Tbh Angel's descendant would also work pun wise.
No. we were told that doubling down is still working for that trait. We got told the that sword guns combo with either training option so double down. Remember how the last chapter had amazing bonuses that carried them? That's from doubling down. Doubling down is GOOD.
--[] when fighting black legion: "Tonight, Sons join the Father."
Abaddon the Despoiler: You shall perish like your fatherAnd not really counting but "Tonight, Sons join the Father." was made using "Tonight, Graham joins the battle" as baseline
Yes, it also funnily enough works more against Black Legion, formerly known as Sons of HorusAbaddon the Despoiler: You shall perish like your father
HotS marine: We both will, I'll make sure of it
I love how the Creed can be interpreted for either party being the ones to join their father, and how "Sons", nor "Son" is used so both groups dying when they meet on the battle field is still viable
While true enough, I personally am fishing for hiden combo, but I guess a variant plan with logical and boring stuff like chaplins or marksmen could also work.Gonna be honest, spear training honestly seems ridiculously wasteful considering that this chapter is already amazingly good at sword and guns. Even if Sanginius i himself was a spear user we really shouldn't too hard in trying to emulate him to the point of being detrimental. And yes it is absolutely is detrimental when w know for sure that say further specializing in something they are already good at makes them legends in said skill and thus increases their life span and ability to succeed.
Going with spears in this case feels Ike a vanity thing due to how redundant it is and how less effective it would make them since they are already amazing with two different weapon styles.
You assume that only way to get semi-legendary tier traits is to double down. Taking spears, swords, guns and specialised weapons could very well turn into trait like "Master of all Arms" or something like that. Or just jack of all trades according to the OG quote:Another reason to value legendary tier skills is that they seem to seriously affect how well they do overall. For example imagine that the legendary sword skills along with fortification backed by entrenchment is why the Guard has such high rolls during their adventures.
Spear training adds little to nothing. Especially compared to how big a bonus legendary tier skills give. I rather we prioritize our chapters succeeding as best we can over trying to have them cosplay their Primarch. Which is honestly something that seems like their own Primarch would frown upon. Since realistically seems like way more would have died than necessary if we prioritized effectiveness over appeance.
A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes is better than a master of one
Thats the path of dual wielding Guardian Spears right thereAlternatively we could go full combat autist and pick training in spears, marksmanship and swords.
Might be funny.
I don't think it's boring to double down on skills when they combo since that leads to legendary skills. For example skill wise there is a difference between he average soldier with a gun and John Wick. Beside that trying to go with synergies to boost skills beyond where they would have been normally also encourages the creation of more unique chapters. For example we likely would never pick something like marksmanship or entrenchment if they didn't happen to synergies with skills we rolled for certain chapters. While true enough, I personally am fishing for hiden combo, but I guess a variant plan with logical and boring stuff like chaplins or marksmen could also work.
It's just Hawkboi was known for using spear, gun and the blade, and I doubt we get a chance for that combo later on. And while it would be detrimental for other chapters (but unlikely given that we are chosing bonuses and @undead frog is rule of cool style of QM), this one has prophecy and in my plan they doubledown with librarians, they will know which battles require which weapon (especially with specialised ammo)
Or it may do nothing but waste legendary tier skills. Also our chapter wouldn't be a master of one since they are skilled in several areas. Also we aren't the Ultramarines or rather we go with specialization to amour chapters mor e unique to befriend with. You assume that only way to get semi-legendary tier traits is to double down. Taking spears, swords, guns and specialised weapons could very well turn into trait like "Master of all Arms" or something like that. Or just jack of all trades according to the OG quote:
hmm this is a plan synergies with long life.[] Plan: From Above
-[] Seraph Brotherhood
-[] White with red on the gauntlets and greaves.
-[] Six wings arranged around a red heart with a black blood droplet.
-[] "We fly for Sanguinius!"
-[] Blademasters: The Chapter's Marines have honed their skills with the blade, and are among the finest swordsmen in the Imperium.
-[] Marksmen: Even among Space Marines the marksmanship of the Chapter is top of the line.
-[] Apothecaries: This chapter has extra Apothecaries among its ranks.
-[] Extra Assault Packs: The Chapter has a great number of Assault Packs, letting them retain a greater number of Assault Marines in each Company.
-[] Extra Thunderhawks: The Chapter has access to additional Thunderhawks, of both Gunship, Transporter and Annihilator models, giving them superior heavy air power.
Chaplain, Librariran & Apothecarythe weird memes are extra apothecaries and extra dred naughts.
with extra dread it's probably lead to a chapter of ancients.
Dante's Best Friendo and seniors ;v
While gun is less known of his weapons, he did wielded one, as we can see Infernus on his modelAlso Sanginuis isn't actually a gun user from what I'm seeing.
