Okay I'm getting annoyed that I don't particularly know what/how people in BAHHSCQ swear by/with/etc. Maybe that's a good thing. Keeps exclamations of surprise nice and diverse.

Other news: I'm watching Acie weave itself into cohesion before my eyes and it's beautiful. I think/hope.

... I think it's leftover trauma from reading too much bad Naruto/etc fanfiction during my earlier years... and short/bad worm fanfiction more recently. "look at me, I can do this, I can do this other thing!" "Wow, such doge, much amaze!" etc. etc. etc. Then instant abandon... or 100k of garbage, take your pick. Makes me want to murder a rabbit.

If I wrote one I'd just try to have Ace Combat Zero in mind. Dunno if it would help in your case though.
 
Hoy! Random question. Do people want to see Yukari murderize some AGs, or should I just focus on getting this done? As of earlier today I'd decided I was going to have Yukari fight a *censored* but then I realized she'd get destroyed based on how I characterized *censored* earlier, so I could either write the extra scene or just leave it out.

Apart from that this is going very, very well... I think.
 
I mean, if I were writing Yukari, I'd have her fight a simulated *censored*, both because that's the kind of thing she'd do if she wasn't able to fight it for real, and also because it lets you nerf the *censored* so that she doesn't instantly explode.

But I'm thinking that wouldn't fit in your omake, so I would suggest you write whatever you feel confident you can finish.

It's a timeframe thing, not a can or cannot thing. And you're definitely right about the simulated thing... except it would still pwn her... ehehe...

Well we're not doing that Yukari fight scene, because holy shit I think I just nailed the hardest scene in this whole thing. If that came out as well as I think it did then we're all set. Hot damn. Shit where's my todo list?

TODO:
- Look into balancing social? ATM very bottom heavy, probably stuck that way since it's not a multichapter or anything and there's two whole scenes of social after all the fighting. But can at least intersperse social of some kind w/ battle to reduce feeling like its 2 separate things.
- General edit of fight scene. Already did a bit on that but got caught up with the social. Details, justifications, etc etc.
- Shift some sections' tenses.
- Add angst to amplify effects of social
- Edit "epilogue" I wouldn't call it an epilogue its 2k+ words and doesn't read like an epilogue.
- Beta

In terms of betas, anybody want to sign up for that. WTB people who are good at social, because that's the selling point, in the end, and it's also the hard part for me. Apparently I can write fight scene like nobody's business... I think. Try to keep number low, 3 at most? Dark as Silver b/c of earlier help is probably 1. And senpai gets an extra copy if he wants one because, well, senpai. *gets stars in eyes* senpai as a beta... *falls over* maybe not maybe I should keep it a surprise for him, might motivate better? *gets stars in eyes again* motivated senpai = Anna... *falls over*

Also: 13k and fluctuating.

Also, Neuroi Quest is supposed to return (sometime) soon(tm) if Chimeraguard gets sufficient time available. So probably sometime in the summer.
Theoretically.

Yukari got a minor fight scene because it was easier than dealing with the one annoying paragraph that was getting on my nerves.

I'm calling it beta-ready. I didn't end up particularly adding some of the stuff I was thinking about, at least not yet, but that's entirely because I'm pretty much fucking satisfied with what I've got. I did a shitload of work on the Yukari stuff and I think it really works a lot better now... It's enough that I'd be confident posting it, which is my personal standard for... well, this, I guess. We're hovering just under 14k words, up from 13k after the Yukari reworks.

Oh dear god, i remember that. First time I read your work. It was a frankly terrifying piece of writing. Couldn't get it out of my mind for days.

God that was a long time ago. Hah. That was when this all started. Back then it was... Bellum Gloriae, then Bellum Contra Infernum. Pah. Three words? Ridiculous. Titles are two words.

Then I ditched it for... Well it just didn't happen, because I had no clue how to write what I wanted to write. Like, I knew the ending... and the start... but I didn't have any clue how to get from point A to point B. In all fairness, that ended up taking 14k words.

If all goes well, I will post by/on Friday. If all does not go well, I'll say so on profile, but I suspect it will. I have finals on wednesday and thursday which might be a bit awkward, but...

But I locked myself in my dorm and edited for hours on end last week and by Dakka I will do it again Friday if I need to, because we, thread + me + senpai, have waited way too damn long for this.

Now, one last thing... Because I finally opened this up over the weekend and then all of a sudden this hit me in the face... This wasn't intentional, it just happened. I didn't rename a character or anything, it's like she just barged in and decided to make ADVENT her bitch rue the day they tried to be the AGs.
