Nah, you're good until morning my time. (Which is a good 12 hours or so)
Still a few of our regulars who haven't checked in yet, after all.

But it's not like you can ask them to do that, so you're just going to be so focused on San Diego you have no way to pay attention closer to home...

Assuming the two battles are in the same difficulty ballpark, I'd go with Tellison on the extra gear. He's still going to be rather barebones compared to the Beowulf.

-Archie Comic's continued use of brands such as Archie, Josie and the Pussycats, Happy Days, and others to explore what it means to live in the world of the day mean that their fanbase is loyal and continuous. While they do certainly produce "wacky" crossovers with other publishers and more action-oriented franchises, their storytelling is typically much more subdued and character-driven.
Do the elves here get a spell to change their gender (once per month)?
That's a thing in the latest DnD edition I think.
More seriously, Pathfinder is quite grimdark.
uperman continues to be much as he was originally, though more recently artists have sought to depict him and other Kryptonians as a species who had been unified so long their various ethnicities blended together (harkening back to the actor Dean Cain's appearance decades before)
Wait, why is Wolf-Wolf-Wolf sending Banner to NYC? I thought the whole reason his body wasn't built with weapons installed was so he wouldn't feel obligated to be a living weapon for us if he didn't want to, and I don't remember him giving his opinion on that or training for it in the narrative yet.
Because he's a robot built to serve us and no matter how much the truth is embellished, that is his duty to do.
The OOC reason is that he's cheaper to prepare for the fight than any other combination.
OOC we know that's what he's going to do, but the tyke was just born last month, shouldn't we give him some more time to get settled in before throwing him at our enemies?
GGG did way less than the things he's been given and he seems okay so far. Besides, if his option wins, chances are that he'll automatically volunteer himself.
Don't you have to pay half the unit cost (so 2 RP) along with the upgrades for the emergency modification? Thus your plan would exceed our current budget by 1 point I think.
That being said: @veekie , can you edit your plan to specify that the support wings are Longships in case it's not automatically applied? They're slightly better compared with regular TMUs.

Personally, I was reading it as "Superman doesn't see people as black, white, hispanic, or whatever, only as Earthlings, Kryptonians and non-Earthlings". Colour-blind, so to say.

People still read these trash comics in the future? Well, I suppose it's better than Two-face suddenly becoming "Trump-esque" (seriously).

So, you want to have basically Super-Obama. Actually, that happened in one comic or two already.

ERROR: TIME-DATE GROUP UNKNOWN

"So the fools above think to match their might to mine?"
The incubation chamber roared with energy, splaying further unspeakable colors across Sheol's hunched over figure. Wizened, trembling fingers flew across the controls, and for all the appearance of a withered old man the scientist showed no signs of faltering in his labors. "Apply some nutrient flow here," he muttered, no more casually than if he were to discuss a grocery list, "acid solution there, account for that…"
It had taken him a good few years to truly understand how the machinery worked. But through trial, error, and the blood, sweat and tears of his test subjects, he had perfected the process. No matter how many of his creatures were struck down by Yukimura's lackey, Sheol had the skill, the resources, the discipline, and above all else, the untarnished conviction to create MORE creatures. DIFFERENT creatures.
STRONGER creatures.
"And this will be no different," he muttered as the gestation fluids drained from the tank. The hulking, scaly creature stirred the moment oxygen was allowed into the tank. Sound proofed as the chamber was, Sheol could still feel more than hear the angry roar of this latest marvel of evolutionary genius.
Sheol smiled, a frightening sight to behold. "Patience, monster," he said as a trembling hand depressed another rune. "You will have your prey."
The creature's movements were immediately stilled as images flooded directly into its brain. A panoramic view of the fools' naval facility, with all the vulnerable drydocked vessels within, featured the most prominently. And superimposed over that scene were a variety of both audio and visual cues Sheol knew the creature could not – would not – ignore.
A calamitous seascape of ruined hulls, enveloped by water turned grotesque colors by blood and oil with smoke and fire raging across the city in the distance beyond.
The creaking screams of metal being rent and sundered in its mighty grasp.
Mercury V lying broken and defeated beneath its feet.
The moment the images dispersed, the chamber slowly began to shift, towards what served in the alien facility as an airlock. "Go," Sheol commanded. Despite the work having taken its toll, forcing the greatest genius to reluctantly seat himself as he puffed and wheezed to get his breath back.
"Go, and destroy."

