Maybe not, but we could also work out how a Light saber is so good at repelling it. It's just magnetically contained plasma (that is somehow emitted by a freaking crystal of all things ). Hmm. Is the Dark Side magnetic? It could explain the attraction many Force users seem to have for it. And all the cybernetics every other Sith seems to use.

It's the crystal.

Each crystal is attuned to the force and the Jedi or Sith who wields it. The Plasma blade which is generated by the crystal likely takes on some aspects of the force itself as a consequence. Not enough to do anything massive, but just enough to be able to deflect force attacks.

One could argue that since the crystals are in many ways a conduit, A lightsaber is powered by the force and the will of it's wielder.

What, then, stops us from creating Cortosis power-armor, and using attuned Kyber Crystals to power it? It'd be expensive as all hell, but it'll also probably be the best armor in the galaxy barring that weird Quantum stuff the Star Breaker was made off. Throw in some Beskar alloy, and out Elite will be pretty goddamn elite.

Cortosis is brittle, it's a known flaw, so against any non lightsaber/blaster type, it's useless. As well as that, despite Cortosis causing a lightsaber to short out on impact, multiple impacts will still breach through. So it's lightsaber and blaster resistant, not proof. The beskar alloy would likely make it extremely resistant to blasters, but would come at a weakness to anyone with shatterpoint and would likely lead to the cortosis weakening it due to how brittle it is.

Combined with the fact that Cortosis isn't exactly healthy to be around? And it's not the super weapon you think it is.

I mean, it's a bit like wearing a source of radiation close to your skin.

The brittleness is why I suggested the beskar in the first place, and as for weakening....they don't have to be mixed together in an alloy you know? It's pretty common with a lot of metallurgy to have different layers to deal with shock absorbtion, while retaining hardness. And no, I don't think it's a super weapon. But it would be better than pretty much any other personal armor in the Galaxy. Big anti-troop weapons would still punch through of course, but we don't send our elites into the open battlefield anyway. In term of sheer One v. One combat, it'd be pretty OP, especially when you consider how nearly all Watcher missions are covert and take our enemies by surprise. I think even Palpatine would be annoyed by skilled enough mooks. Not truly stopped, but definitely inconvenienced. He can't use his go to of Lightning, or Saber, so he's got to use telekinesis and shatter point ( if he has that, I'm not sure). Both of them take longer, or take more actual concentration on his part, meaning swarm tactics and distractions are that much more effective. But Palpatine is the high end of things. Regular force sensitives would be at a significant disadvantage, especially if the agents in question could neutralize some of the obvious insta-ganks, like telekenesis and Force Grip. And while there are still other very exotic techniques out there...they all rely on extensive and specialized setup, and usually a good amount of knowledge on whose being targeted. Our Watchers however, specialize in stealth and infiltration...

About alloys with Beskar, IIRC Beskar was almost indestructible and heavy (much less heavy than you would expect, but still heavy), but Beskar´s ore needed a lot of complex metallurgical processes to become that almost indestructible metal. Those processes made the Beskar VERY expensive, and make almost impossible to make any alloy with it.

Phirik, on the other hand, is not as absurdly indestructible as Beskar, but it is much lighter and make alloys with it was easy, but it was EXPENSIVE AS FUCK.

Never said it wouldn't be, but to enhance individual elites? Worth it. We wouldn't be armoring all the grunts in that any time soon. That said, for Beskar a lot of the cost should be mitigated. Part of the reason it's so expensive is it's rarity, and the difficulty/secrecy involved in it's refining....and the Mandolorians kinda monopolize both. Satine probably wouldn't approve, but I think Jango would, especially since he'd likely be going on ops with them.

The hell are you talking about? It's only dangerous in the ground. Once it's been mined and refined it's safe enough to use in cybernetic implants.

I let my knowledge of how reality works get in the way of how the fictional setting works.

Edit: To the people suggesting that they wear a cortosis armor and a Beskar one?

That's not viable, as the force hitting the Beskar would impact the cortosis powered suit and shatter it, sending fragments at the person.

There are other options for a lesser protection that lowers the brittle problem, in using a Cortosis alloy, or just not a proper suit of Cortosis armour, but that weakens the ability to absorb shots and increases expense.

