The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

I wonder if the resurgence of the Imperial Truth would lead to some Inquisitors being believers in it? Seems possible considering all the different factions with different ideologies inside the Inquisition itself. The fact that our guys work in counter intelligence seems like that may also help.

As for the Keepers and the ecclesiarchy? Not even remotely surprised, in fact that roll seemed pretty fitting thematically. Imagine that the church hates the Keepers as much as they hate the Mechanicus? Ironically can see The Keepers actually getting along quite better with the Mechanicus than the Imperial Church.

Here is hoping that Guilliman could give us the all clear himself. Would love to see his reaction to the Keepers actions once he wakes up in the future.

No really Ultramarines are super adaptable and the chapters position on faith is so antithetical to anything anyone thinks of the Word Bearers that the latters claims of any ties of kinship seems utterly ridiculous at best.

In the Imperium only Grimm really knows and he... just doesn't care.
You'd think he'd find the entire thing funny, considering how much he loathes Chaos and the only thing that he hates more than the hack that is 6-1 is Chaos.

Oh...I am noticed...and approved of? Emperorhelpmeplease.

Rolls could be better but I'm glad they survived till the present at least.

Poor children. They deserved something better then years of civil war.
eh, we were fighting against the Ecclesiarchy and sticking to the Imperial Truth, unless they rolled nat 100's in the beginning this was always going to be a canon event. Them surviving till present is an achievement of themselves and it makes it great for stories! they are entrenched and survived like Cockroaches in the present. I wonder how other chapters feel about them.

If you count introducing yet another massive source of Imperial infighting that has caused extremely bloody wars on multiple o
Oh Heavens no! that's not bug, its a feature

but seriously we had Grim contribute too much good to the 40k Verse we needed to balance it out with a headache. And we ALL knew it would result in this unless this chapter knocked it out of the park in the beginning and we know how Zealous the Black Templars and the Sisters of Battle are sooo this was expected.

These guys are literally the Word Bearer's worst possible matchup.

Nothing short of a nat 1 was going to lead to the Word Bearers having anything close to a good time.
Ohhh that's why it was such a big modifier. Well shit that pair with the traits they got early really tipped the scales. and fair enough with that modifier it would reck Word Bearers.

... If these guys have a meme of their own it's totally going to be a 'Just as the founding fathers intended' thing ain't it.
A troupe of Traitorous Word Bearers break into the Fortress Monastery

What the Emperor? I grab my Pallan Warp Eater and bolter

I Sic my Warp Eater on the first one, he's dead on the spot.

I draw my bolter on the second one and it explodes because the I don't follow the idiotic religion and using incense and oil, nailing the nearby Pallan.

I have to resort on the Dual Heavy Bolter mounted on the stair way (TALLY HO LADS) the bolts shred the two book thumpers, the sound and extra shrapnel setting off the Monastery Alarms.

Draw Power Sword and run through the last Terrified Traitor.

He bleeds out waiting for the Inquisition/Grey knights to arrive because without the blessing of the fake so called 'gods' of the war or able to summon any Daemons he dies like another other.

Ahhh, just as the Man Emperor Intended.

TTS Man-Emperor: Yay.

AN: unsure if I should have used Grav or Melta Cannon for the star part or who to use as the break in's.

I imagine that the Black Templars would absolutely loathe the Keepers of Flame.

Cause, you know, they're Black Templars.

As for the rest, it's going to be a 50/50 rep within the Imperium though, I'd imagine Roboute absolutely loving that at the very least, there's some within the Imperium that still holds true to the ideals of his Father.

I own a bolter for home defense,
since that's what the Emperor of mankind intended.

Four Word Bearers break into my house.
"What the extradimensional warp entity?" As I grab my aquilla power armor pattern helmet and Bolter.

Blow a fist sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot.
Draw my melta pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's badly maintained archeotech and nails the neighbors Rhino.
I have to resort to the plasma cannon mounted at the top of the stairs overcharged by the fortress monastaries reactor, "Tally ho lads" the shards of what was once a plasma cannon shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off Land raider alarms for kilometers.
Call in the serfs and watch as they use a laser cutter to bisect the last terrified traitor to the throne.
He "Bleeds out" waiting on the arbities to arrive since bisections are impossible to stitch up, Just as the emperor of mankind intended.

Ave Roubute! Fellow Ultramarines!
Same wavelength and damn better than mind and good way to use the Melta pistol as the flicklock. good job.

also I somehow forget it was Ultramarine Primary and word bearer secondary geneseed with this one.

Man, I wish the rolls against the Word Bearers were higher, because with that modifier we could've potentially seen a 180 roll.

Landing on that twice would've probably been "you guys wipe out the Word Bearers completely". :V

Question @undead frog, would the Pallen Warp Eater be found on other planets like Jujuarn or is it the type of warpy-like monster that the chapter keeps a tight lid on their home planet? Have you also rolled for us to have coping mechanism for our chapter for us?

Like, it would be interesting if the Raven Guard chapter had unlocked the ability to basically become warp beings similar to their Primarch because he himself unlocked that without loosing his Primarch soul. But I imagine it would need specific training and planet AND something as a very legendary trait that has to do with warp ability that Corvus has but fucking denies that because he hates psykers.
