okay so because it is between the two of em i prefer the relax option so im dropping the original. I just dont want to waste a turn action on relaxing and we didnt pick music. im still sad abt not picking music we could have been every lesbian in westeros's fucking dream man. Alicent would have been living the worst timeline for her comphet

I will say, I won't be particularly upset if we end up talking with Borros Baratheon or Harwin Strong instead of relaxing- they're both useful (or character-apropos) convos despite my vote to chillax; admittedly I'm also curious what the stress mechanic will entail and I assume any outcomes will be well-written as always
 
ah iwas thinking of being the main inspiration for Rhaegar in the future. he'd be Rhaenyra with longer hair this timeline lol

The study action is still available, so we can choose the music option next time we decide to study.

I would also love to go for music because Targaryen and music go together like peanut butter and jelly... No matter how much of an asshole Daenon is, this is one of the coolest scenes in the show...

But yeah, it would be pretty cool, and even if Rhaenyra has (understandably) rejected learning music because it was a "proper" interest for a lady, music and poetry are also considered as proper interest for a knight (both IRL and in Westeros) so there is that...

    From what I can see:

    Borros and Jeyne:
    --Both have decently close blood ties to the Targs
    --Both have significant political power via Lord Paramouncy, except former is the heir and latter is current ruler (and both are young enough to likely stick around when shit goes down in a few decades or so)
    --Both could use honestly use some wooing as Borros was completely turned off from the Blacks in canon while Jeyne was technically Black aligned but kinda...did about as much as Lysa

    I also don't think there's anything suggesting the Stormlands are significantly more powerful and important than the Vale to win over. Maybe the Stormlands would have an easier time of invading King's Landing in worst case scenario?

    Jeyne has imo the additional socialization bonus of maybe being able to connect with Rhaenyra on liking girls as a girl. Sure maybe some people focused on that primarily but I see it as a potential extra layer on top of all the political reasons above.

    Well, in an abstract spherical cow world, I would hold that to be why the Stormlands are in fact more important. While, OTOH, the Vale is pretty boxed in - the pass of the Bloody Gate can be defended from both sides, after all, as we found out in FITE. Like, the idea that with maybe a bit more attention to Borros we can prevent the Stormlands from eventually declaring against us is not without merit, though of course I disagreed on everything else of that wider plan.

    However, in any case, I am fairly certain that isn't what @Zimmerwald1915 meant.
     
    I think Jeyne's status as a homosexual woman is, um, probably what was being refrence in Zimmerwald's comment