A Cortosis/Beskar alloy has a higher fragility to direct impacts, but logic would imply that it would be near invulnerable to blasters and lightsabers. So a trade off then.

Edit Again: Basically invulnerable to pretty much everything other than Shockwaves from explosives that are used in Star Wars war, suicide in a car/shuttle crash.

Another thing about beskar is that the methods of how to process and treat it are Mandalorian trade secrets. We'll have to ask Jango for help.

Interlude - Pale Moonlight
The Home

In the very heart of Vectivus' Home, the mansion that gave the asteroid its name, Ciaran stood in front of a nonplussed Asajj and an impassive Vectivus as she glanced between the two of them. "Alright, so maybe I've been putting off building a lightsaber for a while-"

"Too long," Asajj flatly said.

"Far too long," Vectivus agreed.

In response, Ciaran sighed and shook her head. "Honestly, my lightfoil's proven to be effective enough that I haven't really needed a lightsaber," she said, drawing it out and igniting it, giving it a few experimental swings. "I used this against a lightsaber-wielding opponent actively trying to kill me and it's been just as effective." She then shut it off, and set the blade down as neither Asajj or Vectivus seemed to register it.

"It's serviceable," Asajj commented, "but there is no comparison to a true lightsaber."

"Indeed. While you might mock the Jedi's saying that a lightsaber is 'an elegant weapon for a civilized age,' they do have a point," Vectivus commented. "There is no equivalent to a lightsaber, let alone one built by your own hands."

"He is right," Asajj said as she drew her own sabers though did not ignite them. "While I did not build these myself, they are far more effective in my hands than your lightfoil would be. Look at how the hilts are curved, letting them fit into my hands better and giving me greater control over them as I fight."

"Yes, yes, they're very impressive," Ciaran said exasperatedly before a more serious expression came across her face. "But enough gushing about how great these are. You both obviously have more experience building these, so how do you do it?"

"Under normal circumstances it would be constructed at the end of your training whether you were Jedi or Sith, but as we all know you are hardly a conventional Force user. But that is beside the point. What you need is..."

For the next few moments, Vectivus launched into a lecture on what he said was the proper way to build a lightsaber, ensuring that Ciaran understood to the most minute detail what a lightsaber should be made up of. Ciaran managed to make it through a decent amount of Vectivus' descriptions before losing patience and interrupting him. "Not to be rude, but why exactly do I need to know the precise details about putting a lightsaber together? Isn't it built by something like mechu-deru instead, where it's more being guided by the Force than actual engineering?"

"To an extent; most of the parts are either built under supervision or given to a prospective student, but that tends to result in a traditional straight hilt design which would not compliment your Form II-based fighting style." Vecticus gestured towards Asajj as he continued. "The two of us are going to help you design a saber that will suit you the best."

"To be clear, we are not going to help you any more than necessary," Asajj commented. "You will design it yourself from the ground up once Vecitvus is finished with his explanations. We will suggest improvements or point out flaws, but that's all."

"In case you're worried, naturally you'll have access to the relevant information in the Home's databanks once I'm finished. Now then, to continue-"

----------

For the next few hours and days, Ciaran was hard at work, trying to design the lightsaber that she would be using in place of her lightfoil. Unfortunately for Ciaran it was a difficult and frustrating process; she'd be the first to admit that engineering wasn't a specialty of hers, and she had been going through quite a number of iterations that usually Vectivus had some issue with, though Asajj remarked on the occasional flaw as well. She went through design after design after design, and while her "supervisors" had less criticisms each time she still felt like she was hitting a wall that she just couldn't get past. After a design Ciaran was fairly confident would meet Asajj and Vectivus' standards was rejected, she resolved herself to not sleep until she could finally put together an ideal lightsaber.

Over the course of a day, Ciaran went into a fugue state, sealing herself inside a workshop and continuously creating and improving designs without end. Time seemed to run together as she would build up a design only to scrap it and start over with another one. She only left the room once, and that was to retrieve the 'Mantle of the Force' crystal she had recovered from Lehon.

Once she reentered the room anyone passing by would have noticed that it had gone eerily silent all of a sudden, save for a few bursts of noise...

