Well, I finally helped to make a vote about economics. I am happy, because finally living in a country where we do everything wrong helps me to give a perspective about how hward we can screw this up and react accordingly.

@DragonParadox, I have a question regarding the currency destruction scheme and Living Brass in general.
If we purify a stockpile of Living Brass in preparation for using it to make more Warforged, could we say that it wouldn't resonate with unpurified Living Brass when the time comes to implement the currency destruction scheme? My take on this is that once it's purified, it's supposed to grow, right? So the soul fragments basically heal themselves and merge into something new. So once that takes place, the dangers of it being destroyed by the Merling King sacrifice could be drastically reduced?

Speaking of that scheme, we need to talk to the Sultan and Sultana about that sometime during the Conference. Everyone involved in that meeting should also be Mind Blank'd, in addition to all of our other precautions.
I've been busy, and you also mostly have that covered. I haven't found any big thing to criticize, and I recongnize my own bias towards state-run economies. Not because I'm conservative by any means, but because we have been messing everything up against and again since we started as a country here. We are a totalitarian state in this quest, and I find it hard to not go into "Don't get so much economic power because you will mess it up and everybody will suffer for your fault".
But, when it comes to monetary policy, that's when I get more emotional. I've lived through a davastating bank run already, inflation of two digits during most of my life, seen the collapse of fixed echanged rates, and seen how floating exchange rates can be used to create unstability for political means. I know of these dangers far more than I know of trade and production, and I don't want this to happen here.

[X] Plan Without A Name
-[X] The Iron Bank can charge a service fee from the persons wishing to exchange money of:
--[X] 5% for sums up to an equivalent of 1,000 Imperial Marks
--[X] 3% for sums up to an equivalent of 10,000 Imperial Marks
--[X] 1% for sums up to an equivalent of 50,000 Imperial Marks
--[X] 0.5% for sums above that
-[X] It shall be proposed that the Iron Bank will not be able to concede loans for one in two Imperial Marks in his possession, so as to limit money replication, potential devaluation and speculation schemes, effectively setting the Reserve Requirement at 50% (at worst, and in an economy where all money is deposited in banks, it multiplies the existing money by 2. If we didn't have it, the multiplication could potentially scale to infinite.) No. of Votes: 13

The conversation continued in the same vein for quite a while, revealing among other things that Tyene Sand had partnered with the King in several ventures, and that his daughter would not be adverse to some day following in her footsteps by owning a 'company' of her own.
Lady Royce: "What is the matter dear? You look worried."
Yohn: "Ysilla."
Lady Royce: "She wasn't hurt, was she? Is she frightened by that strange wizardry?"
Yohn: "No. Just... I've got the feeling she has developed some strange interests."
Lady Royce: *gasps* "Is she consorting with fiends?"
Yohn: "No, it's that weird thing the King calls 'Capitalism'."
Lady Royce: "That sounds not quite so bad. For a moment I thought she had made friends with a demon or something."
Yohn: "That too, but she is a rather reasonable lady."
Lady Royce:
Yohn: "Relax, wife. I am assured by the King that the pull of the primordial Abyss has no hold over her any longer. I am assured of this."
Lady Royce: "That's... that's good?"
Yohn: "No. It's quite Evil, still. But at least no more evil than that lawyer of his."
The contract on which you cosign your agreement with the Iron Bank is an unassuming thing, its language spare and dry as the Dornish desert, only the numbers involved giving any sign of the momentous nature of the hour. It will still need to be signed by many more Keyholders than Lady Uraka and the Sealord, but like a proverbial boulder rolling down hill you rather doubt this agreement can be stopped. After all, why would any Braavosi wish to stop it when the boulder is not stone but gold?
The Iron Bank can charge a service fee from the persons wishing to exchange money of:
5% for sums up to an equivalent of 1,000 Imperial Marks
3% for sums up to an equivalent of 10,000 Imperial Marks
1% for sums up to an equivalent of 50,000 Imperial Marks
0.5% for sums above that

Thus with one final clink of wine goblets you rise from your seat, followed by Garin who returned for the evening from his investigations in the Tyroshi hinterlands. "I think I will take a few days to return to Braavos together with Wyla next month. We both have some unfinished business there."
"Long past time your unjust exile ran its course, but..." you trail off, considering the implications of such a return.
"I won't do anything too public of course, just get the House assets under more direct control and offer a few gentle reminders to any who might be foolish enough to try and do us harm. Once we are settled again the word of a Drekelis will carry some weight in convincing the more cautious Keyholders that this is no lotus dream."
"And a show of magic from both of you will go a long way to reassuring many of those involved that there is old Braavosi blood in the 'arcane councils of the Dragon King'," you finish, satisfied at the reasoning.
"There will be quite a few Keyholders who will be looking for a more direct path into your good graces once they feel which way the wind is blowing," Garin warns with a smile.
You shudder dramatically at the memory of unctuous magisters trying to bribe you into allowing all manner of privileges. Most Braavosi would be far more subtle in such advances but still... "Suggest that they send their children to the Scholarum, their competent relatives to work in the administration or the Legion. That way we shall all benefit in the long run."

As the hours pass the conclave continues to be just as fruitful for the Djinn and Shaitan, at least to judge from Sultan Zafer's ever more boisterous good cheer which manifests as a brief rainstorm crowned with half-a-dozen rainbows. Though he stays well clear of the Djinn, Zherys takes advantage of the good cheer to cut deals with the Shaitans for azer miners and engineers, freed on arrival of course. He means to shore up and reopen old iron and silver mines in the old Rhoynar lands as well as build up whole new port towns from the ground up along the Rhoyne.
By contrast Relath seems to have set aside the affairs of state for a moment as he does his best to woo the captain of the Windbows with his wit, charm, and skill in the air. At first you thought she was merely humoring him, but after a while you begin to see him making some headway on the strength of his tales of battle and heroism.
"Odd how he presents his mass manumission in such an altruistic light," Dany giggles as you pass the two deep in conversation.

OOC: I was honestly expecting Relath to strike out, but he rolled really well. It is very unlikely to turn into anything long term, but depending on further rolls I may have to figure out what sort of child results from the union of a Djinn and a Brine Dragon.
Languages Spoken: Aquan, Common, Draconic, Elven, Low Valyrian (Tolosi)
Description: A blue-green neck frill sweeps back from the head of this large dragon, leading to a body of shiny scales and fin-like crests. Relath the Roiling Tempest is one who has caused you much irritation and anger in the past, but now through the ritual duel of dragonkind he is yours to command.
