@DragonParadox serious question, what resources or aid does lord Brune have for his excavation, has he explained/shown in depth into what he has found? I have no doubt that he's poked the tritons for advice, but would financing support from the Djinn and Shiatan be possible/helpful?

As in dropping money in front of him and letting him do what he wants with it (so as to keep to the terms of the truce with the mindlfayers)

The reason is that if we do poke there, to make sure that his people aren't being warped my mindflayers, and they are, that would get... annoying, with the whole "do not kill because of truce thing"

If we drop some money, and Brune uses it to get advice and support, well. Then it not our fault if some mercenaries, that someone that wasn't us hired, kills some monsters, is it now?

@Goldfish, according to DP, Relath managed to advance by one level in Sorcerer over this personal study alongside the Slaver's Bay action.

@DragonParadox Why did Relath not mention this? That's like the hard part done! All he has to do now is murderhobo!

  1. The excavations are beneath the notice or interest of genie royals, though you can of course use your own money
  2. He did it just did not show up in the update explicitly

It's not exactly offing the Avatar of a Dragon Goddess, or an Archduke of Hell, or bending reality to our will in order to shift the Shadow Tower into its own demiplane, but this conference is one of the most awesome things we've done so far in the quest, as far as I'm concerned.

The scale of it, involving rulers and other VIPs from around the world, along with the de facto rulers of both the Plane of Air and Plane of Earth, is just incredible.

Thanks again, @DragonParadox, for running such an awesome quest, and to everyone else who contributes to it.

@DragonParadox, are the Planeshift redirection effects something we can learn about from any old enchanter or something we should speak about with the Sultan and Sultana?

We really need a way to stop people from arriving in the middle of the ocean half the time.

So how about we call some minor weaker-than-Glyra devils' next month.

Put Daenerys and Glyra on tweaking the Hell-to-Native ritual, to work on fiends other than Erinyes. Then watch as Glyra tricks them into doing good deeds.

Also imagine if each Gremlin gets a squad of minor devils. :ogles:

@zxzx24 you in? :tongue:

@Tomcost glad Relath atleast does his thing, we really need to allocate some days a month for True Dragon Viserys and his flight of Grog Dragons. Adventure awaits at every pub stop!

@DragonParadox would Varys count as somekind of pseudo sibling / child to Viserys dragonblood? Technically a dragonlord. :V

Amusing, but probably too much of a bother. Erinyes are angel who fell because they thought the good guys pussies for not fighting the Abyss hard enough. Most Devils are simply assholes who like suffering far too much to be redeemed under normal circumstances.

[X] Hold a feast, putting special emphasis to feature a variety of dishes from around the world. Breaking out a little of the Dawn Mead for the discerning eye, or Tyroshi brandy and Volantene red shouldn't go amiss. And the Shaitan have a clear love for Dornish vintages.
-[X] Discuss the Living Brass scheme, and as this ties quite closely with the other topic of discussion, the war against the Brazen Throne.

In that case I'm thinking Message for the Cantrip, and Dispel Magic for the level 3 spell.
There are many great options here.

Blasting is obviously useless, but anything else goes.
Dispel is great, but will suffer from his low CL. A Wand with minimal CL and the spell would only be 1 level lower. Almost no difference. And Relath can certainly afford a few of those.

Blink or Displacement would make him harder to kill.
Ferocity of Sanguine Rage or Haste would make him more blendery in melee.
Alter Fortune could save his ass if he fights against something dangerous and fails a save.

EDIT: To my understanding, this level Relath gets one 1st level spell, one 2nd level spell, and one 3rd level spell.

I agree with Artemis on this one. Dispel Magic is great, but Relath is really a bit too low to capitalize on it quite yet.

What about Call the Void? It's a perfect spell for a dragon. That's why Lya is learning it this turn so she can make Viserys a PoSK with it next month.

Didn't think about the fact that these are royals, I just want to make sure that Brune isn't diggin up actual mindflayer stuff, and that he has some not-sworn-to-viserys support with it. Possibly take him to AK/OV soonish then :).

Or tell him to talk to Embra, and explain that as a foreigner to AK, he could do with some advice/guidance on hiring people. Or, better yet! (much more low key) get some advice and a guide from one of our new people from Air to hire his own mage advice and stuff.

Ehh, but I've gone on about this long enough. If it explodes into mindflayer horribleness, it explodes.

My current favorites are Blink or Alter Fortune.

Embra would definitly be up to it.

[X] Hold a feast
-[X] Hiring only the best of the best chefs, with ingredients being brought teleport-fresh or magically preserved, showcase every culinary style for which you can secure a top-tier chef. Break out the finest vintages and all manner of varied drinks, including your very own Dawn Mead. Have them cheat with magic when cooking if at all possible, these are some rather distinguished guests after all.
-[X] After all the merrymaking to commemorate the official rejoining of the Spheres and a successful deal, move on to discussing the war against the Brazen throne. Move to make the tripartite alliance a solid deal and get the overview of the war. Show, inside the Shadow Tower's warded room (coincidentally showing off your trophies, including Mammon), your portal to Molten Skies and the Heart of Winter. The latter is as useful as it's deadly, and the former gives the Shaitan especially a portal that opens up to a cave network very close to the Bazzar, and thus the entrance to the city itself, bypassing the Horseman entirely.
--[x] On that note, talk about methods of redirecting planeshifts and possibly teleports as it's done there.