---------

"I cannot help but feel that this may not have been the wisest idea," Vectivus said as he followed Asajj towards Ciaran's claimed workshop. "I would have considered her last few designs to be perfectly satisfactory by my standards."

"If there is one thing in this galaxy that will encourage Ciaran to go above and beyond, it is someone telling her that she isn't good enough at something," Asajj replied as a slightly vicious smirk appeared on her face. "Tell her she is incapable of doing something - such as building a proper lightsaber for instance - and she will do everything in her power to prove whoever said that wrong."

"You're enjoying this, aren't you."

"Slightly."

"...It's honestly quite interesting actually."

"What is?"

"You say that in jest now, but when I first met you you would likely have been sincere in enjoying this," Vectivus commented. "I'm simply pleased to see that you have been taking my advice to heart," he said, causing Asajj to sigh slightly.

"Don't tell her that. She would take most of the credit for that and she does not need the boost to her ego."

After a moment, the two of them reached Ciaran's sealed workshop, standing impassively before the sealed door.

"You do have a manual override somewhere right?"

"Left side of the door. You see the gaps there?"

"Yes. On that note I am grateful that you didn't decide to just phase through the door," Asajj commented as she opened thhe hidden panel, pressing the button hidden by it.

"That would be quite rude to both of you." Vectivus commented as the door slowly opened to the sight of a very frazzled Ciaran darting around the room, muttering incoherently as she gathered parts and not even registering her visitors. Both Vectivus and Asajj were stunned silent as she continued to move like a woman possessed, eventually gathering what appeared to be lightsaber parts at a worktable.

"We may have gone too far," Asajj said, moving to interrupt Ciaran before-

"Wait." Vectivus said as Asajj stopped in place. "Let her finish."

Completely ignoring their conversation, Ciaran finished gathering her parts, placing them on a table with the 'Mantle of the Force' and another, smaller green crystal. She stopped for a brief moment before nodding to herself and beginning to pick up individual pieces with the Force, slowly putting it together piece by piece with a calmness in stark contrast to her earlier frenzied work. Eventually, she assembled the blade, slightly curved like Asajj's own lightsabers, and gently grabbed it out of the air. Then she suddenly ignited it, showing that the blade was an eerie blue-green color before she went through a series of practice swings. As the blade arced through the air it left behind a brief but noticeable trail of energy that resembled a crescent as she continued with a few experimental swings. After a moment, she nodded to herself and turned off the blade, shook her head, and looked at Asajj and Vectivus having finally registered their presence.

"Uh...hi. Sorry for getting ahead of myself but uh...I did it?"

"Indeed you have. Let me see your lightsaber more closely please," Vectivus said. Ciaran nodded in response, and held out her lightsaber handle. While it shared the curved hilt of Asajj's lightsabers, the blade had a golden trim, though at least externally it resembled a traditional lightsaber.

"Interesting. I can't say I've seen anything resembling the arcs it created earlier, but it is certainly striking. Hmm..." Vectivus was silent for a moment before he spoke again "Would you be willing to give it to Asajj for a moment?"

Both of them glanced at Vectivus confusedly before Ciaran nodded, handing the blade over to a curious Asajj.

Throw it towards the wall as if you were going to break it, came Vectivus' voice telepathically in Asajj's mind. Her weapon feels...strange and I wish to test something.

Outwardly Asajj showed no reaction, looking over Ciaran's new lightsaber as though she were evaluating it with a critical eye. Then without warning she threw the hilt towards one of the walls, already preparing to catch it with the Force-

"NO!"

Without warning the hilt shot back towards Ciaran's outstretched hand, the blade igniting with what appeared to be an instinctual movement on Ciaran's part before she shut it off again. "What the hell was that for!?" she yelled in outrage. "Do you have any idea how much time I spent building this!?"

"Quite a while, though that's beside the point. That lightsaber - it seems to have an unusual reaction to the Force, and more specifically your use of it."

"I must admit, I didn't sense anything too out of the ordinary," Asajj noted. "I can certainly tell that it's particularly in tune with the Force - something to do with the primary crystal?"

"That's right!" Ciaran said with a hint of pride in her voice. "The crystal at the heart of this is the 'Mantle of the Force'-"

"The same Revan used!? No wonder it's so odd then, that crystal is famous specifically for being able to amplify the Force powers of its user."

