Orc Quest; or, A Critical Examination of Agency Through in Interactive Fiction (Warcraft)

[X] Prepare a response to the Ice Lord, calling upon the other magicians in the warband and using Myzrael to defeat the other elemental.

This, is because Myzrael is mad, and this hopefully will display her madness. And if she gets yoinked by Drek'Thar, so be it.

[X] Kill Drek'thar before the binding can complete, dispelling Lokholar.

Reason: I do not trust Myzrael to follow the plan. In our encounters with elementals we have almost always failed to do what we set out to do, and we are especially hostile with the Earth elementals. I do not want Proudpeak 2.0, but stronger, because like it or not Myzrael is also enslaved just like Proudpeak, and I do not want her going "The mountain does not bow". And I especially do not want Forneus 2.0, which it will be if we set two titanic elementals/spirits to battle each other just like in Dreadmist Peaks.

Jokes on you Ice Lord, Rock is super effective against Ice!

The other option is simply too risky. Cut the head off this snake, break the morale of the enemy and get immediately to deescalation.

While I get that Drek'thar's gone mad with grief, I'd rather not follow suit and use our own men and the Frostwolves as collateral damage between two elemental lords.

It is unfortunate but he's far too gone and needs to be put down.

Hahaha, fuck no.
Drek'thar is a lost cause at this point, he's already lost too much and convinced himself too thoroughly that we are Orc!Arthas so I am absolutely not going to risk a massive Elemental fight to preserve him.
Kill him and end the summoning, then deal with the remaining Frostwolves.

At the very worst, we no longer have to deal with a directed, shaman buffed mega elemental bc Drekthar is dead and the FW shamans have to help us so as to not die themselves. At the very best the cut summoning significantly reduces the elemental's power, making it way easier to banish or bind ourselves

Ah hell yeah. Another elemental towards our collection.

That could depend on the roll.

@FractiousDay let's say she gets summoned for a kaiju battle, there will be a roll to control her right?

It's actually BECAUSE Myzrael is ProudPeak 2.0 that I want to fire her off.
The idea is that after the battle the Frostwolves can see about taking her, and hopefully if things go south we can team up to bring her down. Drek'Thar might be hurting too much to really comment, but I'm sure at least a few of the Frostwolf shaken will start asking smart questions Grok can answer, and hopefully someone will ask smarter questions that can open a path forward.
I want to find the road to peace between Grok and Thrall, if we can find a way to pull it off.

We chose to take the fall for the Burning Blade, and that's not easily undone.

But if we can get Grok back in Thrall's good graces…Well.

Is this in the hopes Drek Thar gets discredited while he's still alive to rant and rave?

It's the option that will put the least amount of risk on our troops and killing Drek'thar gets rid of their leader, the guy who's lost the plot and won't stop trying to kill Grok, and it will further establish Groks reputation as a badass.

Edit:

Killing Drek'thar while smart in the short term could cause even more problems long term.

It will also convince Thrall that we're a Burning Legion plant. He's a reasonable guy and so is Drek'Thar. We were trying to get people to leave this village anyway. We kill him and the Horde starts fighting itself and eventually collapses simply because Thrall won't be receptive to any attempts at diplomacy afterward.

Vs
We beat Drek'thar up and we don't cause a civil war.

Errrr I dunno.

This does hinge on us being able to control it which could happen but I don't know about the risks to it but..... where there's risk there's experience gain.
