Am I the only one who read this and started wanting an Ewok Abyss Walker?
KETTCH LIVES!

On a more-related-to-the-pink-bear-at-hand note, the Praetorian Guard Chain Whips are called Bilari electro-chain whips. Suggesting they are pertaining to the pink bears.

I am now imagining a revamp of the praetorian guard scene where Rey and Kylo fight against pink bears with those things and it makes me go "what".

Considering Bilar are a Made-For-The-Late-'80s-Tabletop-Roleplaying-Game Race that was explicitly Not For Players?

I'm not surprised Riphath missed them in his guide to Telepathic Species. They only made contact with the greater galaxy "sometime between 3000 and 1000 BBY" and generally don't leave their planet. (Why would they? Rainforests + Volcanoes + Business Centers = Why Leave?)

So, when it comes to the Force Bond thing...well, good news, bad news. The good news is, Asajj is about to explode with Force knowledge and skill, because Ciaran has spent the better part of a decade rounding up almost every esoteric force technique in the galaxy, and two lightsaber styles. The bad news is that, even with grabbing her Nightsister training, Ciaran will not be able to keep up, and she does not have a Rivalry with Asajj to boost her up. We'll need to get some kind of large, untyped boost to Lore and Martial, or we'll just have to accept that Asajj has inescapably surpassed us in the Force.
Acceptance. Let Asajj and Ciaran have their own niches to specialise in.

"It's..." Ciaran's eyes unfocused briefly before she turned to face Asajj. "I think it's because I knew something like this would happen. We're both the kind of stubborn idiots who can't really say what we need to without a drag-out fight first. Or something like that. I dunno, I think I'm still a bit delirious right now. How long were we fighting for?"
Yeah, I can see Asajj being like that? But since when has this applied to Ciaran?

...I don't

I uh...

Uhhhh...

Like the crazy thing about this is that on a purely factual level this could be a thing. It even has canonical precedence - there have been Bilar con artists. But...it's a bunch of teddy bears in a trenchcoat.

...I think I need time to process this and figure out what the hell I should do. Still have the +10 while I do that.

*Goes to stare out window in a suitably melancholy fashion*

I may love insanity. I may love insanity A LOT. But right now I agree with everyone. No. Just... no.

Map of Abyss Watcher Assets/CNS Space (As of Turn 28)
Map: Abyss Watcher Assets & CNS Space
As of Turn 28 Results

In the first quarter of Year 16 (19 BBY), Lady Ciaran arranged for Taris to host the Galactic Games, celebrating the planet's new prominence as the center of Neutral Space. Taris has become the center of Abyss Watcher operations as well: the headquarters of both Karada Corporation and Silver Cross have been transferred from Coruscant to Taris.

The Abyss Watchers were kept busy this quarter: capturing the Separatist super-ship Devastation (and gifting it to the Chiss Ascendancy), killing Maul and Savage, discrediting Admiral Tarkin, subverting Admiral Yularen and the 501st Legion, recruiting Galen Erso and Mungo Baobab, reaching out to Jedi on Cularin and Corellia, and seizing a little Rakatan space station called the Foundry.

Oh, and PR-1 looks like a human now.

Along with heavy investment in the Kalee economy, Lordran industry, and Lorrdian culture, the Abyss Watchers planted several new bases: an archaeological outpost on Yavin, and facilities on Mustafar and Thyferra dedicated to industry and commerce, respectively.

As for the many members of the Council of Neutral Systems, they've benefited enormously from the new Assembly Hall located on Taris, and the Integration Bureau reports that recruitment rates are up. Between the shipwrights of Dac, the weaponsmiths of Merr, the statesmen of Alsakan and Ansion and Nouane, the farmers of Salliche, the traders of D'Aelgoth, the seers of Iktotch and M'haeli, the billion-man mercenary army of Ailon, and the hive-mind teddy-bears of Mima II... the CNS is in a much stronger position than it was even three months ago.

Searchable galaxy map.

If this comes out right, there should be an embedded album below with all of this quest's Galaxy Maps, starting from Turn 21. It should be possible to flip between them, making it easier to see what's changed and how far we've come.

Wow. I can't believe how much territory we've gained in just a few years. We should really consolidate our territories in the Galactic South though.