"I still don't understand what makes you say that it's so strange," Asajj commented, nonplussed by Vectivus' description of the crystal. "As far as I could tell it did exactly what your description indicated it would do; amplified Ciaran's Force powers and let her grab the blade faster than I could."

"I cannot be certain, but it felt as though the blade came back to Ciaran instead of her calling it back herself."

"Um..." Ciaran tried to look respectful but couldn't quite hide the look of disbelief on her face. "I admit I've seen some crazy things in this galaxy, but speaking as the woman who made the thing I don't sense anything that out of the ordinary."

"Then why did you ignite the blade after you grabbed it?"

"...Reflex."

"Despite the fact that you trust us both implicitly."

"Since I have the feeling this argument would go in circles if it continued, let's go back to a more relevant topic," Asajj said, facing Ciaran dead on. "Some of the designs you created were actually quite viable on their own."

"...But you told me that they were flawed and-"

"I lied."

"...I hate you."

"You cannot argue with results. The point being is that now you've gotten quite a few lightsaber designs in the Home's databanks, and haven't you been meaning to get proper lightsabers to our Force users?" Asajj pointed out. Ciaran blinked for a moment, processing her point before her face lit up. "Well, alright then! We need to make those designs available to everyone ASAP!"

--------

"Kygeetu san Torgh. Dani Plenar."

The Kaleesh Abysswalker snapped to attention and practically froze in place, causing Dani to subtly roll her eyes and do the same as Ciaran looked at both of them seriously.

"I'm sure you're aware that recent efforts have been put into place to ensure that all of our Force corps will have proper lightsabers. While I'm sure neither of you would have objections to a standardized lightsaber design the two of you are the most elite members and as such you should have something a cut above the rest. The two of you will be given access to a workshop of your choosing on the home to construct a personalized lightsaber - or lightsabers if you prefer - with the assistance of Vectivus. I myself have other things that require my more immediate attention, but I would like to see your results. Understood?"

"Yes, ma'am," the two Abysswalkers said.

Their process of constructing lightsabers was much more rapid than Ciaran's between their access to some of the other designs she had created. Within the next day, the two of them met with Ciaran again, who was looking somewhat unsteady this time around as she muttered to herself. "...ear, the Force has the weirdest sense of humor if that's how things are going to-"

"Uh...my Lady? Are you alright?" Kygeetu asked nervously.

"I-it's fine, it's not really your problem andhonestlyyouwouldn'tbelievewhat'sgoingtohappen anyway how did your lightsabers turn out, you two?"

Kygeetu eagerly stepped forward first, drawing a pair of shorter lightsabers that had a suspiciously familiar golden trim and igniting them, the blades a color similar to Ciaran's own lightsaber. "I-I think mine did a-alright," she stuttered out as Dani facepalmed. "I heard some things about your own blades from Vectivus s-so I-"

"Patterned them after mine, I can see that," Ciaran said, nodding affirmatively before turning to Dani. "And...?"

Dani smirked confidently, drawing a lightsaber that appeared to be made out of more scrap metal than actual material and ignited it herself, showing off an amber-colored blade that seemed to be slightly unstable. "Before you ask boss, it's been tested and confirmed to be perfectly functional and reliable. It may look like junk but it's made up of brand new parts. I think the scrap look gives it character."

"I can appreciate that. Now then, how has it gone over with rest of the corps?" Ciaran queried.

"In general they've appreciated having formalized designs for their lightsabers and the fact that they are relatively easy to mass produce," Kygeetu said authoritatively to the surprise of Dani. "While there have been minor complaints that only Walkers such as myself and Miss Plenar can fully customize their lightsabers, the general agreement is that having the standard color of the Agents be silver gives them a sense of unity and could potentially serve to demoralize potential enemies should they see a unified fighting force." Kygeetu blinked, suddenly starting to fidget. "I-I mean, I like to think that I m-might have some insight to this as a warrior but really Vectivus and Tyro-"

"Oh right, I should get him to build one himself too..." Ciaran muttered to herself, moving to place a call. "Thank you for sharing and the update you two, you may go."

