The nearest B-52 Wings are 1450 miles away in Shreveport, Louisiana at Barksdale AFB. The only other one is at Minot AFB, in Minot, North Dakota and that 1500 miles. It would take days to load thing up, 3 hours flight time there, then 3 minutes to permanently widen the shipping channel by removing Kittery Point from the landscape, and then 3 hours back. And then 3 years of uncovering the dud 1000 kg bombs. Hopefully no the hard way.

Trust me, I have a plan. I may even have a plot in here somewhere.

I prefer the move they pulled with A-10s in one of Tom Clancy's books. (I want to say Hunt for Red October, great book.)

Dropped flares in a perfect square around the Russian ships.

Made it clear that they *could* have been bombs... and next time they would be.

It may or may not be a cunning plan, but it is a simple one, since I have read the Evil Overlord's List.

That way, there are far less things that can and will go wrong with it.

She's in the PRT's apartment block in Brockton Bay, since Xellos yoinked her from Bar Harbor, awaiting transport.

Yep, right book. Four Air Force Reserve A-10s dropped a square of flares around the cruiser Kirov, after a Yak-38 hit a USN Tomcat with at least one missile. Kirov was acting as flag for a task force that was trying to drive Red October into an ambush.

Well, that explains it. It's the followers of Kurtulmak that have issues with those that worship Garl Glittergold (or any that even look like they might; when racial holy wars are involved, few bother to confirm the faith of those put to the sword...)

Remember, one of the Taylors he ran from had the power of being able to control 15-20 grams of confetti. It's not how powerful she is that scares him, it's what she manages to pull off with whatever power she has.

The only Cthulu-adjacent Taylor I remember him running into was Summoner, who was in the story that introduced him for the first time, and she just straight-up summoned Big C rather than a shoggoth when Sophia decided to flip her bitch switch to 'More Bitch'.
