Durga, this is where you reveal that you've been brute forcing and reverse-engineering a successful emulation of Anna's parents based on their behavioral profiles and the sensor data you took off of their corpses while Anna was burying them. Right?

My friends and I joke that I am a tremendous bully when it comes to characters, but contemplating the idea that Durga, as quasi-sophont as she is due to being linked so long-term with Anna, would basically brute-force hack Anna's brain to try and dredge up memories that had been blanked due to traumatic brain injuries (Which Anna's admitted to having in the past), didn't sit right with me.

So, of course, my tremendous bullying was limited to the whole 'She remembers the faces, but not the names or relationship she once had'. Admittedly, that'd probably be more-suited to a -2 or -3 world, because Anna's fairly on the ball instead of being unhinged, but there's been implications of gaps in important memories as far back as her very early childhood.

Also, there's the whole 'She hasn't had time to even start coming to grips with her grief'. She spent so long fighting, trying desperately to protect her hometown, that her time in the Perth Arcology's pretty much been the first time since she was 8 where she could sit down and have a proper cry.

Type 2 Bohr/Einstein Exotic Wave Force projection"
Does Type 2 here means a second type or Type 2 as in the AG?
The former means someone have Type 1 Wave Force, the latter means eating T2 (theoretically) would give us interesting result.

Abraxes(sp?) exotic principle weapon could be the first.

I mean looking at the total post history it sure looks like this quest is going through some death spasms.

@Avalanche
I honestly think you should just pull the plug on this quest and write something that interests you more.

Or can I throw money at you to get more updates?

Jokes about shitty isekai parody quest aside, I don't really have anything else I'm interested in writing.

Having money thrown at me would be great, but unless I can make enough to essentially replace my full time job, that's not going to happen to result in faster updates really. I also don't think I will update fast enough irregardless, so I'd rather not take people's money for it.

The jokes and the slow burn will continue, then.

(I actually have a semi-outline for a nice omake... but my writing speed is worse than Avalanche's. Seriously. I don't get how people write updates larger than 1k words.)

I have a question about the setting, if you're okay with answering it:
In one of your ANs, you stayed that higgs generators installed in valkyrie frames typically result in some severe size issues, because higgs generators cannot be stored inside of a valcore's storage space.
I was wondering, is it literally that they cannot be placed inside of a storage space, or just that they do not function inside of a storage space?

Based on my interpretation of previous WoG, no.

If I'm reading the WoG correctly, because Storage is an Impeller-related effect, it doesn't interact well with Higgs-based effects like Simulators (and Higgs Generators).

Yeah, but, like, if the generator isn't running at the moment...shouldn't it be just like any other piece of inert material shoved into the storage?

Higgs generator generates Higgs, not fueled by Higgs. Considering how bullshit Higgs are, you'd want anything producing it running as long and often as you can while storing the excess.

In fact, you're probably thinking of Higgs Reactor, which Anna have and stores away when not in use.

Something I haven't explored too closely, but right now my thoughts on it are that placing them inside storage breaks them, and storage cannot repair them once broken.

Makes sense if you think about it. They function on weird exotic principles, which require precise engineering to create a self-sustaining Higgs generator. Altering the structure (such as storing in a Valk's core) breaks the Higgs generation, which means it is no olnger self-sustaining. Pretty much like a Internal Combustion Engine. You need an external factor to get the engine to begin burning fuel, but an interruption means you'd need to restart. Storing in the Valk's Core is like dismantling that engine, and then welding it back together when you pull it out and expecting it to still work.

So in other words, anyone who properly integrates a higgs generator into their frame has to keep their frame permanently extended.
Well, makes sense that it's not a problem for arcologies or battleships, then.

Edit: waitaminute, doesn't the process of integrating something into a valkyrie frame normally require putting that thing into your storage space?
Huh. Does that mean higgs generators aren't 'officially' integrated into the valkyrie frame?
