Question for all,
I was wondering but what would happen if Palpatine suddenly decided to execute order 66? Let say that he was able to find an excuse to execute the order? I was curious because the order will almost certainly kill large numbers of Jedi as well as destroy the Jedi Temple. But a lot of Jedi will survive the purge such as Jedi in dechipped units. Not to mention that all the younglings were already evacuated the Tython?

well thats why he wouldnt execute the order now would he? also yeah the dechiped clones make for more jedis in general.
also awesome force wookies. best force wookies..... a force wookie with the super strength..........awesome.

I did that by glitching the X-Box way back in the day :V
So did I. Guardian, of course, because there is nothing more hilarious and terrifying than a Wookiee leaping straight at something out of nowhere.

As a side note, a brief search for "what happens when someone gets promoted to Walker" other than they get a lightsaber failed me. Anybody have something more than that?

I know Riphath still needs to pick up Buried Presence, so that's what I'm angling towards next.

Basically they get a "congratulations for being the best and stuff you will be expected to do more difficult stuff and blah blah blah" speech from Ciaran with Tyro and Vectivus flanking her, and are given time to put together their own customized lightsaber with the Home's workshops.

I never mentioned if they'd get cooler robes/armor but come on, it makes perfect sense that the Abysswalkers would get the coolest outfits.

Meaning going to the Home. Which is going to blow Riphath's mind.

Also...is it required to be just one lightsaber? The telekinetic handling of multiple deadly items at a time required by Blazing Chains may have given him an idea or two along certain lines.

No, but I would point out that trying to telekinetically handle multiple lightsabers at once in a serious fight would require insane amounts of practice and mental fortitude. Kreia was able to do it but she has the excuse of being one of the best Force users ever to live.

The 'and blah blah blah' is said verbatim and is the most important part of the speech she gives. Clear.y

Not to mention that lightsabers are not light things you can carry with one hand. Lightsabers are actually very heavy and difficult to weld as a sword. One should think of lightsabers as sort of like welding heavy longswords except they are swords made from currents of contained plasma.

And now I get an image of a ridiculously specialized force user who only uses TK'd lightsabers... and each one of them using a different Form.

This.... does not feel accurate. Do you have a citation, perhaps?

You do realize that plasma is just gas that is either heated to a ridiculous degree or subjected to a electromagnetic force, right?
Of course, this is Star Wars, so RL physics don't apply here. Still, I'm pretty sure plasma is very light.

(Omake) Agent Piebald (Canon)
Omake: Agent Piebald

Sergeant Clive was not happy. Sure he was getting a first hand look at how general Grievous did things. Sure he was being allowed to give his team all the good stuff that was usually not allowed as it was either too powerful or massively illegal to use. (or in some cases even to know about.) Sure he had some of the best (if quirky) back up this side of the core worlds. Everyone else was all fired up and having a blast but not sergeant Clive he was having a different type of blast as he had to deal with Agent Piebald.

To be fair Agent Piebald rarely if ever failed his mission. That said other agents don't have a fixation on explosives to the level that their sergeants have to search them before every mission to make sure the agents aren't carrying enough restricted volatiles to level the surrounding countryside.

Clive had done his best but it seemed Piebald had somehow managed to pull a surprise on him each and every level.

On the first level it became apparent that Piebald had gotten his hands on a ancient paintball gun of all things, hidden it inside the normal issue blaster casing while replacing the paintballs with a high explosive of an unknown variety.

On the second level Clive discovered that the pack of chewing gum Piebald carries around with him everywhere does not in fact contain chewing gum. Instead it contains multiple wafer thin strips of pressure triggered high explosives. While useful in opening the locked and sealed doors on this level, Clive could not help but remember Piebald offering him a piece of gum before the mission started.

The third level lost clive a week's pay in the team betting pool as Piebald proved that he had actually been taking lessons in the Blazing Chains force techniques. (Clive had bet on Piebald using it as an excuse to sneak down to the armory to tinker with the grenades.) He did this placing a single explosive paintball into the back of the neck joint of every single droid in the squad that tried to catch them in a pincer maneuver. The aforementioned droids also happened to be at the far end of a long corridor and were facing him at the time of their demise.

On level four Clive found proof that Piebald had doctored his grenades while Clive were not looking as there was no was a single grenade is supposed to be able to clear an entire storeroom of droids on its own. Clive did not care what Phil says about secondary explosions from the droids power packs, Clive knows what he saw, it was all Piebald's fault.

Level five saw Clive's team ambushed. Level five showed Clive that Piebald carries throwing knives. Level five proved that Piebald either has blackmail material on Sovium's Rush-box or is much better at tinkering then it says in his file. That is because Piebald's throwing knives have micro grenades embedded in the handles.

Five minutes into level six Piebald went missing. Fifteen minutes into level six Piebald was found hip deep in smoking droid parts. Clive decided that the explanation for that could wait until the after action report. Oh and Piebald claimed to be out of munitions and finally accepted a unmodified side arm but was too happy for that claim to be true.

On level seven Piebald proved he did not need explosives to cause explosions. All Piebald needs is some ball bearings (taken from the last levels droids), his canteen (Need to check what he keeps in there before missions as there is no way that was caused by water), and a trigger, in this case a blast from his side arm. Said explosion is the reason that hallway D60i-09P is unusable until repaired (either by the factory itself or repair crews) as well as the cause of the persistent smell of acidic smoke on floor seven.

Once again sergeant Clive is not happy. Sergeant Clive now requests the scheduling of counseling sessions for sergeant Clive as well as sedatives once he returns to the ship (no way was he taking anything the on site medic gives him as he believes that the General's medic is actually Death despite what the records say.)

