Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Should we be using plans here? 'Cause otherwise the spells aren't going to come in a coherent batch.
You can, but if it turns into a major mess like it did last time, I'm going to take it line by line.
Would have liked flight but need to get that Barrier Jacket option now or it's gone for good.
Just as a heads up, to buy flight later on will be 6 XP.
Unless this only counts as 3 because of champion summons having that odd appelation?
This is 4 spells. The XP note means that since she's taking an advanced spell from the start, she'll start with an XP debt of 2.

Ninja Starter Package

Your plan is quite nice, but not using summon when we explicitely choose this device to allow summon is kinda... pointless. Also, being the only one unable to fly in the group can't be nice. So in other words... would you please consider switching to my plan? ☺

[X] Plan Flexibility
-[X] swarm summon
--[X] Champion summon (-2 XP)
-[X] Telekinesis
-[X] projection of a fist that can punch people at a distance

I really want to open up that telekinetic tree SW offered when we talked earlier because there is literally an unlimited number of applications to applied force and Summons are a large part of what we're excited about, so those are my four picks. Unless this only counts as 3 because of champion summons having that odd appelation? Then I'll add Blitz action. Honestly though, I think we can add those in later votes and this has to happen now like SW's yellow votes.
Telekinesis is pretty limited, due to the low mass restriction and Missy being fairly small.

The (-2xp) thing is because Champion Summon is an Advanced spell, costing six XP instead of four. So Missy would start with an XP debt of two before she has any to spend.

Curiously, Aerial Combat is marked as Advanced in the main list but it doesn't have the XP debt marker in the short-list. You'll handle it properly, but people are going to be confused regardless.

Well, everyone's gone off without using plans so it'll probably end up that way. Her spelllist is going to end up a weird hodgepodge if we don't manage some sort of major consenus.
... Poor Missy. That'll never happen.

To call yourself more than a halfassed jedi, you'd need to find a way to break SW of his totally nerfed telekinesis. 2x weight is tiny. Jedi TK ranges from the current utility skill to a Ragnaroc tier buster/breaker skill.
If YOU want to focus on advanced and WTF tier levels of telekinesis, go right on ahead. There's nothing stopping you. You just need to convince everybody else.

Telekinesis WAS limited. It COULD become much more.

*Sighs* My dreams shall go unfulfilled.
On the upside, there's no reason Missy or Kayleigh can't have lightsabers as backup weapons.

With her combat arm, she clocks in at 61 kilos, so not much less than Taylor, who is much taller but very lean. The bigger issue is that the Device version of TK (without mastery mod) is only mass not 2*mass.

But like I told Byakugan, there is absolutely no reason you can't focus her on TK and we make advanced and WTF versions that are far more powerful. It's just that the idea some people have that a basic tier spell that even D-rankers without a Device can use should be all-powerful is just… stupid.

It's such a useful spell that I'm giving a discount on chargen.

Well no, the major downside of the lightsaber is that the moment footage of Darth Missy shows up in public Lucasfilms' lawyers are gonna come down on her and Calamity Witch like a mob of really cranky Wookiees... and you know what, them actually having to worry about that is enough to get me to change my vote.

[X] (Device) Calico Laughing
[X] Lightsaber

(Just think, if Missy's magic color had been yellow she could've had the fabulous Sun Sword!)

If I'm not confusing canon and fanon, Lucasfilms doesn't seem to be a thing. At least, I believe there is a reference to the prequels being imported from Aleph. If the company still exists, they don't have quite the clout they have here, unless Disney bought them far earlier than in our timeline.

Of course, unless Missy goes around calling it a lightsabre or we try to sell them to the public, copyright and trademark infringement are going to be far harder to prove sufficiently to sway a judge and jury.

[X] Guardian Beast
[X] Blitz Action
[X] Aerial Combat
[X] Sprint

Going for all of the speed and giving her a GB for backup seems thematically appropriate. I think the summon spells need to take a back seat on the first build, but be at the top of the list for things to buy with her coming XP.

Honestly I just want Champion Summon. It's a lot of firepower, and we have the Fallen Raid soon. We can go full speed mode later when we have more spells and Missy's more experienced with magic.

Ah, my argument is mostly that the opponents we actually need WTF tier spells for, endbringers, are probably going to be able to completely ignore telekinesis no matter what we do. Even the WTF version would probably at best be able to slow them down or maybe hold them still for an extremely short time. Endbringers are enormous, particularly in terms of mass.

You didn't read then. WTF tier are antiendbringer spells, and SW in that quote offered WTF tier Telekinesis.
No, I did, see above.

Missy has 15 spell slots to play with. I think she could afford it.

Not to mention, if we made a WTF tier telekinesis, it would have to be impressive enough to justify its cost.
If we can get wtf tier TK we can play Simmurgh and punt Leviathan or Behemoth into the air. Possibly into low orbit, as breaker spells are shown in the series to cause grand canyon sized dents on the next planet over. That'd leave plenty of room to hit it with Arc En Ciel or surround it for mass transit without endangering the planet. That's plenty of punch in an endbringer fight. No need for silly efforts like trying to hold them immobile.

And Cassie doubles the weight limit on Tk, what potential fun.

The don't try to pick an Endbringer up. Throw something at it. Wrap it up with something to hold it down, which we saw worked against Leviathan in canon. FFS, put it on top of something else that you lift, since thanks to being present in multiple dimensions Endbringers don't weigh as much as their mass should dictate.

My worry about giving you people TK is that you will only ever look for the most direct answer, not the most effective one.

This actually means we shouldn't give Missy TK, since it's Laura who has stupid levels of synchronisation with Cassiel.
You know, that other mage we're going to be doing votes for. Just in case anyone forgot we're doing two rounds of this madness.

I do not envy SIlently right now, not in the slightest.
