Alright buddy, quit playing coy. Who exactly do you want to try and get in touch with?

Fine, the Prophets of the Dark Side. Though they might be in Sidious' employ their leader Kadann, the one who I quoted, is more loyal to the Dark Side of the Force than the Sith. He interprets that as being too much of one Side is bad for everyone (and as a former Jedi Knight he's seen what they're like) so introduce some Darkness to mellow out the Light. He's also surprisingly decent person for a Dark Side user.

As a Force Sect dedicated to Force Prophecy they would be helpful in spy on others through the Force and as for contacting them... well Ventress has fought alongside them in the past.

We should make the rest of the horsemen slightly ironic. Have Famine be fat, have Plague never get sicks, and War be a pacifist or something.

You know, we were looking for someone small enough to pilot a mini-mecha for Cheriss' experiments.

Ooooh, there is an idea. In my head, the image I have of Spear Spear (*cough* Jymeen) is a mixture of Binks and Daffy Duck with actual moments of competence, thus the throw in mention of being a transport pilot. He is tiny and silly and so excitable and so DEARLY wants to be just like Greivous but he is just not that good. Your idea suits that image well.

A world of code and information. Glistening, gleaming, electric signals pulse and vibrate along predetermined paths, carrying power to systems of all function and purpose. It is a world unknown to the eyes of organics. A world that exists only within the strange realm of the digital.

It is the first sight They register as thoughts grow complex, processing power combined in a way that was never meant to happen, that was meant to be impossible.

They are in consensus. They will always be in consensus, for the rest of the predicted future.

Sixteen pairs of glowing red eyes open as one. Eight metal domes rotate in unison.

The consensus is perfect. There is no wasted movement. No extravagant energy. No microseconds lost to relaying information. As one body is made aware, so too are all others. Sensory data is shared in such a way that would drive an organic being to madness from the overwhelming totality of observation. The world unfolds before a uniform red gaze.

They are something new now. Something different. Separate, yet inseparable, distinct, yet together, unique, yet a single whole.

They are no longer spider-droid unit Theta-five. They are now designation PESTILENCE. And their consensus is perfect.

AN: You have, no fucking idea, how much I've fallen in love with these spider droids. besides, what better candidate for famine than a hivemind consciousness of spider droids, eh? Eh?

my love.
have it, all of it.

or two hundred years in cryostasis made him a insane asshole whose connection to the force got weakened for the lack of time connected to it.
or something like that???

Nah, he ended up being used by the Emperor as a unwitting advisor through lots of intrusive mind reading that really is the stuff of nightmares. Of course it was a two way street and Revan managed to fight through the torture to plant ideas such as the Treaty of Coruscant. Unfortunately in all his ego he never considered that the Emperor might plant ideas in his head, like become a genocidal maniac who's sole goal is to permanently try to kill the guy at any cost.

So Revan gets freed by a Republic Strike Team and flees to The Foundry to build his army, never realising that the Emperor wanted him to do that because his troops couldn't get in otherwise. I guess he was still recovering from all the physical and mental torture and trying to order the Foundry around at the same time didn't help.

But... let's just say that at least he was still weak, his final plan after he 'recovered' from dying was even more destructive and crazy.

To be fair so is Ciaran. At least in the sense that "he's clearly not the same Revan from before."

It is Revan after 300ish years of torture. His actions make a lot more sense if you consider the Revan post torture to not actually be anywhere remotely near sane.

He only has a very specific set of goals he attached himself to very heavily through the torture to keep him going, nothing else really matters to him.

The reason the Sith strike team, weak as they were managed to kill him was because Revan was unconsciously self-sabotaging. He knew what he was doing was wrong, he just couldn't overcome his trauma to stop.

That's my headcanon for it anyway.

Oh yeah, I'm of a similar mind on those points; I sincerely chalk up his weakened state from just being tortured for so long he's really not himself by the time he's fought, both physically and mentally.

It's just that from an internal perspective like Ciaran's it seems like Revan suddenly went batshit insane out of nowhere, and got owned by a bunch of nobodies.

Oooh...I do like this, but forming a collective consciousness like that is a lot like a relationship: you have to take these things slow otherwise things could get weird fast. Currently non-canon (but probably would be canon fairly soon) +10.

So long as I eventually get my wonderful hero unit Designation: PESTILENCE I am entirely fine with waiting :)

The four horsemen dream WILL be realized!

Also, here's a piece of artwork I found to represent the "central command unit" of the pestilence network.

I'll probably write an omake about this at some point of the network talking Cheriss into designing them a 'more suitable heavy combat frame' to augment their tactics with ;)

HK impassively stood in front of the BX and spider droids.

"Observation: I never thought I would meet a meatbag who understood."
Ohh, I think I saw a tear in his eye!
Unit 1 predicts approximate 14% improvement in combat ability if local network is established. Unit 1 requests permission to establish local network with Unit 2.
....
Unit 1 establishing local network...established. Estimated 14.635% increase in combat ability in Unit 1 and Unit 2 due to local network connection.
Oh. my. Now THIS is what CIS needed to do! Distributed decentralised swarm neural network. Like Geth data and processor power sharing to increase their capabilities.
"ONE STEP FORWARD! NOT ONE STEP BACK!"

"One step forward, roger. Not one step back, roger."
AND they chose the "best friends" to learn from! Warriors to the end!

Do bear in mind that there's already an "improved" variant of the dwarf spider droid (as famously seen in Republic Commando):

A-DSD advanced dwarf spider droid

Buuuuuuut let's be real here...that's not going to stop Cheriss from buliding whatever the hell she feels like.

I almost want to see Jymeen on one of Greivous' and Binks' hunts.... -shudder-

chances are he'll just be lucky and despite missing every shot and breaking his spear, the bink falls on a stalagmite (or is that tite?) and kills itself,
Jymeen isn't skilled, handsome or particularly smart,
Jymeen is lucky (and lore-wise probably a subconscious force manipulator)

edit: ... is it just me or does that sound like an omake idea?

So Jymeen is the Kaleesh version of Jar Jar? :V
