There's a die rolled for each possible Trait, on a 3+ the kid gets it, on a 1-2 they don't. If both parents have it (I think that's just Bloodlust in this case) more dice are rolled, if it's recessive they only get it on a 6.

Some cancel each other out if you get both (most notably, Bold and Content).

All of the dominant will be rolled. I'm planning on limiting dominant traits gained through randomness to 5 or 6, though I can be argued off of this stance

I will say that it is a bad idea to try and choose who the next protagonist is right now because you've got 6 more children to get through and they could very well produce some wild stuff.

Yeah, I'm aware. But I'd still like to try and give our children the best chances of being successful.

I'd like to spend my reward dice on my reward die on Giant's Strength for girl #1 in 'The Best For Our Children' plan.

I mean, that's true, but despite the name I fully realize this is just building in potential now since dice will shift things. I don't think it's wrong to try to build in a potential witch in the family even if we don't end up playing them? There's nothing wrong with just choosing some broadly good stuff either.

We really need the money and loot for 3 kids now from the raids.

Also just a thought but are we taking a female thrall to take care of our kids while we are out raiding?
