But it is Egyptian!
But it is Egyptian!
Yes, in one chapter Taylor mentions that she watched the Aleph versions of the prequels with the Undersiders. She also mentions that they were just as disappointing as the Bet versions, so seemingly Lucasfilms is still active in Bet.If I'm not confusing canon and fanon, Lucasfilms doesn't seem to be a thing. At least, I believe there is a reference to the prequels being imported from Aleph. If the company still exists, they don't have quite the clout they have here, unless Disney bought them far earlier than in our timeline.
Yes, so? Crocodiles are Egyptian too, and do you want Missy to become a crocodile? Missy as a crocodile... that would be really cool.
Sekhmet is a cat headed Egyptian warrior goddess of healing.Yes, so? Crocodiles are Egyptian too, and do you want Missy to become a crocodile? Missy as a crocodile... that would be really cool.
And your point is?
In that case, I would recommend not naming her Sekhmet. Both because you don't know what animal she summons and because apparently deity names are in bad taste on Earth Bet. I think? Someone tell me if I'm off base on that one.
As much as I like turtles, because turtles are cool, red and fast... No, no. Bring on the speedy red turtles. It will be hilarious. All I'm saying is if you decide to go full on cat and it turns out Missy summons, I don't know, a turtle, it's going to look really really weird and I'm going to laugh at you.
Sekhmet the Blood-Drinker, the Bringer and Taker of Plagues, She of the Marvelous Mane is a lion, not a cat. A bit of exactness, please.Sekhmet is a cat headed Egyptian warrior goddess of healing.
Missy is a calico haired Boost Device wielder with an egyptian weapon.
It is a thematic name.
As much as I like turtles, because turtles are cool, red and fast... No, no. Bring on the speedy red turtles. It will be hilarious.
Although, cutting back to your comment here, going Egyptian for her weapon is FAR from the worst choice you could have made. It is actually rather appropriate for her for a couple of different reasons. Still does not justify naming her Sekhmet.Missy is a calico haired Boost Device wielder with an egyptian weapon.
Yep. Assuming voting slows down and continues in this same vein, I might close it tonight and start the first Laura vote.Looks like swarm, flight, barrier & blitz wins pretty damn handily.
I will endorse this if the kaiju summon is Gamera. (Friend to all children!)As much as I like turtles, because turtles are cool, red and fast... No, no. Bring on the speedy red turtles. It will be hilarious.
Eh. My expectations are very tempered. She's not one-shotting an EB, just like we can't.I'm looking forward to how Laura turns out. Invulnerability? Sounds perfect for triggering just as she shoots off a Breaker attack at point blank. Since a Breaker tier attack stuns a Endbringer Laura is the perfect opening act to killing either Behemoth or Leviathan.
Though it'll take a long time to build up her spell repertoire to pull off such a maneuver.
Mags, the one member of the Dragonslayers who had magic, actually has 'inmate' in their Magical Potentiates profile. So, yeah, they're in jail, and since the only person who might care enough to get them out is in the Birdcage? They aren't about to become relevant. So just completely out nowhere since I was rereading AARs, whatever happened with Saint and his crew after we captured him? Is he sitting in a jail cell ranting about AIs and aliens while the guards are going "take a look at this guy"? What about the crew, are they just sitting around awkwardly pretending to not know Saint if they're potentially not as zealous as him and know when to give it up as a bad job?
Deity names seem to be associated with megalomaniacs. Less that they are bad, and more that the type of person who'd take a god's name is usually neither well adjusted nor reasonableIn that case, I would recommend not naming her Sekhmet. Both because you don't know what animal she summons and because apparently deity names are in bad taste on Earth Bet. I think? Someone tell me if I'm off base on that one.
But you know what? Since Missy's summons are an unknown, I may very well give you the option after her next interlude (not the MM interlude I've mentioned before, but the first time when the girls actually fight together) to see what she summons and then decide if you want to change her name. It'll call for a little bit of correction on my end, but nothing truly terrible.
The Dragonslayers are all in different prisons to keep them from coordinating any efforts to escape. Otherwise, yeah, they're basically cooling their heels. Saint is in a particularly bad spot because he's the most zealous of all of them, and while he has the technical know-how to "contract out" in a prison environment, he's not making any friends.
I mean, Deviceless mages can learn Basic Flight, which has none of the high speed capabilities that Aerial Combat does. For Device mages, AC is the default flight spell. Is Aerial Combat necessary to be able to fly, or is it just something adapted for flying with great speed and agility?
Just wondering if Missy could fly (for transportation/tactical purposes if not combat purposes) if we didn't select Aerial Combat.I mean, Deviceless mages can learn Basic Flight, which has none of the high speed capabilities that Aerial Combat does. For Device mages, AC is the default flight spell.
Any particular reason you're asking?
She could, sure, but she wouldn't get the supersonic flight her sonic Jacket/Haste Mode gives her. Basic Flight can't go that fast.Just wondering if Missy could fly (for transportation/tactical purposes if not combat purposes) if we didn't select Aerial Combat.
