It'd be a Type-Zero. It come with top-tier weaponry, just not the extra-special "FUCK YOU!!" extras.

And you'll note that its months for Types, and years for the weaker ones. Do you really think that a Type-Zero specialized in such a thing wouldn't be significantly faster? :V

Because WoA is Higgs reactor can't be regen'd and that would definitely be the first thing they'd looted once it go down. :V
If they do come up with it, then it'll be for something very specialized that they eon't deploy to the front like an orbit launch denial or the human form AG. :V

It's a Type-Zero specializing in regeneration. Of course it'd have the ability to regenerate Higgs Reactors. Booby-trapped ones at that. :V

MAJ Han: "The hell you asking me for? Uh, sleeping, companionship, uh, I don't bloody know, sex-?"

SPC White: "Sex?"

SPC Ng: "Yeah dude. Sex. Like, sleeping with. Banging. Watching like, Webflix together. Doing the horizontal-"

SPC White: "I know what sex is you fuckbucket, but what- you mean- the UN made us horny for AGs?"

SPC Krauss: "Shinies can regenerate. Imagine a piece of one trying to regrow from inside of you, eating you-"

SPC Ng: "Okaaaaay, like enough! Back to the subject of eating- you gonna take the soup, kid?"

This is probably what future combat looks like. All the fancy gear and Comms in the world. And the food still sucks and people stand around most of the time. Minus the brief moments of absolute terror.
 
A Type Zero has BLACK BOX vital systems, many redundancies and enough firepower to Sink Australia alone. There is a reason why Anna fuck you beam is considered an acceptable level of collateral damage against a high level Antagonist.

Granted they actually have not seen a Type Zero sink Australia, but that's the theorized power of a type Zero specialized in destruction.

It has been theorized the only reason humanity is still standing is because the Antagonist is holdind back rhe realky big guns to not create a "meteorite who killed the dinosaurs" scenario.

But that's inevitable that most of Earth will become a wasteland.

Hence Arcologies.

Lets take an example, the 'Ant' laser anti-air High Level Antagonists that you kicked the crap out of in the first sim you participated in. They are structured similarly to giant millipedes with laser ports all over, and each segment of the body is -given enough time- capable of restoring the entire platform to full power. You, Shuri and Sandra only damaged a few to the point of complete destruction, but every single one was put quite thoroughly out of commission combat wise.

A higher power example. Type 5. It has two 'Restoration points' which include enough vital systems so as to be able to reconstruct the entire frame within the wings. So yes, if you cut a Type 5 in half without damaging those core systems, you'd eventually have two Type 5s crawl out of the dirt, each of them capable of binary fission too.

So why doesn't this happen all over the place? Firstly, most High Level AGs have, at best, one single 'restoration point' -often called the 'core'- present, so they can't fission. Secondly, it takes ages to restore all the destroyed bits, months minimum for a Type and maybe years for weaker AG types. Lastly AGs are largely combat ineffective whilst regenerating, since you know, they're missing lots of bits and bobs.

The Breaches create Types and other High Level AGs much faster than leaving a whole bunch around cut to pieces regenerating would increase their forces and that doesn't decrease their combat ready reserves at that.

Now that makes them sound easy to destroy, aim for their 'core', move on. Not quite that simple, whilst destroying those vital systems will prevent a High Level AGs from ever being able to self repair to full effectiveness, it does not exclude the possibility that they return and repair at an AG Fort or Breach. Nor does it necessarily render them combat ineffective, Types especially can fight on even with many systems -many somewhat inaccurately labeled vital- destroyed.

Now sure, cut off a piece of a High Level AG and there'll be enough Nano-carbon-quantum-machines still active inside of it for it to wriggle around, but such pieces will not reanimate and it dies as it runs out of power. Even if you keep feeding it power, nothing will change.

This, of course, totally means that some of those spooks the soldiers spoke about must have kept feeding the Antagonist pieces like that to try it out. Maybe water them like flowers too for maximum science, just to be sure.

Although Class A T0 (Kronos to be specific) do have the ability to turn a rather large area (an entire FOB) to a pool of white-hot lava within minutes (no further details but can be assumed that it's within an hour at most).

Probably more like ten minutes. Any longer and saying "in minutes" wouldn't be the correct connotation.
Though the question is whether Kronos's base-slagging weapon can sustain that for long enough to turn Australia into a wasteland. We do know that Type-0s can Higgs Boost indefinitely, letting them finish off their destruction by outrunning the Valk kill squads that just showed up.

Way less than "Meteor that kills dinosaurs" that's suposed to be one of the Antagonists BIG weapons.

After all Type Zeros are still quite small. If the Antagonists do have ships bigger than Arcolgies then the only reason they are holding back is because they don't want to nuke the planet.

Also, it makes sence to protect the vital components black boxes as that not only would make Type Zeros harder to kill, its solution to "Cannot regenerate certain parts."

Only of course, it would be something saved to their big guns.

Thankfully, the Antagonist probably won't use the big ships inside a planet Atmosphere.

Some of the stuff Pink says makes no sense whatsoever -- I remember getting into an argument with him a couple hundred pages back when he claimed it was illegal for Anna to have been fighting off the AGs that were attacking her town pre-story. Yes, I know exactly how strange that sounds. Yes, it really happened.
