Here after, I suspect he'll be very wary of tiny blonds.

Vicky's not tiny. Neither is she Jennifer Walters, though. Somewhere between 5"4', and 5'6"? Amy is a bit taller than her sister.

Actually, the city guards knew him already as a minor but ultimately inconsequential hoodlum - they knew who he was because he had one of those faces which when you see it just rings a bell...

A real ding-a-ling?

Then again, its a pity he wasn't a south American - then we could say that the clock struck juan....

I... don't quite get it, but these past few posts somehow ring a bell... I'm getting vibes I should recognize these... but from where, though?

... All this thinking is taking a toll on my brain...

I am only slightly disconcerted that someone has decided to give one of Dark Star's weapons to Dinah.

Slightly, because while she's probably one of the best people to trust with wielding it, it's still effectively a strategic weapon under most circumstances.

That must be a extra strong mercy on the mace when it saved him from the secondary Impacts.

Especially if the non-lethal damage didn't then wrap back around into being lethal damage, several times over. That can be an issue with using a Mercy weapon against foes who have lowish HP while you deal a ton of damage. You might accidentally kill someone anyway with a crit of if you rolled high damage. I mean, if someone only has 10 HP, then dealing 30+ points of non-lethal damage is still likely to kill them.

I was thinking it was a pinball mace, myself - Upon impact, it repels its target at 10x impact force, while applying a repulsion effect to them so they rather then taking damage they bounce off of anything they hit with the same amount of force that they had upon impact, and a damage negation buff so that they take no impact damage - the effect keeps going until the kinetic force of the initial strike is depleted.

And now i Kind of want one of those...

THe mace, as I recall, has two main aspects. The first is Mercy, which converts all damage dealt with it to Non-Lethal damage. The second is the "impact" enchantment that sends the target flying away, pinballing off objects in their paith. That second part protects from injuries caused by bouncing off/into objects. While the first converts the initial hit into non-lethal damage. Considering Vicky used all of her strength for that blow, including spinning to add more momentum to the swing, it's impressive that Vicky didn't quite literally bruise the thug to death from the initial non-lethal damage impact.

Wait...

*pulls out books and double checks*

Huh, I guess that's something Pathfinder 1e changed from D&D 3.5... In 3.5 apparently you can suffer infinite non-lethal damage without any true injury being suffered, while in Pathfinder 1e once non-lethal damage totals HP+Con, it wraps around into being lethal damage. I once saw a high level monk punch a noble non-lethally, only to roll max damage and get a crit. Since he had a strength score of 22 when factoring in gear, that meant 20+6*2 damage, he non-lethally separated the noble's head from his shoulders with a single punch. Well, it was actually extremely lethal, but you get the idea.

While it may be slightly different than Galvayra from Slayers TRY, it is still an artifact. As an artifact, it only reveals its true abilities to someone or something who meets the right conditions. Right now, Dinah - as Weaver - has access to a subset of what it can do. She can, at it'd most basic, use it to cast Magic Missile all day long. As demonstrated, she can also say a word in Elvish, and it casts a higher level spell. She's been seen to cast Lightning Bolt and Web with it.

However, for her to use the true power of the bow, she needs to have it looked at by a certain person, or persons. Probably a Elvish priest(ess) of Sehanine, or an Elvish Wizard. Because Dinah's never going to command in a loud voice "Light, Come Forth!" and then proceed to Wave Motion Gun everything to the horizon and then punch a hole into the Ethereal plane with it, Right?

Because you can bet that the PRT / Protectorate has had Naurelin cast Identify on it. In fact, I'd hazard a guess a number of anomalous items in the PRT Lockups have been looked at by Naurelin, and they've found some minor magic items in the process.

What if it took one of its other forms?

I thought that part of the mercy enchantment meant that there was no danger of that. Might have been a house rule or something.

So, it's not a demon lord in the form of a starship turned into a bow of light?

If they haven't, it's only a matter of time. Especially as more evidence that yes, magic is real and so are magic items. Heck, I'd imagine Clockblocker's spear and... (trails off as faint strains of Wagner can be heard), anyway, I'd imagine those items got Identified really soon after his latest usage of them.

Vicky's height in canon is never specified, but she was on the basketball team, so she's well above average.
You don't have to be tall to play basketball (granted, it helps), being a good jumper and/or good aim with the ball (for both passing and shooting) can be more important.

I was tall for my age for most of my teens, but my aim sucked.

The best player on the basketball team when I was in high school was the shortest guy on the team. Admittedly, he was 5'9", but considering that the next shortest team member was 6'2"? But give the short guy the ball from anywhere on the court, and you stood a halfway decent chance of getting a basket. We spent a year or two as state champions because of him.

Who was the shortest NBA Player?
answer:
Tyrone Curtis "Muggsy" Bogues is an American former basketball player. The shortest player ever to play in the National Basketball Association, the 5 ft 3 in Bogues played point guard for four teams during his 14-season career in the NBA. Wikipedia
