Bodies in motion should naturally increase coops with people attracted to Cassandra, and prodigy in medicine has potential to raise Cassandra's starting Coops with our new doctors, much like legal loopholes resulted in greater coop with Lucy because of Cassandra's interests inher profession. Regretably it's fairly late in the vote for a switch, particularly for a pair of option with only a single vote each.

At this point it's down to the top 3. Memetic Me is the isn't particularly coop boosting, though it would provide a good avenue to practice coordination and character defamation/counter defamation. Monkey see, monkey better than you has it's virtues and flaws covered over the last few pages. ????? Comes with interesting applications and is the one martial trait I'm interested in building on. Choose wisely.
 
Also remember that Lady Shiva is coming to kill Cassandra. Early access to Chi may be the 1 edge to tip the scales in Cassandra's favor.

If we commit to it then maybe, but are we going to? We are talking about multiple turns of dedicated effort, at the expense of her child actions and stat growth, and with the support of multiple other units at a time. You are talking about influencing an entire generation in a major way, and that's going to take many sacrifices.

As opposed to traits that make her a better fighter right away, additional training, or our security forces gunning her down like the dog that she is, assuming that she gets past our wards in the first place?

The reason to take the Chi option is if you want to potentially give Cassandra unique superpowers down the line, and that's a great reason and I support it, but Lady Shiva isn't a factor here.

I've decided that I'm happy with either Memetic Me or Monkey See, Monkey Better Than You so I'm pretty happy that they're both the top contenders.

??? would be okay but it's basically just a pure Martial boost we'd need to work on.

Plus the fact that we've specifically put a statue of Nemesis rather than the more modern Lady Justice is a subtle hint that we're less interested in upholding the law and more interested in revenge.

@King crimson would Monkey See, Monkey Better Than You effect singing? Because that's a potential way for Cassandra to accrue more influence and acclaim when we start our music production company.

She isn't coming to kill Cassandra right now. Talia is considering possibly pointing her at Cassandra years from now so the two can fight and Cassandra can claim the title to her benefits. Nothing like that is happening at this point in the quest.

Cass will be turning fourteen soon, so people closer to herself in age would be viable, otherwise yes it's not an issue until turn 44ish.

Yes it would. Singing is a physical action. While there will be a few logical limitations put into place (Cassandra can mimic the style and execution of the singer she's copying but it would still be in her voice) it otherwise is functionally the same as any other physical action.
 
Also Chi is not just Martial. It opens up the market of Traditional Chinese Medicine to LexCorp Medical. Imagine LexCorp Accupuncture Clinics and Accupuncture Therapy for our Staff as part of their Healthcare Coverage.

Chi can be used to detect people via extrasensory stuff, or at least it did for some characters (DC is extremely inconsistent about it, unlike Marvel) so that's a solid boost for Intrigue right there.

Absolutely, hence my not voting for it. I can give my take on the gross realities of a trait without approving of it. .

I'd say it has to be, given it would fall under the broader action of teach Cassandra about business.

It's shaky. There's already an "educate on psychology and sociology" option and a general "teach Cassandra about business" option. I'm tentatively willing to potentially throw in a dedicated action to just marketing, but I'd need to do some work ensuring the action is not just an alternate version of either of the two existing options and instead is more of a hybrid.

I'll say my bit about this very quickly.

Attraction and teenaged characters can get really nasty really fast. I will say that I hope I've earned enough credit with regular thread goers that they would believe I'd handle it well and tastefully but I can understand that it's a tricky subject and I can very easily screw things up.

My intention with this trait is to primarily lock it to Cassandra's interactions with peers at about her own age until Cassandra is no longer a minor. While there are characters who could fill this niche, I will be pulling the plug on that preemptively and say that it won't occur in this quest. That being said, I think it would be a little disingenuous to lock teenagers out of romance and attraction entirely. I think it's kind of a relevant part of being a teen and I know for a fact that people dated in high school (and probably felt enough attraction to look at a peer and go "they're hot" before that).

In addition the trait will not involve out and out "seduction". My general rule of thumb for what I will and will not depict with regards to children and romantic relationships/attraction is "could this be aired on a tv channel aimed at children". While I will freely admit that television is probably not the best arbiter of what is and isn't gross, I think it's a good rule of thumb for figuring out what the general societal standard for "acceptable" is.

Edit: Stuff like Avatar the Last Airbender, Adventure Time, Kim Possible, the Teen Titans tv show and much more all showed teenage characters on screen with romantic plots and had the characters show they were attracted to one another. I think I'm not crossing any lines if I include a similar level of romance/attraction within my writing.

Looks like a 3 way tie for Cass's trait.
 
Three traits tied for the win, each with pros and cons, and will require more actions to build up:

Memetic Me: Memetic Me is likely to make Cassandra more in tune with trends of the time. She's going to be keeping a lot more of a pulse on what's in and out and general trends in human behavior. This'll likely come with an increase in confidence (or at least Cassandra acting like she's confident) and Cassandra being more fixated on her image in the eyes of the public. The colder side of the effect this trait is that Cassandra is liable to think of the behavior of masses of people as more or less operating on a mix of pathology and memetic theory, where the crowd is dictated by what ideas and beliefs infect them. As such she's going to be a lot more focused on instilling behaviors and ideas into people. It makes her more liable to want to and to be able to cultivate a cult of personality around herself

We would need to take the action to debut Cassandra to the public, she's a relative unknown but this trait will need her pushed to the forefront for it to work. Also the action to socialize her to her peers, since she'll need to be able to fit in with the group in order to take it over. It would make it easier for her to declare someone as an enemy if the rest of the group will follow her lead, either Superman or a rival she gains.

