And frankly, there's little point in that. We already have better music AoE. If want aoe qi recovery WEC is obscene. If we want summons (and I'd argue we do) then an art that's actually summon focused would be much stronger than AE's half-assed worms.
And then we can even get a better aesthetic as well!
(we were just talking FSS in Discord. We have 38 dice on HC - 43 with flying sword. Against late yellows we have 4 autos. It has 6 AP and 1 bonus damage now. Late Yellow's typically have mid-20s defense. We can reliably oneshot them with it. WEC in the second round can also reliably hit for full DV. We could be attacked by 10 late yellows, and then wipe out half their health in one shot while recovering ~50 qi. It's obscene)

Righto. Because AE totally isn't a summon focused art.
It isn't. It only has 1 tech for summons, and none of its passives help them.
And then if we look at Voraciousness, we see that the point of the worms is really to support that tech. The worms are a supplement to the qi eating AoE that is the focus of the art.

Actually the familial ritual never had any talent upgrading effect, and she performed it perfectly.
The whole point of it is to train your mental state and endurance beyond comprehention!
The actual reason Xilian arm issue will "be healed when I reach Steel" is because by that point it won't even matter that she has an arm that's continuously burning.

The direct intervention option does not appeal to me at all in its phrasing. "One way or the other" is an incredibly lazy euphemism for "actually, thinking about this is hard, let's just punch him" and it's mildly offensive for its flimsy pretense at ambivalence.
Cai isn't my preferred option, but at least there's some value in talking to somehow who even recognizes diplomacy as a thing that exists. Sorry Meizhen, but you're not great at operating in the frame of reference we will find ourselves in.
