Well the first thought was some kind of wind spirit bound to protect me.

My second thought was something vaguely like the recall trick that would deflect ranged attacks away from me.

My third idea was some kind of floating energy shield.

I'm not really super knowledgeable about Sedir so I'm sorry if any of these don't work.

Tbh I think anyone that uses a bow and arrow should get the former enchanted if they have the chance, it's much easier and sustainable to use them a melee weapon.

Melee weapon?

Skill issue: better archery, better mobility, better positioning, sax on your belt as a backup instead of using a "bow" staff.

Well, I've both. A bow is useful especially since I am always looking up, and a spear since a bow is tough to shoot underwater.
 
I think I might just include Akali carving his statues in an Omake instead to further expand on it and since he's dead :V
 
PSA in regards to onigar and them hitting shields. IF suggested the following Trick as an option on Discord:

Strong Shield: Essentially, you use your willpower to paint on a layer of ordstirr which explodes out in a minor burst of concussive force when impacted, stopping any damage from getting through and sending the attacker flying.

This might not fully stop onigar, but it'd help, I'm sure. It is available to anyone with the actual Shield skill. Ragnarr is definitely taking it since he has that skill.

I thought it requires you to train your control over your Ordstirr first?
 
did the Quarry Expedition confirm who we're giving the Oni corpse to? Njall Redaxe is getting the heart, and the Shapecrafter is getting the corpse of the Long Horned Oni, from what the others have said so far.
 
Iirc the people from the western expedition gave their corpse to the Seeress, so we can give ours to the Shapecrafter for upgrades
