I feel robbed.

Bamboozled out of a cool fight scene where we get to use our really sick kung-fu and other guys use theirs and we all fight like an overexcited ten year old smashing action figures together!

But nooooo, we had to be reasonable, and intelligent, and do basic reconnaissance, and now we have an interesting plot thread with one of our lost relatives! And now we're going to be talking like reasonable adults and learning about cool plot hooks, instead of mindlessly burying our weapons deep in one another, as God intended!

In fairness, if we got the Trick we could use it in our normal human body even when our fylgja isn't around...but yes, the fact that we're usually an owl when we want to eavesdrop is a large part of why I think it's of minimal utility.
 
Hopefully this is benign and he's not decided to go and kill other namesake to repair his Hallr fragment or something. Wait, no, attacking family is nid. Nevermind.

Might be a good chance to trade some Odr Knowledge. I'm sure the Pockets thing is probably something only Halla knows right now, the Venn Diagram of "Odr Cultivators" and "Women who think to use those skills on their Orthstirr" is probably something only she overlaps with today.

I wouldn't assume she's the only one, but most Odr cultivating men are probably not aware, no. Well, depending on if they have an instructor.
 
Huh, might be a good occasional to break out our Special Mead? It's been long enough now that it should be usable, if not necessarily at the best it could be. Mead generally takes about 3-6 weeks to ferment, and we've had this one cooking for a few months now.

If we hit the 'have drinks together' level of camaraderie, sure. I think it's not the best thing to open with, though.

I think it would. There is alot of emphasis on drinking in Norse Culture. It's seen a sacred. We can't really offer any Guest Right but opening a dialogue with Mead isn't out of the Ordinary. Though perhaps not that special Mead we have in the Brewing Pocket.

I'm aware, I just don't think it's necessarily the best approach in this specific instance. Still, whether to do that or not isn't part of this vote, so I'm sure Halla will use her best judgment.

If he did, I doubt Hallr would sit and let him.
And yeah, there is the nid too.
And that's just the immediate damage, there is also all the rumors thats gonna spread.

The Matron comes to mind.
Then, as deadman said, other female Odr cultivators definitely exist too, and they are probably not as battle hungry as Halla.

I mean, we outnumber his people two to one and most of his aren't the most badass people ever per what we were told. He and Silverscales are clearly very dangerous men (I'd say Silverscales likely has a Snake Fylgja at 7+, for instance), but we have half a dozen people approaching Ironbrother level on top of our almost two to one numerical advantage. A fight here probably doesn't end well for him.

Even reputation and honor aside, fighting us is just a bad plan.

hmm, gives me a thought. can we make other stuff from aspects? with other skills?

perhaps a sail to harness something?

or even( later on) a waterwheel working on Odr when we are higher realm?