Monkey See, Monkey Better than You: This is likely going to amp up Cassandra's arrogance and confidence a fair bit as her assurance in her own capabilities will spike. It's also liable to make Cassandra more likely to start watching people for skills/motions she'd like to have. As is Cassandra is unlikely to go watch pro skateboarders or master chefs at work or musical prodigies playing an instrument, but with this trait Cassandra would be a lot more interested in watching this as she could essentially take their skills for herself by observing them. This in turn would probably lead to Cassandra just being weirdly talented and accomplished at a wide variety of things because it costs her very little to gain those capabilities for herself.

This skill won't be too useful against mechanical opponents or anyone who shoots energy blasts from a distance. With that said it would be cool for her to have the power of Marvel's Taskmaster, just having her watch the Olympics on tv or any MMA program will give her little boosts over time.

I don't agree with some of your analysis. Here's what I think:

Memetic Me:

We don't need to debut Cassandra to make use of this trait. She can become a streamer or a VTuber for example. Cassandra is already capable of handling children and teens since we took action for that on turn 26. What we would need to do is to start developing her social platform, train her in acting (which is already something that we plan to do) and then debut her internet persona. After that, she will be capable of promoting things for us through her socials, be invited to events, and so on. This is not an angle that anyone else in the company can exploit, which makes it at least worth considering.

The downside is the action investment since most of these actions won't increase her stats and our child actions are limited, plus it would put us on a very specific path for the future. Some of the potential personality changes from this trait, such as her turning into a populist who looks down on "the masses" and builds some of her worldview on problematic social theories, can also be an issue to some.

The +1 to Diplomacy and the actual effect of the trait are cute bonuses but the real reason to choose this trait is for the additional actions that it opens and whether or not you want to commit to them.

Monkey See, Monkey Better Than You:

The problem isn't with Cassandra getting arrogant in every fight and she is already likely to have issues if someone beats her in a straight-up fight (and given her Martial + trait, that's very unlikely to happen). Robots aren't really relevant either. The problem is how much use we can make of this trait, as well as the potential personality changes.

This trait basically makes Cassandra auto-succeed on any action that revolves around motion and lowers the DC for actions that involve motion in some way. The thing is that most of these actions aren't necessarily ones that we would take (though if we hire tutors for stuff like art and martial arts for example, then they might take them for us) on top of potentially making Cassandra more arrogant from being convinced of her own superiority, though that's not a guaranteed outcome and it would stem from what we choose to do about it, much like with any other trait.

It will also give Cassandra bunch of passive skills and might give her more benefit from personal actions.

On a slightly personal note, I think that this trait is by far the most fun to write omakes for. Having Cassandra try a bunch of different things seems like a fun time.

Chi in DC is super weird. Batman is a master of Chi and can use it to do stuff like control his body temperature and gain superhuman focus. Kong Kenan, the Superman of China, became a Superman-tier being by absorbing Superman's Qi and gaining all of his abilities. In Young Justice Chi also gave Asami Koizumi some major straight-up superpowers.

This is a mystery box that can give benefits ranging from superhuman focus (boosts Learning), extrasensory abilities (boost Intrigue), make the user highly resistant to magic, phase through solid objects, teleport, and even manipulate matter to basically just being a little more than a concentration exercise. We don't know, but that chance is what makes this option interesting.

Narratively, Cassandra using an ability that theoretically any human can use and becoming effectively superhuman through that is very compelling as well.

It was confirmed in a past informational post to let users punch ghosts though, which is nice.

The disadvantage here, aside from it being a mystery box, is that it would require Cassandra to roll above 90 in a combat/harsh training situation to even discover Chi in the first place. If we hire a good martial arts tutor for her then I suspect that it will pop up sooner or later.

Hiring a martial arts teacher is one of the actions I'm in favor of in the first place.

Something I'd like to note, there's nothing stopping you from writing an omake of Cassandra trying stuff without the trait. Admittedly the trait makes it easier since it both justifies why Cassandra would want to try something and would let Cassandra reasonably master it, but you can just write the omake. Cassandra learning to skateboard or play the violin or learn to cook her own meals or any number of things can be an omake and don't require the trait.
 
Something worth considering for improving Cassandra's Stewardship, having her shadow Lex, a DC 0 action which will boost the stat and make her more prepared for other similar actions, theoretically might benefit from MS,MBTY considering it's literally an action about her following her father around and copying him.

As already mentioned Cassandra could easily manipulate people online without officially debuting and already knows how to control people in her peer group.

The biggest weakness of Memetic Me IMO is that we'd probably need to invest some time expanding Handshake if we want to get the absolute best use out of it especially if we want to avoid Kord starting their own social media platform.

To be fair I don't think it locks her into a specific path so much as it just makes her naturally talented at manipulating people online. She doesn't have to become a streamer or anything, she just knows how social media works and how to rile people up, reassure them or direct their anger through it.

We have twelve development actions left, if we decide to dedicate one or two of them towards stoking that talent then we still have plenty of room for growth elsewhere.

For me the fact that this is such an unknown makes it not worthwhile. Sure it could be all that stuff but it could easily just be a Martial boost.

And odds are if it does provide those things it'll be more action intensive to train them than either of the other options.
