Attempting to Fulfill the Plan MNKh Edition

[]Norilsk Combine: The processing of Nickel and Palladium fulfills a critical domestic need in the case of war with the Capitalists. Large sections of our industrial production require these metals, from catalyzed processes to alloying, necessitating their mining in large quantities. However, the issue is that the deposit is fairly far north, necessitating large quantities of cold weather equipment to work it effectively. (20 Resources per dice (0/200))

Is something to keep an eye on, so that we don't start it next turn, when we'll have winter again. But it sounds like something we should tackle soon-ish.

That said, for now:

Infrastructure (6 Dice)
-[X] Stalingrad Hydroelectric Station

--6 Infrastructure dice
-[X] Power Line Construction(Stage 1)
--1 free die
Heavy Industry (6 Dice)
-[X] Norilsk Combine

--4 Heavy Industry dice
-[X] Novokuznetsk Iron and Steel Plant
--2 Heavy Industry die, 2 Free dice
Light and Chemical Industry (5 Dice)
-[X] Baku Oil Refineries(Stage 3)
--4 Light and Chemical Industry dice
Agriculture (5 Dice)
-[X]Start of Seed Irradiation
--1 Agriculture die
Services (5 Dice)
-[X] Expansion of the Schooling Programs(Stage 1)

--1 Services die
-[X] Creation of new Polytechnic Universities(Stage 2)
--1 Services die
Bureaucracy (2 Dice)
-[X]Requisition more resources

--2 Bureaucracy dice
Conditional on success of Bureaucracy action:
Light and Chemical Industry (1 Dice Remaining)
-[X] Radio Plants

--1 Light and Chemical Industry dice, 1 Free die
Agriculture (4 Dice Remaining)
-[X] Creation of Central Mechanism Storages(Stage 1)
--4 Agriculture die
Services (3 Dice Remaining)
-[X] Creation of the State Hospital System(Stage 2)

--2 Services dice
-[X] Creation of new Polytechnic Universities(Stage 2)
--1 additional Services dice
Total cost: 495 (empties reserve, leaves 30 Resources out of requisitioned 200)

The "Why So Serious" plan, charging headlong at targets. As we're at 60 Party Support right now, I don't think that sending 25 down to get more resources is unreasonable - particularly if no other Actions that lower Party Support are taken, and up to 10 Party Support would be recovered by next turn.
Plan puts a big dent into Stalingrad Hydro, and hopefully finishes Norilsk and Novokuznetsk. Magnitogorsk and Zlatoust can wait until winter - these are already established, next round of expansion shouldn't look like Frostpunk (so much).

For the next turn, there would be all the oil industry for (relatively) cheap Party Support, Magnitogorsk and Zlatoust to sink heavy industry dice into, Nikolaev for 1-2 Infrastructure dice (And bitumen roads for another relatively safe Infrastructure project, as Stage 1 takes place within and/or near cities).
Trans-Siberian is left for the turn after the next, as on the next turn it would be possible to finish Novokuznetsk if it isn't done this turn.

Basically the same plan but replaces Coal Liquefaction with 3 dice on Oil extraction. It will actually help us hit the MFPG target.

*sigh* Fine, fine, since you people are all so intent on sabotaging the Union's technological progress. :V

Apparently, we have more oil than we can use anytime soon. So Baku Oil extraction isn't actually needed. So do people want me to change it to something else? The alternative is putting 1 dice into Bakelite production.

Meh, sounds good to me.

Again the same plan but with Bakelite this time. It's useful for further electrification, radios etc. So we need it too.

For all the good news though, there are still masses of children unable to access a school for all the good news, necessitating yet further construction to ensure a steady stream of educated personnel.
A duplicated bit in the text.

"A school for all the good news" sounds like an awesome slogan, though! :D

Why the fuck are people voting for coal liquification? For industrializing, that is to say for our purposes, coal is every bit as useful as oil. And if we need more actual oil, increasing production in Baku is way more efficient.

What are the plans without coal liquifaction?

We are currently swimming in way more oil and oil products than we could ever hope to use at the moment, we don't need yet MORE oil production. The coal liquefaction isn't supposed to be an economic benefit, it does in fact say right in the description that it'll be useless. What it does do is give us practical, hands-on experience working with fancy organic chemistry domestically outside of an explosives factory. Baby chemical engineers should not be sent straight to playing with ANFO, they should go do something harmless like playing with coal instead so they can't blow up half the city

If we want a domestic chemical industry, Blackstar has outright said that the coal liquefaction is NOT useless it's a gateway tech to developing domestic experience with organic chemistry. That's why I'm choosing it, because it puts us on the road to a domestic chemical industry that we don't have to pay 40 resources/die to import foreign expertise and tools for.

And I'm not prioritizing that because fulfilling our immediate FYP goals is more critical at the moment. More oil is of no use to us now, but bakelite, as an industrial plastic, is.