Kygeetu beat a hasty retreat followed by a very confused Dani as Ciaran called Tyro to report to her ASAP.

--------

"No."

"So you have a backup plan for if someone with a lightsaber gets up close and personal then?"

Tyro sighed, sitting down as Ciaran looked at him with noticeable frustration, her arms folded. He drummed his fingers for a brief moment before responding. "Boss, even after your Matukai manuals I am not a melee fighter in the slightest. I've never trained with a lightsaber, and honestly I doubt you could teach me properly. I'd just start demanding a blaster instead."

Ciaran sighed, taking off her visor and pinching her brow as she shook her head. "Look, I get that you're really good with a blaster and your Blazing Chains abilities. But you can easily put together a lightsaber of your own, and it will not kill you to have a proper holdout weapon for melee. If you don't care that much then just use one of the designs the Agents use." She looked him in the eyes. "Just do that much. That's all I'm asking."

"Boss, why do you care?" Tyro asked. In response, Ciaran was silent for a few seconds before throwing her arms up in frustration. "Look, I'm going to level with you. I went through a lot of suffering to create those designs, and I want people to use them dammit. You are not an exception."

Tyro was struck silent for a moment, before starting to chuckle, quickly progressing to full-on laughter as Ciaran glared at him. After a moment Tyro just barely managed to contain his laughter. Barely. "Alright, boss, I'll get one to soothe your bruised ego."

"Well thank you very much then Tyro," Ciaran said sarcastically.

Rewards: Ciaran gains "Moonlight Blade" lightsaber and "Lightsaber Designer" trait, Abyss Agents get high-grade standardized lightsabers, Walkers gain customized lightsabers

AN: This was totally done on time. There were certainly not any particular releases this past week that may have massively distracted me. No sir.

Anyway, I know this update is short-ish but I wanted to give everyone's saber's a bit of uniqueness. Sure we have Ciaran's Moonlight Blade as an obligatory thing, but I liked having every other major Force user have the chance to give their own sabers character (or lack thereof in Tyro's case).

Aside from that, I'm going to say up front that Ciaran's shiny new lightsaber isn't going to translate into direct stat boosts due to it being a combat weapon. It is obviously going straight into Personal Assets though, and I might have ideas for how I can have it pan out statistically in the near future. We'll see though, they're currently strictly hypothetical.

Still, enjoy~

I wonder what Ciaran was grumbling about when Dani and Kygeetu showed up. Visions of the future?
Maybe her figuratively 'rerolling' the space pirates action and looking at the results? After all, she's conscious of it now, and seeing the actions involved in "Phantoms of Naboo", Ciaran would agree that things are going to be... interesting, to say the least.

Edit: Yep, looking at the snipet of the results of False-Flag Piracy, I think that's it.

@Dr. Snark, how did they get them a uniform silver? To my understanding, kyber crystals result in a blue, green, or red blade, depending on whether you infuse it with Light Side energy or Dark Side energy, or white if a crystal was previously Dark Side-aligned but then purified.

Thar be other crystals that are just as good ya know
Durindfire (crystal)

And they could be doing just that, creating the crystal, letting it accept the darkness they use and then cleansing it or maybe they just have a store of silvered crystals that they make artificially and colour, they do have access to Vivictus after all.

Many ways to make em rather than Kyber in a universe that's more expansive than current canon.

SCIENCE!

Joking aside, there's enough Saber colors lying around that "Blue/Green/Red" should hardly be held as gospel truth. It's just those are the simplest and most natural colors to get.

In canon they seem to be the only things that make Sabers.

As this is not canon we can go for what ever crystals are around, and make our own.

Not even natural they're just the most common.

Even including canon details, we have that veritable ocean of colors from the other videos. Hence, Blue/Green/Red can't be considered the only colors.

It wouldn't be "accepting" the darkness. Kyber crystals are naturally Light Side-aligned and making them Dark Side-aligned involves forcefully dominating them. This causes them to "bleed" which results in the red colour. That they did that then purified them wouldn't make sense either, because their sabers are silver, not white.

I guess they could've used a non-kyber crystal, but kyber crystals are the most common form of saber crystal out there. Finding that many non-kyber crystals should be very difficult unless I'm mistaken.

