Seriously though, I do have to wonder how Mathilde's "public" rap sheet stands up to other Grey LMs by this point. Destroyed the Stirlandian League, tore down Castle Drakenhof, reclaimed five of the Eight Peaks and nuked half a Waaagh with her mountain, pulled a dwarf mountain from solid stone, saved the Okral from the bottom of a river, convinced the Karaz Ankor to retroactively adopt her, and now rallied Kislev to kill an ancient forest spirit, if word of who Drycha is gets out.

I doubt she's the best LM running around, but that's probably pretty good for a relatively young age. It would be cool if Eike talks about our feats in the runout mill—probably exaggerated—the next time we visit her.

Wait... did we remember to tell the Elector count in Ostermark what happened? Because last we heard he was gathering his army close enough that we could have brought them to the fight to deal wih whatever mysterious thing was happening in the forest.

And now we are going to just come on in and go "Oh don't worrying about it! Found out what it was, Dryad by the way, so I raised an army in Kislev lead by the Tzar himself and killed it. Slava Kislev!"

Mathilde hasn't left the battlefield yet. She'll let him know on her way through.

So, I think this bit solidified a Total War: Warhammer trait for Lady Magister Mathilde: she has a chance of reinforcing any nearby allied army/settlement that is attacked, and doubles reinforcement range for up to 2 other allied armies.

Because Drycha thought she was attacking a local settlement, but dragged in Mathilde, who dragged in more reinforcements that she thought were too far away to hear about it/react.

And, of course, given her excessive strategic movement capabilities, she pretty much can be anywhere.

If we make a dryad butt staff, it should go to one of the Lord magisters, depending on what it's good for.
Probably Starke.
Eike would benefit more from a grounding rod at this stage, and the foreseeable future.

Given how it was mentionned previously how important it was for the Hags to see the troubles in the forest resolved, I feel they might feel they owe us a favor even if Boris doesn't introduce us. On the other hand, having another country back the project is huge politicaly...

And I want to investigate the inverted waystones if necessary. Having official access also means we can potentially investigate waystones in places that might otherwise be restricted and perhaps get access to new types of waystones to study.

Ok so here is the reason why I think for right now Hag Witches are useful. We are still at the start of the project, we have not done lay the foundations. As of the near to mid future we do not really need access to Kislev, but we can always use more lore and the sooner we integrate it the better. If there is anyone who is likely to, as Boney put it, walk up to a Waystone and call them Jim it is a Hag Witch, we do not know where their lore came from other than some Widow connections, but other than that former Kurgans and spirit binders... methinks we are looking at some thoroughly scrubbed daemon lore and if that is the case it is something none of the elder races and as far as we know none of the Colleges have.
