Well, Ciaran helping Silencer get away was certainly a badass scene. That one would have to be in the hypothetical alternate clone wars series, right?

And so Alderaan (and all the other victims of Tarkin/the Death Star) was retroactively avenged...FUCK YOU TARKIN!!!

Hurray!!! The arsehole has been disgraced and imprisoned!!! Oh, Happy Days!

"Understood. I will contact the rest of the cabal so we can prepare our next move."
Why did you call it the cabal?
Are you trying to be the bad guys? It may as well be the cult.
But really, I'm sorry this took so long. Blame my muse - it's been wanting me to write the Maul interlude and wasn't really cooperating with me for this one, but I had to finish this one first. I had to. Mainly because the whole Maul thing is...well think about how many named characters are going to get together for that and you'll understand why it's going to be the second-to-last one.
At least we know the Maul update is incoming rapidly. :D

As amusing as that update was, I'm having a hard time figuring out a reason Palpatine wouldn't try to get Tarkin out. Something to keep an eye on I suppose.

Now we got to make sure Yularen is okay. Palpy will definitely try to target him and he is one of our best sources in the Republic army we have.

He pulled quite a risk doing this, at least we took care of two birds with one stone.

Why would he bother? The man's useless to him now; his only purpose was to be a predictable and controllable political figure, and now he can't do that.

On the other hand, my bad gut feeling is, on a Palpatine 'fear o' meter', we've juuust been increased by a notch, say. From "minor nusence", to some other visual 'chess piece move' at least, and smelling some 'Forced Luck' on the other side that was rigged just so, he had to sacrifiice a 'pawn', while thinking on 'well played, Ciaren'...

So in laymens terms, we've brutalized the war, and may by proxy; give Anakin an aneurysm or something involving "Auntie Ciaren" with children. But by that point, it'd be more of a 'headache call' for Palpatine/Sidious to start thinking, plotting and implementing "Anti-Ciaren" shenanigans/plots in action. Especially if he get's a feeling that we've become an 'obstacle' to... Eliminate, before he can then proceed with "Plan wipe out Jedi, build an Empire" from an Evil Overlord's checklist.

Which may by proxy, make him start to think 'oh boy, I lost Darth Maul... And now a Star Destroyer... it must be Ciaren.' Especially more so, if 'Dark Side Negaverse' player base Palpatine goes what? Over us snagging Galen, and sending Rogue One kids to our own little 'Spy Academy'. :p

EDIT: As for Yoda...

I'd say two things. One, some quote on "Hatred, blinds us to justice." Or something along those lines. And two, if Yoda ever scry's into Ciaren (most likely), he'd probably be seeing so much Grey, he can't make shift on if Ciaren is Dark? And certainly not light?

Which would likely be of most concern, for Master Yoda... Who is stuck between 'Grey Clouds, and Dark Storms' for future Forecasts, at this rate. :p

Definition of Cabal: a group of people united in some close design together, usually to promote their private views or interests in an ideology, state, or other community, often by intrigue, usually unbeknown to persons outside their group. The use of this term usually carries strong connotations of shadowy corners, back rooms and insidious influence.

That accurately describes our supporters within the institutions within the Galactic Republic. We are the blacked out shadowy holos who gives orders and guides the direction of events with an invisible hand. We would be the bad guys, those Guilded Age bigwigs who take advantage of a corrupt system to advance their agenda, except we're up against Darth Sidious who's end goal would be way worse than whatever we could do.

Now we got to make sure Yularen is okay. Palpy will definitely try to target him and he is one of our best sources in the Republic army we have.

Yularen was a Member of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence and had a reputation of stepping on the toes of very important people in the name of combatting corruption. While a bit more vocal than usual it's not completely out of character for him interrupt Tarkin and Palpatine's plan.

I didn't say it wasn't accurate I said it sounds evil.
Why would we want to sound evil?

I love how the Silencer was used, by having him pass as a Clone. Well, TECHNICALY he is one... just a Super-Prototype with a different donor, but still. Still hilarious to have him do infiltration without blowing up everything (again).

Tarkin did his level best to kill a widely-grinning Raith Sienar with a glare alone as he sat on the other side of a window from him. "That mongrel of a woman was behind this, wasn't she!?" Tarkin growled out. "When I get out of here-"

"Ah, but you won't," Raith retorted as he leaned back with a vicious smirk on his face. "You should know better than to underestimate me, Wilhuff. I've made a few arrangements to ensure that you will have a comfortable stay here for the next decade.
Hmm, but what if he did escape? Or rather, what if we helped him 'escape'?

An old trick of the Irish Mafia; when they killed someone, they would cut off a hand and preserve it. Later, they would use it to leave finger prints at crime scenes, confusing the evidence and muddling the investigation. The cops would search for a suspect that was already months dead.

If Tarkin was broken out of jail by 'humanocentrist extremists' and still at large ... why, someone could do all kinds of things in his name.

A 'terrorist organisation' led by a disgraced former Admiral could do all kinds of damage. Even more, having such a group act in support of certain New Order elements could tar their reputation.

Ooh, that gave me an idea, Tarkin 'escapes' we extract all the information we want from him, kill him, clone him and wrap said clone around a droid akin to Priam's design or similar like a T-800 Terminator and use him as a pet terrorist to undermine his cause.

All the fun of what you mentioned plus some extra modularity via technological brilliance, plus it's a pretty 'Illuminati' thing to do.

I think this is a suitable song for what I am feeling about this update

Oh most certainly, probably framed by having the episode cut between the senate debate and the Silencer's infiltration. Only with the audience not being aware that it is the Silencer in the armor or that Ciaran is directly involved until the end. I'd probably have a couple episodes earlier in the season feature Raith Sienar as a means to set up the ending scene here and it'd not reveal who the one who Force Choked the Special Ops trooper until after Yularen ruined Tarkin.

Our new trait for silencer:
Registered GAR Trooper: Thanks to Yularen pulling some strings and modifying some records, the Silencer is now an officially registered "clone" trooper in the GAR designated CT-3854/9790. This gives him considerably more flexibility in infiltrating Republic installations since he can now simply walk in the front door. +3 Intrigue
