Naw, a good one, rather than a power trip, would require inserting into an at least interstellar setting, like any Space Age super robot series or maybe TTGL. OR have most of their stuff exploded by the transition(leaving Koujirou with a rather under-dressed Anna in finest harem anime traditions)
Alternatively you could insert Anna into a setting where most of the antagonists are human (ideally also sympathetic to some degree) and let her natural aversion to harming humans drive the conflict rather than the strength of her enemies. I've always been of the opinion that the best part of this quest is Anna trying to awkwardly fit into regular life/society rather than the looming threat of the antagonists, so a story of Anna stuck in a world where she not only has to do that, but also deal with being in a setting where she's strong enough to set herself up as a "Big Good" in the vein of Superman or All Might... I would happily give that a read.

What, like a practice spar or in a sim? The former still have the issue that Anna refuses to do it, the latter have the issue that they can't do most of the higher trick since it'll break the sim.

More like a practice spar, so she could show off those tricks. The idea would be that since it would help better train them against antagonists she'd be willing to do it, though I admit it might still be a tough sell.

At first I read what you said as 'Antagonists' and I was imagining them being in humanoid form, and how badly and conflicted Anna would act. As for what you're actually proposing... I don't know. I think she could set herself up as a 'Big Good' type character, but she'd need a lot of therapy first. She still has some pretty severe issues and when one of the cadets showed a lack of consideration for human life in a sim, she was going to try killing them until the others got that cadet to realize they were wrong. She cares a lot about human life, but she's willing to kill some humans to protect others, as horrible as that makes her feel. I agree that seeing Anna in another, less powerful setting, would be interesting.

Yeahhhh, until we manage to unscrew Anna's head, she doesn't think shooting to spar and shooting to kill is any different.

They already are. The Type-0s are all humanoid.

Ehhhh, she's not exactly willing per se. Her decision making goes something like "Are you threatening human lives?" > If yes, you're a threat > Eliminate threats. And the only threat elimination method she accepts is killing them.

More like she cant help practice with fighting back because real practice with her fighting back would be aiming to kill them all, aka she doesn't want to give them a shitty training experience in that matter because it might mess them up when their doing it for real.

Basically a One-Punch Man or Superman situation were the tension is not driven by the physical confrontation but by the character drama. Yeah that would work, because Anna is one giant ball of trauma and she can make any problem stop being a problem in a physical confrontation. So maybe send her to a comedy series world or shojo world, she'll be awkward but she'll get help?

Send her to a universe where she can get all the hugs.

Alright, stumbled across this a couple months ago, but didnt want to necro. Now that someone else has done it for me.....
Just wanted to say thank you @Avalanche for the entertainment. Some pretty high quality writing here, and engaging characterization.
Especially fond of the interludes with outside characters commenting on the official story.

Pretty much the crux of the issue yeah.
Tossing her into TTGL would be fun.
Tossing her into most Gundams would be hmm...Peace Through Superior Firepower probably, she outguns everything, but the root problem is people being less than awesome at each other.
Tossing her into MGLN would be...hmm, lots of warm and fluff in between being a living superweapon?

Solving things with gun in Gundam feels rather disrespectful to the core of that series. Solving a lot of the economic shortages which exist in that verse would be a more to theme resolution.

More like just escalate the problems.
As people with overbloated egos and hate/justice boners seem to make up most of those settings ruling bodies.
Exactly, I think the typical Gundam plot is pretty much that technological solutions only escalate the problem. Nuclear reactors solve power shortages and immediately get put into portable killing machines and superweapons by the powers that be. AI go into targeting systems. Solar arrays and industries invite terrorist action to disadvantage rivals, and ultimately the only peace that can be bought is by the greatest guns in the hands of those with no desire to wield it and strong enough to keep it from those unworthy.

Anna would not be happy about it at all of course, but then neither is the typical Gundam protagonist.
I'm pretty sure Anna has at least one of everything in her storage, or can rapidly disassemble nearby things into the raw components to make them.
Better yet, Setsuna kept the girls uniform he wore in episode one and flung it at him.