No they are the most common because the Jedi found the caves on Ilum, they drew from a much wider range of sources before, but they all fell out of fashion because it was too dangerous to take the younglings to them so Ilum it was even if superior crystals can be found elsewhere.

We have no such barrier.

Also twitches.

Was all I did for naught.

I promise it's going to be a briefing the boss soon ish. I promise.

Adegan
Apparently one of the most common types and found in the Adega system, Halm Mygeeto and in parts of the Cularin system asteroid belt. The force apparently shares a close connection with these crystals which forms a strong bond between blade and master, but because of this trait Adegan crystals in a lightsaber to give off a weak Force signature that could be sensed by any Jedi.

The best ones were the Methite, which was a typical Adegan crystal used by the Jedi.and Ponite which was the rarest and most powerful type of Adegan crystal. Nearly impossible to find, it resonated with a powerful aura that cooled both skin and tempers. However, with the exception of Pontite they were similar to the Ilum crystals to the point that the names were interchangeable, though the caves of Ilum meant that the Adegan fell out of use, as they were rare even in the systems they were found in, Pontite being near legendary.

They also have some use in stealth as the Sith used them to make a stealth armada during the cold war.

Amplification
Very little is known about this type, they were silver crystals used Maulkiller, and his crystals were lost post mortem.

Translating from game mechanics, they are a general boost, as unlocking them causes you to deal more damage.

Ankarres Sapphire
One of the most potent crystals that could be found this one is lightside exclusive and has vaguly defined healing abilities. What is more interesting is that when used by a darkside user it would heat up the blade, though this could be reversed if it fell into the wrong hands.
Meetra Surik found it. In more modern times it was kept on Kuari Princess by Dom Pricina, it was stolen by 4-LOM slightly before the battle of Yavin.

Allya's Redemption Allya's Exile
Linked because of similar names and quite simple Allya's Redemption imbues the lightsaber it is used in with an acid effect and makes wounds poisonous, while the exile imbues it with a heat effect.

My guess is that these would be found on Dathomir as the Allya they refer to is this woman Allya who was responsible for the foundation of the Witches of Dathomir as well as Dathomiri magic.

Bnar's Sacrifice
A brown crystal used by Jedi Master Ood Bnar, this crystal apparently left by him after he was killed in the old republic era will only join with the person that attunes to them. If there are more versions of this crystal I dunno, nor am I sure of its location.

Bane's Heart (crystal)
A synthetic crystal and a very powerful one at that, in canon it was actually Grevious who would have found this killing the Dark Jedi who had it either on Dica or Necropolis. It was recovered from his star fighter after he died and it was used in the N-K Project and was stolen from the corpse of N-K Necrosis. It would release lightning if anyone but its owner tried to use it.

Barab ingot
A rare crystal found on Barab I, they cause the blade they are used in to "burn like fire" and anyone/thing hit by them to catch fire as well.

Blackwing crystal
An unusual type crystal that produced a smokey ash blade. Located on Dathomir in the Quaranteen zone guarded by an undead rancor its thought these crystals have some connection to Imperial bioweapons Project I71A due to the naming similarities, though that is just speculation.

Bondar
Only found in a specific asteroid on the Alderaan system when the lightsaber grazes flesh it stuns the opponent.

Bondara's Folly
An interesting one, named after master Anoon Bondara the crystal's properties besides being brown and only working for the one who attuned to it was that it was made from several crystal fragments.

Baas' Wisdom
Simple enough when used it imparts a freezing effect.

Compressed energy crystal
Corusca gem/Legends
Luxum
Compressed crystals technically includes others, but lets go with these two as the main ones.

Corusca are made in Yavin Prime, and they are quite rare in the galaxy and highly valued which got them named after corusant. There are big ones the closer you get to the centre of Yavin Prime.
Property wise they are extremly strong, making very powerful blades, but their main value is in their worth.
We could probably make a fortune as only Shatter point is a practical way to do it apparently.
Luxum are made Ambria, a planet gripped by dark energies, where they were formed out of the minerals and Force energy contained in Lake Natth, through meditation and are effective against droids imparting an ion effect. They can also be used by non darksiders Jax Pavan sought one out in his search for a mineral with which to construct a new lightsaber after losing his in a fight with Darth Vader.

