[X] (Unlocked: Bold) All three at once

Ended up changing my mind, I think we can win this if we play our cards right, and even taking out 1 or 2 with overwhelming odds would show something.

It also means that we can see what it's like to fight a group and see what gaps we have in that area.

My big worry is that three peers will take us down so quickly it won't actually show us that very well (not beyond the very basics, anyway, which I think we already know, it's more complicated stuff we're lacking). But we are pretty durable, so staying in the fight long enough to see does seem possible. Hence my ambivalence.

Because I like winning fights and picking a fight with three guys at once who are at least roughly on Halla's level sounds like a losing fight. The dumb kind of losing fight.
I do think we have a decent chance of winning but if we take a harder fight our rewards are probably going to be somewhat better.

And even if we lose we have that muna that gives us a 1.5x XP after defeat (note: this isn't me saying that we should aim to lose but that in such a low stake fight betting on a more impressive showing/reward is a lot more palatable when the consequences of falling that bet aren't bad and are even positive) and I do want some experience in fighting several of our peers at a time as we mostly either fight with stronger opponents or many weaker ones.

Also, they have some nice martial arts, I wonder if we can get them to teach us one of those. Don't know what they do but I'm always up for more martial arts.

Cliffside Crest is almost certainly local and we didn't grow up here, and Star-Bright Eyes is probably a bloodline style given the names. I doubt we could learn either. We could learn Berserkergang in theory.

Yeah. I'm definitely thinking the main gap in our defenses we learn about is "if you fight three dudes as strong as you all at once, you get your ass kicked."

We do have some stuff, especially if they don't take us seriously at first...if we can get to the point where the Norns don't object to TSS we can probably take one of them out with that (our other Finales aren't spar-appropriate, but that one is), and Mire Ward will invalidate the archer for at least a bit until he switches tactics, so we can theoretically break this fight down into bite sized chunks if we play it right.

That plus Reinforce Shield, our armor, shield spam, and DR 14 make surviving and even winning possible, I think, though our odds of an actual win strike me as not great. Our odds of staying alive long enough to learn something are a lot better, though.

Just swap all our shapeshift slots including extra into moving so fast we are three people ourselves, duh.

Get so fast we're leaving after image clones, and we don't ever have to worry about being outnumbered!

These are not serious suggestions for this fight.

I don't think we need to grow up somewhere to learn the local style or at least their might be certain style that require you to grow up in a certain community I don't think that one that anchors itself on geography is one of them and if it is we might be able to use a rewrite to learn it anyway by reducing the requirement. But we lose nothing by asking after the spar.

Putin aside the fact that I do thing we have chance to win, if we lose how we lose is very much relevant is the initial strike the thing that took us out,? Did we run out of othstir trying to keep up with three peers? or were we just ground down by a lot of varied attacks?

This is important information for whenever we end up fighting multiple with something at stake.

Your joking but that's what were doing in chakra cultivation quest and it's working wonder's.

I mean I'm only joking about doing it right now.

I think there'd be room one day to load up on speed enhancements and make Time Stands Still just how we view the world, as everyone else moves at snails paces, as the fighting style of a future MC.

Just all in on speeeeed.

We've been told local styles require you to grow up there as they are based on the local culture.

5 of our 7 Shapeshift slots are currently in Speed. And we have two other Speed-boosters as well for a net Speed of 8. We are pretty speed focused.

Point of a spar is to get used to new and different fighting conditions. We have not fought while outnumbered and we need to grt used to it even if it means losing. Especially, actually.

We still don't lose anything by asking and we might be able to use rewrite to learn it anyway. Besides there might be more martial style around that the can in fact teach us.

Oh, I'm down for asking about styles and other martial techniques...we definitely have the prerequisites to learn Berserkergang if nothing else (maybe get that 'official berserker initiation' we've been looking for) and ask about other stuff, but I'm just noting not to get our hopes up.

And burning a Rewrite to learn a Cliff based style seems like a bad call as we lack cliffs to train it further, assuming we even could.
