@Kkutlord
1.6 score is insane. But it is not the same as long term loyalty or building anything close to relationships. Also, you must be insane thinking that Lex will even consider being with a woman who has learning below 20. Heperactive adrenaline addict who has no real interests besides that is certainly not Luthor's waifu material.

As for the team... You are trying to get their coop scores up this way, right? General successes seem to work just fine. If you do want to team them, think intrigue or learning. If I had to put them somewhere, I'd put them all in a "learn about military strategy" team.

We currently have 11 AP, due to getting 1.0 Coop with Carol this turn. That just leaves Ives (0.5), Katherine (0.7), and Rebecca (0.9) to reach 1.0 Coop with.

So that's another 3 AP to get, though getting 1.0 Coop with Ives will be difficult since all he wants to do is AMAZO which gets increasingly more difficult. Hmm, suppose he wouldn't be too against Learn Robotics / Cybernetics, so that's an option.

@King crimson: Ah, another Stat-related question, but would raising Ives' Stewardship actually make him more effective? The description says he goes overbudget and wastes resources, which I'm guessing contributes to AMAZO's DC score.

@King crimson: Does reaching 2.0 Cooperation Score do anything special? Lex + Roxanne is already at 1.6, which is also his highest Coop Score. Oh, and something I'm curious about...

Since boosting Stats does affect their characterization some, what happens if we boost Ives' Martial? Would that literally make him less likely to die, since his Martial 0 is described as a result of his illness?

Besides that... any good options for a Lex + Katherine + Rebecca action? Supergenius + Trained Soldier + Socialite Sorceress... Oh! Maybe we could have Rebecca use magic to supercharge a special version of the Animal AI + Learning System, with Katherine personally training the robo-golems?
In Ives case increasing martial would increase his proficiency with weapons and armor (part of why Mercy has such a high score is that she is an expert at using LexCorp's stuff). 2.0 cooperation score can trigger special events but it's not guaranteed. Roxanne is a hero unit whose cooperation score rapidly changes so retaining the high score is oftentimes harder than getting the high score.

Not really. What it does do is help mitigate potential catastrophic failures (if you get a significant failure Ivo is less likely to have wasted tons of resources in his quest for Amazo)

[ ] [Name] Future Construction

As good a name as any, and fitting if we are building things to last (and ahead of there times).

But considering we desire to be the Man of Tomorrow (opposed to Superman's Man of Tomorrow), and are in the City of Tomorrow...

[ ] [Name] Tomorrow Construction

Maybe a little too close to T.O.Morrow but I want to give another idea rather than just bandwagon.

Actually had another better idea (for a name) but I realised it would work better for the Earth 27 project... :wink2:

[X] [Nyssa] Turn Nyssa over to Ra's al Ghul

Soon we can wipe all these... disagreements away and together we can finally see the Light.

@King crimson: Is it safe to assume we'll have competitors trying to put out new phones soon? Regardless, I'm thinking Lex + Katherine + Rebecca assigned to Improve Phones would work well.

Cellphone King reduces the DC to -3, and even with their 0.7 & 0.9 Coop Score, Katherine & Rebecca wouldn't hinder things much. Besides, Katherine can help us make L-Phones more appealing in utility function, whereas Rebecca could help us make them unhackable.

Little write-in idea:

[] Study mythology
- What seemed like a useless bunch of superstitions created by primitive minds before, seems like a potentially useful source of information about magic now.

I am not a fan of going against common sense and trying to game the mechanics by going for the lowest score even when the team doesn't really fit storywise.

If you really want some multihero-megaproject then I suggest Carol(plane expertise)+Luthor(genius)+Katherine(weapons expert)+Rebecca(magic expert) to get a really kick-ass personal plane, which will be well-armed and protected against magic.

Also, I like the new name even if it is extremely unlikely to reverse the bandwagon.

I think we ought to shore up the signs of our influence in the police department next turn and solve, one way or another, the mayor bribing mess. We need to both cover our tracks quickly to preserve our benevolent reputation and set an example to introduce to a wider but select audience our ruthless reputation.

Hm! Is Ives against using information retrieved by other people? Like, if we personally do research on robotics separately and forward anything useful to AMAZO to him, would that possibly be something he might appreciate?

Alternatively, would he be pleased by gaining more access to useful exotic materials? If so, research on Kryptonite followed by kicking a half ton of it into his room might increase cooperation.

I feel like a good way to put giving him research done by other people would be to quote Edison;

In view of this immense amount of thought and labor, my sympathy got the better of my judgment, and I said: 'Isn't it a shame that with the tremendous amount of work you have done you haven't been able to get any results?' Edison turned on me like a flash, and with a smile replied: 'Results! Why, man, I have gotten a lot of results! I know several thousand things that won't work.'

