''Don't spoil''
Droidekas in attack mode and Koliya currently in Beast Mode.
(Droidekas can add +10 to either their attack or defense rolls)
(Koliya has the option to gain an extra +10 to attack while sacrificing 10 to counterattack rolls as he closes in for close combat.)

Right, one last detail I nearly forgot to mention - a Kaleesh squad is getting an extra +10 since Jymeen is going on a joyride in the Equus.
Right then. Let the rolling commence!

DC is 55 for hitting to droids.

----WELCOME TO DECK 12---

Alright alright alright. Now then. Floor 12 is gonna be...special.
Now then. We're going to be doing things a bit weird, because there's only gonna be one super-enemy on this floor.
So here's how this is going to work. Since it's going to be in the Standard Boss Arena not everyone's going to fit in. BUT it's not going to require as many hits as usual given it's just the one thing.
So. I need 10 units to represent for the final battle.
...
...
Right then. As operational commander, Thrawn will be giving EVERYONE a +10 to their rolls, Hero and regular unit alike.
Squad : Grievous, HK-47, Squad Jymeen, The Spider Droid Hive, The Abysswalkers, and a squad of loyal Kaleesh.
...
...
So for those of you thinking that it's a berserk HK...you're PARTLY right. Except uh...he's a bit bigger.
And really, he's not really one unit so much as being made up of scrap metal fused together.
...
...
Since I've created this Final Boss on the fly, let's see...does 25 hits sound reasonable?
Yeah, 20 seems more fair.
20 HP it is!

The universe refuses to let anyone but HK get the kill.

Tremendously useful for omake writing.

EDIT: Also, Riphath throwing Death Flags? I have no idea what you're talking about.

I certainly didn't have a backup plan for him to 'retire' to Tython if he was injured to the point that fixing him would be impractically expensive. *deletes file* Certainly not. "Come Back Alive" definitely wasn't a set-up to maximize emotional impact of potential bad dice.

EDIT THE SECOND: I can't submit an omake in compliance with the no-spoiler policy before the update goes up. So that's a thing.

As your QM, trust me when I say that I've seen enough [insert media here] to know my Death Flags. And I agree that Rip has been setting up a loooooot of them. It's okay though - the Palpatine assassination is guaranteed to have a much higher death rate of both soldiers and named characters.

Nonsense. As it's the end of the quest you'll be forced by peer pressure to remove the limits on stacking omake bonuses since there's nothing afterwards to use them on.

And since, at the current rate, we'll have several thousand bonuses stored up, we'll win quite easily.

Just make sure Riphath doesn't try to cut his hair with a lightsaber. Last time someone tried it, it didn't turn out so good.

Can we not tempt fate?

Rip has been setting up a loooooot of them.
So I decided to look up common death flags. I swear it's like a checklist of Things Riphath Has Done.

1) Cough up blood
Survived fighting the mumuu. Mostly because he had a trauma surgeon with him who could fix his hemothorax that otherwise probably would have killed him.
2) Biting off more than you can chew
Big guy in the warehouse who probably would have killed him if the guy hadn't gotten sniped at just the right time. Mumuu fight, as above. Heck, even sparring with Darra could count despite the intended non-lethal nature.
3) Learning a major secret while not the main character
Um. He works for a spy organization. That happens on a fairly regular basis. The Sid Vicious Conspiracy
4) Starting out scared and fearful and trying to be brave
Story of his life.
5) Talking about retirement
All the time. But he can't, because he thinks Ciaran would drag him back in.
6) Loyalty unto death
(Enforced) -- he can't quit the Watchers because he'd get dragged back in.
7) Introspection
Sometimes I do this when it's been a bit and I'm looking for his voice.
8) Getting replaced by a younger character
Jymeen was flying the Equus this time. Also, I write him as a little older than most because he logically has to be older to have gone through that much school, so most characters are going to end up being younger.

I imagine there are probably examples of characters who eat death flags for breakfast. Maybe Riphath ends up being one of them. Maybe he's just advantaged in the cheating-death department.

rip is super fucked, he probly realizes this, he has been trying the entire time in the foundery to not take risks or get shot, that why he was sucking so much.

Possible he may have subconsciously known and went all-in on the Reaper symbolism: "They can't find me if I look like one of them."

Rip is probably going to retire, go home, get married, have a kid, and his kid will be Rip Hunter and develop time travel, leading to a second fight with palpatine down the line as we have to deal with fighting him across time and space, in the process Ciaran will become her own ancestor, completing a timeloop she didn't know existed.

Okay, glance wise (and trying to avoid the 'NO SPOILERS' policy...)
Now...will we be getting more data packets explaining what the hell happened in the Foundry?
... Eh, off the top of my head, we're probably going to get something 'special', of the seat of our pants, probably? But SPOILER rolls wise, dunno how they'd be read, except something something hypetrain likely.
Isn't the Foundry sort of a backup plan if things with Palpatine goes tits up, then we go all 'galaxy conquering super droid army.'
If that ever happens (and we have the Foundry), there is but one request...

Go full YoRHa on Palpatine's ass. :p

But that aside, moment we go full YoRHa on Palpatine, it should ideally be treated worst case scenario, as a tactical last 'fuck you' to Palpatine, if shit hits the fan on assassination (long term.) Ideally, it'd be a case of 'Corsequent got burnt, but Palpatine is dead, YAY!'...

... May lead to Jedi going in full panic mode if there's survivors in the aftermath, but hey. Anything that see's Palpatine dead at the end of a looming nasty surprise, is AOK. And hey, it might even be a good contingency measure if nurtured right...

-

And PS: For those who want to add 'can construct Kanmasu Ships' on top of the Foundry, if I where a 'sure, why not?' GM...

It's likely going to cost as much as a mega-project to expand, probably. And it'd be trying to expand on what's already 'perfect', that can be better spent making more YoRHa Drones like a mass production of HK-47's. :p

Question: What common death flags has Riphath NOT done that he could reasonably manage in the rest of the quest? I'm just curious to see how many of these things are possible so I can stack so many death flags it wraps around to a negative value for maximum "How Are You Still Alive?" comedy potential.

I don't see them as deathflags. Those are for stories that are set in stone, but this is a randomized story. If anything he may outlive us...

Has he announced he's going to retire in a couple of days, and has purchased some prime farming real estate on Dantooine?

Well, he's presuming that would only be allowed after finishing Sidious. Also, can you actually announce a retirement from a spy organization like this, or do you kinda just notify head spymaster and then duck out the back?