The thing you tried to do wasn't working at first, then it did, and now it's just a vertical white line. Edit: It's working again. Edit: sometimes

Fortunately I am a powerful telepath and will transcribe your thoughts for the rest of the quest.
Dr. Snark's inner monologue said:
*Why did it ever become a serious question, "Should I allow a teddy bear hive mind to become an intergalactic spy?"?*
*What would improv-Aizen do?*
*What happened to my life? Is this where I thought I'd be, what I'd be doing five years ago?*
*What does this fundamentally mean about omake culture on this quest, have I given players too much power and been lucky that no one has tried to exploit it in bad faith before now?*
*Is this why Teron quit? Did that bastard see this coming and leave me to take the fall?*
*I'll kill him, where does he live?*
*Am I overreacting?*

Yeah you're probably overreacting.

my apologies but i have died of laughter

fortunately the afterlife still has an internet connection so updates shall continue

also that is legitimately accurate barring the desire to murder the previous QM

Sorry guys, my bad.

Truth be told? If I just assume you're a human its a pretty easy to predict, the difficult bits are trying to figure out what order the questions would be asked in.

Dumb SV short alerts. I know for a fact that I've posted one word answers without triggering these.

...I don't

I uh...

I liked it. :(

Actually... what is the senate make up looking like now? The CNS systems still have senators but that has to be a powerful bloc in the senate, combine that with other senators that are anti-palpatine that have not joined the CNS can he even get further power grabbing measures through the senate?

Since I disagree with you, I can in fact say that you do not agree with everyone. :p

Anyway, it's no more silly than mecha.

Just to weigh in on this subject, I prefer Egonil over the Hut.
There seems to have been some effort to characterise Egonil beyond the meme inspiration and even disregarding that its a better telepathic trenchcoat teddy bears is a better meme that raww stronk Hutt.
As Dr Snark mentioned, there is canon precedence for this and sometimes Star Wars can be a very goofy universe.
Possibly more than any other character in this quest whether or not this character works is going to be based on if everyone freaks out about this all the time. If characters freak out about it all the time then it will keep forcing people out of their suspension of disbelief, however when people just acknowledge that theres weird shit in the galaxy and move on like Ciaran did then its much easier to deal with.
In other words Egonil works best when next to people who are utterly unphased by anyone and anything... for example, the Sentient Resources department that gave a force spectre a health plan.

Why does the CIS still exist? Do they even have a reason to fight anymore? All they wanted was lower taxes and not being treated like crap while being exploited by the Core worlds right? With the CNS' growing power and fair cooperation between member states CIS have no reason not to join CNS as a whole.

No one in the CIS actually wanted war. The Droid army as I understand it only existed as a deterrent for future bullying. It all erupted into war because of Palpatine playing both sides via Dooku which isn't possible any more.

TLDR: AFAIK there's no way that a "clone war" could ever break out because there's no incentive on either side for it. And there's no way that the Republic would ever be the aggressor with the current climate. It's political suicide.

I would like to point out that the Abyss Watchers as an organization does, in fact, have other categories of minions. The buff Hutt could just become the first defined character for our Guardians corps.

In fact, we should totally have specific names and categories for Guardians and Seekers who ascend beyond any standards much like Abysswalkers are to Agents.

Whereas Abysswalkers are our Lore/Force arm, Guardians/???? would be our Military and Seekers/XXXX would be our Intrigue.

Many of the corporate parts of the CIS, at least, are in it because the were upset that the Republic said "no, you aren't allowed to use de-facto slave labour, hold planetary populations hostage for favourable deals and generally shit all over the rule of law" and thought they could get away with open secession. The actual planetary governments are in it for a variety of reasons, ranging from the same ones as the corporate parts to the fact that the Republic's laws are so tangled and selectively enforced that they were being penalised for fighting off pirates and slavers where other systems either got off scot free for doing the same or got off scot free for being those pirates and slavers.

The CNS isn't willing to put up with the bullshit that the scummy bits of the CIS seceded to keep doing, the scummy and 'pure independence' bits of the CIS are quite happy to ignore the CNS as long as they get their independence from Coruscant and the Republic needs to defeat the CIS in its entirety to avoid setting the precedent that people can just walk away from it if they can gather a big enough power-base (which is technically futile since the CNS has essentially already done just that but Palpatine doesn't know that they definitely won't come back with him in charge, or alive, yet). Any concessions on a greater than planetary level, or even too many of those, will at this point destroy the current iteration of the Republic because it legitimises armed rebellion as a valid way to get concessions.

TL;DR The Republic needs to win unconditionally to avoid future disintegration, the CIS needs to put the Republic in a place where it can't win unconditionally and to do that further offensives from either side need to take place eventually. If When it does finally happen it'll probably be the Republic that does it, since the status quo of two de jure and four de facto galactic governments benefits everyone but them and actively erodes their legitimacy.
