Imperial Fister can I spend a reward die to learn where Knightly Companions come from? Are they created by the cultivator somehow, bred from special lineages, just show up occasionally?

I may have committed six actually - assuming that Patreon Reward Dice stack up month to month, and I don't think I spent them in anything in July.
They do… but I don't think I had a patreon in July. It says you subscribed on the 4th of August.
Any idea why Odin is guiding us to meet the cousins with your shards?
'Whatever the reason, it forwards his goals somehow.'
And on that note! do you know which shard Hallvar has? Or thats still part of the "when one learns, the other forgets" deal you mentioned?
'Hamr, but he's keeping whatever that gives him close to his chest.'
Apparently he is a good singer, so... did you learned anything about being a Skald?
'I don't think so.'
Also, Heljarskinn is gonna invade Agder, and he is out for blood.... i know you would just kick them on their ass, but do you have any advice when two steelfathers clash?"
'I do not recall but Ironjaw will know more.'

Imperial Fister I am spending my reward dice for more information on knightly companions. In particular where they come from/how knights gain them.
Knightly Companions are bred from traditionally unawakened stock by skilled masters. If the would-be companion proves satisfactory, then they are given to the Page, Squire, and/or Knight in need of new or replacement companions and then awakened.

Anyone else want to give a last minute boost to Hugehands? 10% chance doesn't sound high but we've seen people die with far better odds! Remember, it looks that much better to bring everyone home in one piece!

I could be convinced to throw in my one remaining Reward Die if, and only if, someone else throws one in. I don't feel like it's worth it to take a 10% chance to 5% but making it a sure thing would be.

Great to hear!

So, we need one more person to commit a reward die and we'll have a Perfect Run! Let's go for that flex!

So to ask a followup question. If it isn't going too far. So in theory high quality animals from outside lineages could also be awakened? And do the knightly Cultivators perform the awakening or is that done by specialists?

Asking because I wanted to know how much difficulty a lady seeking to become a knight would have acquiring a suitable mount.

Maybe try throwing Stoker Dice at non-combat tricks and see what happens? I doubt it will work, but that's the point of science

This is a solid call, I'll add it to the research queue.

Huzzah! We've done it! Nobody Dies on Halla's Watch from her crew!

I am interested in the total True Dead from both Hallvar and Farbjorn's crews. I'd like to know the total casualties of this engagement, and Halla would certainly know given she's the one raising all the Bodily Dead.

Yeah, for the purposes of our own interests, we can only spend Dice on our own dead, but it'll be interesting to see what the total dedcount is from this engagement.

The real meme will be if somehow they all make their rolls and literally only eight dudes died in this fight for how bloody it got.

Man.... too bad there are already true deaths on fights Halla was a part of/led...
imagine how powerful of a beat would be that "she is with us... and no one had their fated day with her yet!"

Alas, perhaps for another life.... (Here is hoping for shapecrafter monk)

We weren't the commander in any previous battles where people had True Deaths. So we could still get this for 'while in command' if nobody in Farjorn's Felag had a True Death...but someone probably did.

In theory, yes. A travelling monk may have awakened an animal for some reason or another, or something else may have happened. Traditionally, the Knight is the one who does the awakening, but few Pages are capable of awakening properly so others can do it—though the connection between Knight and Steed will always start weaker then otherwise.

Alright, voting is now closed. So, who spent dice on the death saves again?
