Well I'm going to be the bearer of bad news. This update to that post was concerned with filling out some Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern characters. The next update is meant to cover Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Gentleman Ghost, Vandal Savage, Red Tornado and his siblings and maybe cover Zatanna, Roxy Rocket, Great White, King Shark, Talia al Ghul and/or Mercy Graves. After that I will be getting into the Teen Titans and their villains. If you are waiting on say Rebecca Carstairs or Louise Lincoln or the Brain you'll be waiting for a while

I'm disappointed but I suppose its better to know ahead of time instead of constantly coming back expecting the next real installment.

Sometimes you get a quest participant who thinks that they can get better net results from the quest by lambasting the QM for indulging in side projects or doing things they don't like.

In my experience this is very counterproductive.

We should build a convention centre/exhibition centre that we can host future Lexpo and other such events at. We can fority it much better than a public park incase trouble comes calling again, like a certain psychic space caterpillar.

Maybe in the turn after we hire more Hero Units as a test of their Co-op.

...by the graces, if that's what you call lambasting I just dont know what to say too you. Do tag/quote me next time though instead of going for passive aggressive digs.

What?
I'm going to be updating the fighting styles thing independently from the actual quest. What I do there has no bearing on the other stuff.
Ah, that makes more sense, my apologies. I was under the impression you were going to be pushing back the actual story/quest in favor of the fighting style things.

Do you know what's better than one redhead?

Whew... @King crimson, here is another...I guess.

P.S: Do I smell potential passive bitch-fighting incoming? Please, by all means warn me first so I can get the popcorn.

So I'm not dead just tired (I've been dealing with emails with people who are apparently incapable of properly scheduling things). This image overall is nice although something seems to be a bit off with the eyes (especially Pamela's). You've earned 400 exp

The update is planned to arrive late today (shooting for 7 pm PST but I think we all know the times I try to get are at best a rough estimate).

Interlude: Gift Distribution
And I've gotten around to getting this up. I think I'm going to wrap things up on this turn fast as it's starting to drag out. We'll have one more interlude at max (to tie up everything that happened) although I might just not keep going with it, I'll spend a day or two updating character sheets and then turn 20 will roll around. I hope you all are excited. There is a lot of concern over Superman and how he'll play out but I think it will be interesting to see the dynamic between you and him evolve. Keep in mind that you'll not be able to focus solely on defense the same way you did with Lois Lane as an opponent and that you will not have to fight him every turn if you do not want to. That said he is going to make things harder for you by sheer virtue of existing since you will be on a countdown until you have to take actions against him. I'll be detailing a post on how nemesis interactions will work on the same day I update the character sheets. Thank you all for your patience and I hope you all enjoy what's yet to come.

Interlude: Gift Distribution
Mercy Graves
After the relatively fruitless meeting in Polkolistan it was nice to head back to Metropolis and what she knew best. Things hadn't gone perfectly but what had been gained was good enough on its own. Through sneaking about in Russia and attacking bases with information Mercy had managed to grab some data on the Rocket Red program and what she found was quite impressive.

A short list of the current suits candidates and a potential way to track down the suits when used due to a unique signature they left behind when enabling flight. There were currently six candidates for the Rocket Red program, Maks Chekov, Josef Denisovich, Dmitri Pushkin, Vladimir Mikoyan, Gavril Ivanovich and Olga Ilyich. Of the candidates only three had suits (Maks, Josef and Dmitri) which were designated by the call-signs Rocket 1, 2 and 3. The schematics that Mercy had found were only of the flight units but they suggested that the current armor models would leave a faint signature whenever the flight signals were engaged making it possible to potentially track the suits to wherever they were being kept if they got deployed. The US military would kill to have this kind of data and Mercy knew Lex would make full use of it as both leverage and something to sell. After all while LexCorp had superior flight units the rest of the world didn't know that so the value of this information seemed to outsiders as greater than it actually was. Being able to sell something that your consumers overvalued at a higher price than you needed would ensure that you could make a profit when you inevitably removed the need for the outdated information.

The information on the candidates for being a pilot in this program was also useful since it would let others develop a background on these people to get at rather than through direct combat. Also interestingly was the fact that while Russia had numerous knock-off armors they only had three Rocket Reds. That meant that the Rocket Reds were likely far more dangerous than the other suits and that Ignition had likely stolen an inferior prototype compared to what the final product looked like. That was concerning on many levels but Mercy could deal with that stuff later. Lex knew how to handle the grand strategy of how this information would be applied.

She passed along the information to Lex and got back to her duties at LexCorp. Things were fairly relaxed once she got back and Mercy was able to easily keep things running as efficiently and effectively as she could. Of course things couldn't stay simple. A package was received and was labelled as being for Lex himself.

Naturally Mercy had the package thoroughly checked and examined before it was ultimately deemed as harmless. She then had some of the grunts open up the box and check what was inside of it. Inside there was a single tape labeled "Confirmation of services rendered" alongside a single preserved finger. Mercy wasn't quite sure what it was so she had her people check where the package came from. Apparently the tape was anonymously delivered from Santa Prisca. Figuring it was probably harmless to watch Mercy popped the tape into a player and got other people out of the room.