Corrosion
Used by Star Killer, this crustal did what else cause what was hit by it including organics to corrode, it was a compressed crystal.

Cunning of Tyranus
Nother one that recognises no other master than the one attuned to it.

Dahgee Lightsaber crystal
These ones were used by the Dahgee Jedi in the old republic, the blades created were zig zaged with a dark silver core and a coloured aura.
Though their users are gone you can still find examples of their robes and sabers.

Damind
Found on Daminia these crystals project a longer and wider blade which is better for deflecting blaster fire.

Dawn of Dagobah
Rare to use to make a saber this one poisons and acidifies enemies it hits.

Dragite crystal
Found on M'haeli, in the D'olop Mountain Range, these crystals emit loud sonic resonances when struck, harming enemies.

Durindfire (crystal)
Rare and only found on Tatooine few of these rare crystals ever left the planet, and while of high quality their gimmick seems to be a silver blade, they were commonly used by the Halcyon/Horn family who's gimmick was being good at Tutaminis or absorbing energy with the force including lightsaber blades.

Enhancement jewel
Seemingly a computer component, they could be used in sabers, albeit with no interesting effects noted.

Eralam
Once mined on the third moon of the planet Erai, though orbital bombardments by ancient Sith forces against the moon made them very rare. If found they make an extremely clear and powerful "superior" blade.

Etaan crystal
Rare and found only on the planet Etai these ones are hard to get at, but have a few interesting traits as they echo sound with a humming resonance. When used for lightsabers the blade emitted thrummed in harmony with the motion of the blade. When clashing against another blade, the weapon will gave off a near-deafening crack and flared with energy. While a lightsaber powered by an etaan would cause others to bounce off it's blade, blaster bolts absorbed some of the energy from the resonant blade and were increasingly dangerous if redirected at a target

Firkrann
Noted for its weight these crystals were mined on the planet Rafa V. When used in a saber they make it energised and electric, extra dangerous to droids.

Focus
Different types of focus crystals produced different effects i.e.
  • Bondar crystals: Produces a weaker blade
  • Solari crystals (no not that one): Makes the blade wider
  • Kathracite: Produces a stunning sting rather than a lethal edge.
They also help the user in meditation.

Ghostfire crystal
Probably the best crystals for the watchers, found in various planets in the Outer Rim on so called Ghost Fire peaks, these crystals a translucent blade that leaves an illustriously after effect as well as producing little to no noise.

Hurrikaine crystal
The purple ones the Windu's lightsaber is made of, no other real advantage as far as I can tell

Impact
Compressed crystals used by Starkiller, they hit harder... literally.

Incineration
Another compressed crystal again used by Starkiller, set things on fire.

Kaiburr crystal
Not the kind you are thinking of, this beauty was a relic first located on Circarpous V, locally known as Mimban in the temple Temple of Pomojema. This thing was apparently able to increase a force users power 1000 times, enhanced healing and allowed the use of Force Lightning by those who normally wouldn't be able to.

For us the Crystal should still be in the temple which was abandoned for unknown reasons as it wasn't moved until 2 ABY, the Mimbanites have a shard of the crystal, as well as a map which led to Pomojema's temple.

A woman named Halla is after it, but is a good guy, but she isn't there until BBY 5.

Sounds great plenty of time to pick it up, well the down side is that the crystal is only useful near the temple and looses power when away from it (so we can't take it off world), though we could use it as a catalyst for various things.

The crystal fragments apparently make the "the best light saber crystals" with users including Meetra Surik, Galen Marek, Luke and Luminya.

It also serves as an excellent meditation tool even while away from the temple, Luke using it as one of his best tools in his Praxeum.

Kasha
Traditionally used by Cereans as meditation tools these crystals keep the mind clear of distractions.

Katak
Essentially a life drain crystal, when used the life of enemies is taken and used to heal the user, Galen Merek used one. (ironically in game it is unlocked by finding a Jedi Holocron)

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kenobi's_Legacy
Once attuned only the user can use it.

Krayt dragon pearl/Legends
Found in the dangerous Tattooine Krayt Dragons and extremely valuable simple enough they create a better blade, depending on the quality of the pearl used.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kun's_Blood
No information is given on this crystal, I will assume it binds to a user and is uniquely black.

