Oracle Meeting Room
Ciaran looked at Silas, Gulan, a holoprojection of Borvo, and an image of Wat in a windowless room in turn with a vicious smirk on her face. "Gentlemen, we are gathered here today to decide the fate of Wat Tambor. Please give me your suggestions as to how we should profit from capturing him."
"Given how much he hates us," Gulan said with an equally big grin, "I say we hand him over to those prisoners that busted out of the Eternal City. I hear quite a few of them have quite the grudge against our man Tambor, and if we play our cards right we can set one of 'em up as a new TU representative that would be more willing to work with us."
"Now hold on a sec," Silas interjected, "let's not lose track of who we've got here. This is a big-name Sep leader we got here. Meaning that he's probably got dozens of bounties across the galaxy by people that the Techno Union have rolled over. I'm sure that we could make a killing off of his corpse without throwing it to the Eternal City folks."
"Killjoy," Gulan muttered, though it wasn't malicious at all.
"Are we sure that we have no other uses for him aside from killing him?" Borvo said over the comms. "He is a high-ranking member of the Separatists, surely we can do something with that."
"Thing is I don't know what," Ciaran said as she leaned back in her chair, folding her hands behind her head. "We got all the tech from the TU we could have wanted during the Silencer's raid, there's no way in hell I'd trust him if we let him go, even if we put explosive nanodroids in him to keep him in line or something. His intellect is useless to me, Cheriss or Fry could easily outpace him on that front."
"The Gurlanin."
Everyone looked towards Gulan, whose eyes were rapidly widening. "It might work. Maybe. Maybe. If we can get one of them trained well enough to mimic Tambor..."
"Dooku would find out sooner or later," Ciaran noted, though it was clear that she was seriously considering the thought. "But having a Gurlanin act as Tambor for even a few days could be incredibly valuable so long as they avoided Dooku during that time."
"Speaking of which, please tell me you're not actually considering that dinner offer Ciara," Silas said worriedly. "It's clearly a trap."
"Why do you think I've got so many Watcher teams on and around Serenno right now?" Ciaran replied. "But we're getting off track. We need to decide two things: what we're going to do with Wat, and whether or not we're risking a Gurlanin infiltrator taking his place for a period of time." She leaned back, thinking about her options...
[] Wat's Fate:
-[] Hand him over to some of the Eternal City escapees, odds are they'd be happy to have custody of him and could use him to get leverage over the TU as a whole.
-[] Kill him and collect the myriad bounties that are no doubt on his head.
-[] Write-in (Is there some other option that you haven't considered?)
[] Gurlanin Impersonator Is Go?
-[] Yes. Getting someone to impersonate Wat for even a few days could be invaluable. Who knows where you could get them? (Naturally you'd hold off on dealing with Wat until after they're finished with their mission)
-[] No. Dooku would probably pick them up and the consequences of that would be very bad.
AN: I realized "Captive Audience" isn't exactly an indicative title here but fuck it I committed to my name.
So anyway, Wat Tambor. Honestly...there's no way in hell Ciaran would consider hiring him on given the fact that he's so loyal to the Seps and well, that he was beaten up and thrown in a cell. People tend to hold grudges when you do that. So...what's Wat's fate gonna be, guys?
