So I am still catching up with developments since much of the battle happened in my absence because of how work works for me, but I think I need to roll a d6 maybe?
First round is over and the skeletons appear to be retreating, but it is likely feigned to bait us out of position as the cav has yet to show up. We are holding the line while sending out a harrying force to harrass the retreating skeletons and a kill team to hunt down the necromancer.

The d6 rolls after the threadmark regarding the Draugr retreat are those with ranged-attacks that are firing parting shots at the Draugr. The first round of combat was resolved via private messages/conversations with each 'battlegroup.' After suffering losses- they're now retreating, so most of us with ranged-attacks are firing parting shots at them as they run.
I'm rolling in here because of something I saw in my battlegroup's PM thread. Or that's what that last roll was about.

During the battle, a stray spear came hurtling from the hordes with Gefjosa in its sights. Frozen in fear, there was nothing Gefjosa could do--nothing but watch as Torgarr took it for her. Sacrificing his life for hers, he met his fated day with his head held high.

(Torgarr's player requested to be given his fated day as he could no longer participate)

Oof, there goes my plans for character growth, lol.

Well looks like any celebration we have will also be in Memoriam. We'll kill the necromancer and loot his shit in the name of villagefeeder.

By the way, does anyone know where Torgarr Villagefeeder's land plot was? The QM et al were so efficient about keeping the front page property registry updated that his name's already off the title. :p

Is Team "Hunt Down the Necromancer" full? I'd like vengeance or death.

Not...strictly full, no. We could send you along if you truly need to go.

If Gefjosa's going, so is Njal, I'm not losing more family today.

Okay, yeah, I can fit you guys in.

I renamed it for his Clan. Because they obviously inherit.

Anja is exceptionally tough but i think she'll save blowing herself up with a point blank explosion log for something more glorious than a bunch of skeletons
It had never crossed Erik Hardhead's mind that someone might want to use one of his runic bouncing logs as a melee weapon.

When he learns of what Anja has done, he feels a sudden spike of sheer, all-consuming curiosity. Shortly thereafterwards, he recoils and shivers.

"...Shit, is this how Hrolfr Jurgensson feels all the time?"

[Erik has no frame of reference for sheer mad science curiosity]

Well, that makes sense.

Any man who takes action to dispute this will gain Harald Logarson as an enemy.
Akali Nightsinger will stand as second to this decision.
Cool.

Erik grunts. He pauses longer than most Norsemen would, but anyone who has ever had a conversation with Erik Hardhead will know that for him this is a pretty damn short pause.

"...Me too."

Gefjosa has said nothing since Torgarr died. She takes the spear from his chest, wipes the blood from her cheek wound on its blade, and goes to stand with the group that going to depart after the necromancer.

Alright, so, I can fit those two into the Necromancer Kill Squad, but it leaves home defense a little light, and the Harrying force is one person bigger than IF said he'd prefer anyway, so I have removed Amerion Wardson from the Harrying Force. Sorry, but you're needed guarding the wall.

Njal will pat Gefjosa on the shoulder as we're getting ready to depart and just says softly, "He will be avenged."

Everyone at the beach except Bjorn and Dyri are dead. I can't write for the life of me (there is a reason I don't make Omakes) But I trust that someone more competent can tell a compelling story. TLDR There was the Draug of Gatli Hanisson, a big ass Zombie sea monster and a shit ton of fire.
When Erik Hardhead learns of this, he pauses for a moment, then bellows randomly into the sky:

"..."
"......"
"............"
"STEINARR! THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO SAVE THE GOOD STONE FOR RUNESTONES! EXACTLY! THIS! SITUATION! GAAAAAH!"

He does not yell Ivor's name, for he knows that Ivor Name-Giver, having likely just now been killed in battle by Zombie Viking Aquaman as part of this exact situation, would agree.

Erik Hardhead will be recommending the establishment of a village rock stockpile for carving future runestones ASAP at the next Thing.