The video opened with the bulky dictator himself giving a brief narration of how in the spirit of friendship he decided to take it upon himself to rid LexCorp of a problem they'd been having. The video then cut to a clip of Vincent Edge being taken in by various members of Bane's faction. Bane narrated that he had caught a rat and he had chosen to exterminate it. The video then cut to confirmation of Bane's rather brutal and violent personal elimination of Vincent Edge. The sound was cut out but Mercy could tell that between the first shot and the second Vincent had been mutilated and he face Bane with immense fear in his eyes and pleaded something before getting executed. Bane then stated that this video was to give LexCorp closure and confirm that he had ended their mutual problem. Mercy then had the preserved finger checked and it was confirmed that the fingerprints matched those of Vincent Edge

Mercy was unimpressed. Sure it was nice that Bane had sent confirmation that one of the last two leaders of Intergang was dead but sending LexCorp a snuff film and a preserved finger was far too risky as it could have gotten LexCorp bogged down in some major complications if someone had decided to try and investigate them. It was a headache and a half and Mercy was just glad that no one else had seemed to investigate the package. She now had to report this all to Lex so that he knew what to do next.

Bane's gift could cause some complications and the video he sent was not for the faint of heart. Furthermore if it was sent somewhere and the package was intercepted it could cause a lot of complications. Still if it was information worth sharing with others Lex would be sure to do so in such a way that ensured that LexCorp came out on top.

Data Distribution subvote
You have received data on the Rocket Red candidates as well as how many suits there are and a potential method to track them via their flight units unique exhaust trail. Many people would be quite interested in this information and you could sell or give it to others for a large benefit. As such the choice is now yours to make. Please vote for as many options as you would like to take from the list below. Please keep your vote in plan format as all votes not in plan format will be discounted. Write-ins are available for this vote although all write-ins are subject to QM approval. There is a 1 hour moratorium on voting. Please note that you cannot both give and sell the data to the same individual.

Video of Vincent's Demise subvote
Bane has recently sent you a video of Vincent Edge's death. While Mercy has already seen is and can be trusted to keep quiet about it, you appear to be the only other person who has seen this. As such you now need to decide who you want to show this video to but the more people you show it to, especially if you send copies of the file the more you increase the chances of a leak. On the other hand leaving your allies operating on false information could prove to be very dangerous in the long run. Please pick as many options as you would like from the list below. Please keep your vote in plan format. Write-ins are available for this vote although all write-ins are subject to QM approval. There is a 1 hour moratorium on voting.

Also on an unrelated note I've got a fight scene involving Sakki (a minor character but a somewhat interesting and relevant one) that I might use as an experiment in integrating music into a piece. Are people interested in seeing it? It would probably land sometime next week and I'd like to gauge peoples interest in the piece

Given I have, in real life, just gotten a house for about half of its value thanks to friendships with the foreman and the workers, I really don't think the value of connections should be overlooked. We need to do upkeep on our allies whenever possible. Which puts me in the gifting mood. Personally, I think Eiling, DOMA, Vertigo, and Bane should get the info for free(as a sort of "We're upholding our end" type thing). Tighting up the security with Bane seems to be the only real thing that should be done with the Video to me.

On an unrelated note, I have my tower back, which means I can get back to writing that really dumb omake.

@King crimson would it be possible to trade the data as opposed to selling it? For a favor or something they have that can aid us like borrowing a hero unit or a collaboration on a project at their expense (their hero action), or some data we don't have?

[ ] [Video] Write-in: Secretly send a message to the League of Shadows informing Ra's al Ghul that you have confirmation that Vincent Edge is dead, in case this is of interest. Secretly inform General Eiling that you have confirmed evidence that Vincent Edge is dead at the hands of Bane. If and only if he asks to see this evidence, send him a copy of the video. Inform Oswald Loomis that you have confirmation that Vincent Edge is dead. He died messily and painfully, and very afraid, at the hands of a very violent man. If Oswald asks to see proof, offer to show him the video. If he accepts, show him. Send Bane a secret message asking him to be more discreet in the future and giving him a hidden line of communication to use in the future

That's a fair point. We can sell to other factions, but giving to the people we're explicitly forging alliances with, when it's information we probably can't suffer from them having, is not a bad idea.

No. It's too difficult to trade information secretly when one party is not actively seeking it out and you have to convince them to buy information they don't know. Trading on secret information is not something that will happen as it cannot function as a guarantee of things working out

Is there really a point in giving or selling the information to Eiling, Sam Lane and the US Government?

Surely one would inform the others of the discovery and giving it to all of them just cheapens it whereas if we give it to Eiling we make him look better by being the guy to report it

Also I doubt we need to tell Eiling about Edge since Bane worked for him too

That is a fair point and I think you are right. Though when it comes to the power armor information I think we should give it to both DOMA and Eiling at least. DOMA isn't part of the military (they presumably work for the Department of Justice or something), so it would be very easy for the information on how to track Rocket Red suits to end up being classified TS:SCI by the military, and for DOMA to not know it even though their agents are disproportionately likely to actually encounter Rocket Reds, because they're the ones who deal directly with metahumans all the time.

Also I doubt we need to tell Eiling about Edge since Bane worked for him too
Telling Eiling things he already knows can confirm to him that we are loyal and have his interests in mind.

Fair enough, I'm also unsure about telling Oswald up front that Edge died a slow, painful death

It's difficult because he clearly hates the guy with a burning passion but he's also not that fond of violence and suffering otherwise