--Transmission from Sergeant Clive to Operation control at the end of day one of operation "Foundry Raid Night"--

AN. I wrote this as there is no way we would end up with a potential Abysswalker that is anywhere near normal (or sane) and that must be stressful on anyone who is supposed to be in charge of said potential. Pity poor Clive he has lasted the longest with Piebald.

Um, prince? You first were in 3rd person POV, than chanced to 2nd person POV starting here:

Thank you. I have a bad habit of doing that in my writing.
No problem. Now if you would excuse me, I'm about to go on a rant.
It is not the actual weight of the blade but the force of the currents.

:jackiechan:THE FORCE OF THE FUCKING CURRENTS?!?!
Ok, listen, I'm not blaming you newwriter. You were able to back your claim with evidence. Evidence that is actually part of a Star Wars series. Still, can you agree with me about HOW FUCKING IDIOTIC THAT IS?!
If the blade is heavy not be cause of the plasma, BUT BECAUSE OF HOW THEY MOVE, isn't at a bit, well, illogical?
Yes, I know this is Star Wars, but no matter how much sci-fi science or force bullshittery you apply, STUFF DOESN'T JUST GET HEAVYER JUST BY HAVING ITS INSIDES MOVE AROUND.
By that logic, a pipe that is already filled with water should get heavier when water begins to flow, YET IT DOESN'T.

Sorry, had to point that out, and sorry for making some of the works in caps lock.

(Omake) Small Improvements (Canon)
Small Improvements

"Ugh. I knew there was a reason I'm an engineer and not a general." groaned Cheriss letting her body's head drop onto the desk.

"Did… did you read all of these?" asked Galvin, staring in horror at the massive stack of books piled up around his girlfriend.

"Yes. According to Thrawn, this should be enough to give me a grasp of basic military tactics so I can program these droids more effectively, but I have no idea what these people are on about!" she picked up on of the lighter texts and gave it a thump. "And when it's not using ridiculous vocabulary, it's all conceptual stuff that I have no idea how to program into a battle droid."

"What do you mean?" asked Galvin.

"Like, how am I supposed to impart the importance of utilizing momentum on the battlefield into a spider droid?" Cheriss tossed the book across the room into a chair in exasperation. "What would a spider droid even do with advanced military tactics?"

"Probably fight better, but I'm no engineer, programmer, or tactician. So what do I know?" Galvin shrugged his shoulders.

"Not much about programming combat routines, unfortunately." chuckled Cheriss. "There has got to be an easier way of doing this."

"What about making a program to make the programs for you?" suggested Galvin. "Again, not a programmer, but that's my two cents."

"I wish it were that simple. You can totally make programs that program other programs, but you need to give it precise instructions on how to make them. It can code a lot of stuff, but not new stuff." Cheriss massaged her temples and let out a small groan. "So that leaves it up to me to convert advanced combat tactics into code."

"Why bother stuffing all that info in from the start? I learned all my combat skills from experience. Just let 'em learn." said Galvin. "I might not know how to make one, but I know self-correcting programs are a thing."

"Yeah, for minor adjustments to simple tasks. No one's attached a self-correction program to something as complex as combat and strategy routines." said Cheriss, grinning slightly at the absurdity.

"Ah. No one's done it yet." said Galivn, pointing triumphantly at the Shard engineer. "If anyone can figure out how, it'll be you."

"Why the hell not? Even if it's a complete failure, at least it'll be more interesting than all this dry reading." she said, looking wearily at the piles of books littering her desk.

"That a girl." Galvin patted Cheriss on the shoulder. "I'm going to catch some sleep. See you in the morning."

"Yup, see ya." Cheriss replied, giving a brief wave before returning to her work.

XXX

"So did that self-improvement thing work out?" asked Galvin, setting a cup of hot coffee down on the desk as he approached from behind Cheriss.

"Better than expected all things considered." Cheriss took a long drag from the cup. "Thanks I really needed this."

"Figured you could use a little kick after working all night." shrugged Galvin, as if it were no big deal. "So does better than expected mean the program works?"

"No idea. That's the problem with making a program that learns from experience. Until we actually deploy those spider droids, they won't have the opportunity to learn anything. I can confirm they don't crash and shut down when shooting targets though, so that's a plus."

"Any danger of them achieving sentience and revolting against their attractive master?" joked Galvin.

Cheriss laughed. "They won't learn anything until they're in a fight, at which point they're supposed to be expendable, since we can just build more. They're sturdy enough, so they'll probably hang around long enough to learn a trick or two before they kick the bucket."

Galvin snapped his fingers. "Darn. It's been a while since I've had to put down a robot uprising."

"Sorry to disappoint. But even if one of these little guys learned enough to equal Thrawn, their primary directives are hard coded in. Anyone tries to mess with it, the whole droid shuts down. Not ideal if someone tries to hack our droids in the middle of combat, but preferable to them succeeding and having the droids turn on us."

"So better than a spider droid fresh off the shelf, but nothing game changing then?" asked Galvin.

"Pretty much. We'll have to see how they handle in the Foundry though." Cheriss sighed. "No test like a field test, I suppose. Just once I'd like to have enough time to stress test something in the lab."

"I'm sure they'll do fine." Galvin smirked. "After all, I hear some kind of super genius designed their code."

Cheriss giggled, then raised her coffee cup in a mock toast. "To super geniuses who make slightly better spider droids."

"I'll drink to that."

"You'll drink to anything."

"…Fair enough."

AN: Cheriss planned for the self-improvement of the spider droids. She did not account for them collaborating to form a hive mind and self-improve at exponential rates.
