....Man Lucien becoming very popular overnight. Vale, North and people of Kingslanding and Dragonstone loving him. Scary on its own. Not even mentioning the Riverlands and Westerlands wanting to get close to Lucien.

Nope, sorry, but that ain't happening. You are too young and too much of an unknown at this point to even be considered.
He also sent a lot of Maegor supporters to the Wall early in his reign. So many that they mutinied and in the ensuing fight killed I think the borther or uncle of the current Lord Stark.
And then the New Gift fiasco for a double whammy.
At this point we have the crown lands, vale, and north on our side. If we somehow get a marriage betrothal to the west or riverlands, than we are the kingmaker, not question. Its actually funny how a bastard is deciding who to be king, and everyone who realizes it starts kissing our ass to get support. We definitely deserve the title Kingmaker over criston cole.

Doubt we'd win yeah. Too young and unknown but in the future....Who knows?
Also got to consider the influence the other Targs and Velaryons have. Viserys got Arryns through his wife. Rhaenys the Stormlands from her mother being a Baratheon. Daemon with the Royce through wife. Lucien with the North if we go visit. Everyone else is up for grabs.

Yes… though with one key difference. The council is being held this year, and this will be the old kings final hurrah.
Basically it's on a clock right now to secure succession.

I mean, it's not like her sons have never set foot in Westeros before coming to the Council. And that before she left she was widely known as a tramp.

Which is ridiculous as her kids have never come here and she was a spoiled brat in her youth.
I mean. She has how many bastards that probably see themselves more Essos than Westeros including her? I'd be very surprised if she didn't own slaves? Oh can't forget her reputation and no dragons in her family line.

Now I wonder, what's the worst possible outcome of the council, who could be named heir that would really throw a wrench into the proverbial machine?
Lucien will be discounted as a bastard and even if he wasn't, he is the son of the youngest child. Daemon is more pallable than canon but will probably be passed over as he has a elder brothrr. Laenor or Rhaenys are what has the best likelihood for table has been flipped. Either of them would also set the precedent that inheritance can go through female lines which is what was ruled out when laenor got passed over for viserys. Rhaenys would be more radical for understandable reasons. Then there is the fact that Rhaenys is a actual competent person and laenor is ten right now which means a regency.