And then to point out that he doesn't have the time to find all the things that won't work, and so if other people can do the brunt of the work finding all the things that definitely won't work, he can devote his far more valuable time to things that might?

Yes it is safe to assume that
Is it also safe to assume that we've patented everything we could possibly patent about our phones?

Yup. Lex isn't an idiot but eventually others will find their own ways to catch up with LexCorp and their phones if LexCorp doesn't keep improving. He has patented as much as he can but governments don't like monopolies so there will eventually be competition even if they have to use alternative methods to get to the same point.

@Ukrainian Ranger: Except we really need to do a Phone action, and Improve Phones is the best way to continue our domination of that market. We can make a kickass plane whenever, but putting out the L-Phone 2 next turn is super important.

For improving relationships with Ivo, should we really want to, I'd consider going Luthor+Ivo+Roxanne( in a role of a lab rat) for a whooping 30+30*0.5+6*1.6=55 bonus. The only problem that hitting less than 15 for beating 70 can backfire.

Another Ivo+Roxanne thing is assigning them both to cybernetycs, its DC seems low enough for Ivo to not kill her immediately

Yep. It can be a nice spot for Lex next turn. But Lex is capable of doing it alone. Katherine and Roxanne can do something that fits their specialty.

Also, if peace won't be achieved automatically, we'll have Lex on peace talks anyway. (I hope)

Aaaaaand now I have a action suggestion.

[]Establish a electronics retail outlet subsidiary.
-You have control of a significant portion of the electronic manufacturing industry, but at the end of the day you're somewhat vulnerable to the choices that the stores that sell your products make. Not to mention that the store makes a significant amount of the profit. But by excising the middlemen, you can expand your profits, secure your bottom line, and of course advertise any new Lexcorp products.

Vertical integration, AWAAAAAAAAAAY!

We can at least have Lex + Rebecca, since she barely detracts from his score and is just 0.1 off from 1.0 Coop. Having 12 AP is better than 11, and 13 is even greater given all the things we need to do. So still prefer Lex + Katherine + Rebecca for that precise reason.

I'm utterly opposed to letting Ives gut Roxanne for cybernetics experiments though, that's just... Gross and terrifying.

Rebecca's success in a separate action can give coop, too. Same for Katherine. I know learning is learning... but I am not a fan of assigning heroes to something that doesn't really fit their skillsets just to try to get +to coop on the lowest DC action possible.

How about a write up for studying demons (not sure how to put it) since we don't want to summon certain ones and a magician is bound to know more then Lex does (so we don't get trigon(doubt we summon him but may draw his attention) or any of ravens siblings or Klarion( (if we do go for it)

It learns like an advanced chess program does by compiling a record of failures and what works against certain actions learning over time as it aggregates more data. Basically the longer the program is set to a task it will keep optimizing within the range of options available to it until it basically does things optimally within the options presented to it. The more complicated the task and the more options the machine has the longer it will take to reach optimal performance.
So... like our Modern AI? Because that is how AI learn. They start out with a pretty random decision making process, and play. Those who do good ("what works") are kept and what don't are discarded (Of course, "do good" is probably "Get atleast a single point" at this point), with the "winners" being replicated and slightly tweaked.
Other than doing AI research and killing our father, what other operations could she know about that is illegal? We have the Pheromone spray but we haven't used it and only Lex, Pamela, and maybe Mercy knew it existed. We have a hidden ICBM, but Mercy and our security caught their assasins before they could infiltrate that deep into Lexcorp. Overall we have nothing to worry Uncle Sam about that Nyssa could have known because we lucked out on Security and Nyssa doesn't have agents that could have found the ICBM.
AI Research isn't illegal.
Cooperation score with Lex: 1.6
Damn, that's higher than Mercy, our right hand woman.

Why would it be illegal? It hasn't been a thing since the 60's, and then it was a Hero. They haven't had any reason to make it illegal.
Cloning isn't illegal but it is pretty known that you shouldn't mess with that, it is more the law hasn't caught up with advancement of technology. AI is like Cloning yet the subject is made of metal rather than biological cells. An entirely robotic army that can be run by an AI is pretty bad for public image if movies like Terminator is released. Even if it isn't illegal, people will have the idea of "what if the robots turn against us?" at the back of their mind and lose a bit of trust in us.

PR is completely separate from Legality. The general public being weary of a thing is unrelated to us getting in legal trouble for doing te thing. What's more, the Government probably WOULDN'T get us in trouble. Your average joe schmoe might not like the idea of a robot army, but the Military loves that idea. The perfect soldier that you can just mass produce? No general would turn those away.

That's if we doing it behind closed doors and being too openly ambitious of the AI project. Take IBM's Watson and Deepblue for example, they are super advanced experiment into AI but presently we have not much attention to their potential for destruction. The key is always public reception, we shape the narrative by emphasis on parts that shows their niche use and actively promote them as mere more advanced helper like robo stock advisor.