Lambent
Not one we can really aquire, these are fruit grown by the Vong, no real advantage, save for the fact that one bound with one can sense vong.

Lava crystal
Not much to say here, these crystals are extremely powerful and said to look like they are made of lava. Only found in useful numbers (rarely) on worlds like Mustafar it creates a blade that resembles lava and is incredibly hot, throwing out flame and lava when it hits.

Life Drain
Compressed crystal used by Star Killer, name says it all.

Lignan crystal
Made from Lignan ore, these crystals make a blade which last longer and burns hotter than normal and cut through materials faster i.e. Sith team tries to ambush Luke cuts through thick metal doors, Luke through an escape hole, Sith get through first.

Lorrdian gemstone
Originating in the Kanz Disorders these crystals make a person better at reading body language, prediction and forsight and thus better at blocking blaster fire ect.

Meditation crystal
Rare as hell now a days these crystals originate from Tython and grow there naturally, they help a user centre themselves in combat and enhance their connection to the force. Starkiller gets two (they are his main two) and they are given to him by Rahm Kota.

Meetra Surik crystal
An interesting one found on Dantooine this crystal absorbs and develops according to what force energy is poured through it and becomes very strong because of it. Baby mantle of the force?
It also enhances the other components and crystals in the saber.
According the Kreia these crystals are rare?

Nextor
Found on the planet of M'haeli blades made with these crystals make a powerful, but unstable blade.

Opila
Mined from asteroids in the Fyrth system it generates an intense blade that can cut through materials at high speed.
Jenruax
A refined version of Opila, this made a more agile blade that could deflect blasters better.

Permafrost crystal
Rare crystals found only on Hoth, There is currently one on Dathomir in the township of Aurilia. Only useable by the one who tuned it maybe some frost powers given the other crystals.

Phond
Unknown how it is made exactly, but it is formed the byproduct resulting from rare impurities bonding during the making of certain alloys due to as-yet-unknown external conditions. Makes a fiercely burning blade.

Qixoni crystal
Really really rare crystals that enhance ones connection to the force and the power of a lightsaber. Found only in the Qixoni Nebula.

Rainbow gem
Sentient beings found on the planet of Gallinore and could be used as lightsaber crystals. Extremely valuable.

Rubat
Found only on planet Phemis, these crystals produced a sharper blade that was easier for the user to track and defend with, this crystal was used exclusivly by the Jedi until they started using Kyber from Ilum.

Ruusan crystal
Nothing special for the lightsaber itself, instead it helps force users forcus on the force, lost access after the Ruusan Reformation

Sapith
Excreted by the now extinct Volice worm, a creature from the Ssi-ruuvi homeworld Lwhekk, once every eleven standard years. When used it created an intense, but easy to control blade.

Sigil (crystal)
Mined in the Sigil system, these crystals induced a searing effect dealing extra damage and having a potent blade.

Solari
Essentially the light side version of the Force Saber Crystal and the Mantle, this crystal can only be used by a light sider (though in game inserting the mantle of heart would get around that) it was found by Revan, but where it is now is unknown. It also increases the width of the blade making it better for defence as well as being better against darksiders.

Stygium
Makes the user better at hiding. Found only on Aeten II and Maramere.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sunrider's_Destiny
Only the person who tunes to it can use it.

Synthetic lightsaber crystal
Artificial creations by sith, the blades that are made from these are extremly powerful, to the point that they can break the saber.

A few variations are the compressed which makes a thinner blade and makes an interesting visual effect and unstable, which while prone to shorting out do more damage.

Upari
A crystal found in orbit of forested world, brittal, but could be used to make many effects. A wookie clan cutting them apparently enhanced their effects.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ulic's_Redemption
Only user can use it... probably.

Ultima-Pearl
Rare silver, found at the bottom of the ocean of Dac apparently installing one is really really hard.

Velmorite
Found on Velmor, they make a thin fluid blade.

Vexxtal
Unknown origin and dark, they leave a corrupting aura on those they hit.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Windu's_Guile
Only useable by the person it is attuned too.

AND DONE!!!!

Lots of crystals out there.