Pegasus Command Bridge
"Are you sure that was wise, Sir?" Haruko asked from the command seat of the Pegasus.
Admittedly, the Pegasus was everything she ever wanted. She hadn't realized that Wilde and Henry were also fans of older science fiction shows and animations, and what had started as a joke-sketch for a bridge was immediately authorized on her orders. Though outwardly the Pegasus strongly resembled a heavy cruiser of the mid-twentieth century, inside the bridge there was an elevated command throne with console connections that monitored all facets of the vessel. Though beneath her there were a handful of crew monitoring the controls, they had another edge in this regard.
Haruko would have to remember to thank Doctor Ignatov later. Being able to use a customized sat-link connection to just stream in the 'girls' as the bridge crew was going to be incredibly helpful.
"Was what wise?" her superior asked calmly. "I haven't the slightest idea of what you're talking about."
Haruko just growled in an exasperated tone. "Sir, if the Legion is seen at New York, those of rank are going to naturally blame us," she tried again. "Wouldn't it have been better to keep them hidden?"
"However roundabout you want to go through this discussion," Major Devin continued to say cheerfully (well, as cheerfully as a man working on three hour of sleep can sound), "If they chose to go out there on their own, we can't exactly do much, can we? They're technically a foreign government's peacekeeping force; I'm not going to try and order them."
Haruko just sighed in resignation, but was startled when Major Devin kept going. "Besides, so what if they get seen? If I know Galbinus' crew, people will see them as helping them against the Westphalians." He shrugged over the sat-link image. "At best anyway. At worst, people will think they're another byproduct of the DFRI when they see Tellison and the Perseus out there. And there's just not enough hours in the day to correct them."
"If you say so," Haruko said reluctantly. Deciding that avenue of approach wasn't going to be productive, she changed course. "We should be arriving in Naval Base San Diego's air space within the hour. From there, we should have just enough time to prepare some sort of response before the kaiju's arrival."
"Good," he said, all traces of amusement gone from his voice. "Throw General Peters' name around if you have to, but make damn sure that base cooperates."
"And if they don't?"
"You have a Super Robot, they don't. Their arguments don't mean a damn thing after that."

Legio-Galbinus Enclave
"You have an interesting way of circumventing orders, Major," Galbinus said.
"Circumventing what now?" Major Devin just looked at him as if he were the datalink example of 'ignorant innocence.' "Haven't a clue what you mean. Your guys charged out on their own, and I know Cavalier enough by now to know he's like that."
"He is," Galbinus admitted. "Cavalier and the Axiom crew will make good speed to 'New York City.'"
"If your guys just happen to run into them," Devin asked, "Just...have them keep an eye on Tellison, would you? We're all charging blind into New York as it is. We don't need to make it more difficult."
"Cavalier is already aware," Galbinus assured the human commander. "He will not say it, but he still feels he owes you and yours a debt to repay. He will make sure Lieutenant Tellison is watched over."
"He doesn't owe us anything," Devin said. "But...thank you, Galbinus."
"I seem to recall there is nothing to thank me for," Galbinus said slyly. "We never had any discussion about cooperative ventures today."
"Hey, you try dealing with going off of three hours of sleep with only caffeine to keep you going," Devin grumbled. "Then try making sound decisions." He paused. "...do you guys sleep at all?"
"Ask that question at a later time," Galbinus grimaced. "Patch will not stop talking about physiological comparisons."
- Beowulf
- Timberwolf
- Foxhound
- First Experimental Support Wing.
Bigger Guns:
- Every three turns, the Pegasus may initiate a Heavy Weapon Strike. Roll for hit and damage as normal.
- Automatically equips the most recent Heavy Weapon you have developed (such as the Energy Blaster) at no cost.

Airspace above Naval Base San Diego
"The commander is indisposed, Ma'am," the naval lieutenant (junior grade? Haruko always had problems with ranks on naval uniforms) on the other end of the sat-link said. She had a look of disgust she wasn't even trying to hide, which said quite a bit about this particular drydock's state of affairs. "Locked himself up in his quarters and hasn't come out. He's been in there since word of the arriving kaiju came in this morning."
"So can I presume that makes you the acting officer-in-charge of this section?" Haruko asked coolly.
"Yes, Ma'am," the lieutenant replied. "Facility commander already verified it after I ran that up the chain. He'd have gotten with you already, but he's kind of busy trying to evacuate the non-combatants."
"Then I will not bother him," Haruko declared. "Very well then, lieutenant. We need a good landing zone to deploy the Super Robot."
"Music to my ears, Ma'am. If you get with me after you land, I think we'll have just enough time to prepare something before big scaly shows up."
Taking stock, the Naval Base is vulnerable, but you've arrived ahead of it.
Naval Base San Diego Facilities
HP: 60
Damage Thresholds:
- For every 5 total HP taken, a facility will be destroyed.
OBJECTIVE: The Facilities must survive.
You have just enough time to deploy the Beowulf and its components, and prepare one extra item in preparation for the kaiju's arrival. Choose one.
[] Preston-class munitions. Normally reserved as air-to-ground munitions for naval bombers, Lieutenant Cahl is more than happy to have ground crews load them onto your V-33 flight for this mission.
- V-33s will now inflict an additional +1 to their Heavy Weapon Strikes.
[] Drydock Supporting Fire. The vessels are still drydocked, but Lieutenant Cahl assures you that with a bit of time and effort, she can have the munitions and missiles loaded back on with their gunnery crews. It's technically a safety violation, but an incoming kaiju makes for a very convincing exception to policy.
- Counts as a Heavy Weapon Strike at a Conventional level (2 HP). May be used every turn, but it also may draw the attention of the kaiju.
[] Damage Repair Crews. If you can find some of the grease monkeys that haven't evacuated yet, they may be willing to stay behind and fix up some of the damage the facilities takes. They're not Lazarus, though, so if something exploded, that's not coming back.
- Every turn, if the Facilities have taken damage, roll 1d6. On a 4-6, restore 2 HP to the Facilities. However, if Facilities have crossed damage thresholds, those are not coming back.
I will also remind everyone that you may not agree with other people's tastes, but do not openly bash them here. You may not like that source material, but someone out there does, and it's rude to just bash it.
Just respectfully note your disagreement and move on.
