It will be years before she can ride her dragon anyway and I don't know what you mean with bad habits.

She needs some mounted combat experience.

@Artemis1992, to expand further:

These are not bows that we can hand out to our subordinates. They're not just +1 weapons, they're body parts as well. Even if someone wanted to use these bows, which they won't, it'd be terrible PR for us.

Consequently, due to their nature of rot and decay, that's why I'm confident DP will at least give us a minor CL for each of the bows. They definitely have some bad history behind them, which is what the Old Gods like when given "mass produced" stuff.

I'm confused as to why the difference would matter. @Goldfish, there's no difference between Riding (Horse) and Riding (Flying Mount) when it comes to the skillpoints. It's all just Riding. And I don't think that Valaena would have much trouble learning how to ride her dragon, especially if your scheme to make that thing bond with Valaena worked.

Mechanically, as far as D&D rules are concerned, there is no difference. Practically, however, there is a very real difference between a land bound mount, and a flying one.

The sooner Vaelana learns to think of a battlefield as a 3D environment, rather than a 2D one, the better off she will be.

I guess it all depends on how DP wants it to play out.

@Goldfish, I merely want her to see some combat and it's unlikely that she will manage to ride a Griffon before the Disputed Lands are settled.

She can switch mounts in the down-time after that.

@Braavos, keep in mind that we have urgent business with the Sealord, to be adressed today ir tomorrow and then need to get back to Tyrosh to judge people, hang people and a lot of other stuff.

The leisurely Braavos trip will have to be later in the next turn.

So we're reenacting Rainbow Six and trying to stop some terrorist organization from holding DP and ASWaH hostage?

Who writes this plot? Because it isn't Tom Clany.

Because he's dead.

ASWAH: The Missing Author - A Riot Quest

A not so long time ago in a forum very, very close by, a quest had been started. This in of itself was not a noteworthy event, for many quests came and gone on this forum, but this one was different. The author, DragonParadox, wove a grand tale over the course of years. From the humble beginnings in the slums of Braavos, he told the story of Viserys Targaryen, exiled prince and freshly awakened sorcerer. Slowly he rose in power and prestige and while the main character grew, so did the audience.

Compelled by the storytelling and the blazing speed of updates, a grand community grew around the quest. In-jokes were formed, omakes written and spreadsheets were made, all to honor the story that had drawn together so different people from all around the world.

Yet now, dark clouds gather over this congregation. For the second time in a row, nobody has heard from their beloved author for half a day and worry grows as this odd silence stretches own. Is he just busy? Did his computer finally break down? Or are darker things afoot?

You one of this illustrious group. You have braved the Salt Cave, fought in the Alignment Wars, weathered the insanity of Turn Votes and Level-Ups, but now you stand before your greatest challenge yet. Information about DragonParadox are sparse, only the vague hint of him living in Romania can guide your search, though you are undeterred by the difficulty, for you are not alone.

Were a lone quester would succumb, together you will prevail.

I think that we should play as Artemis. His morality is flexible enough to allow player freedom and his Chaotic tendencies are bound to make this questing experience fun to read

This one is due to Goldfish, right?

There's a lot of bleed-over, really. Like for example, Azel out of that narrow grouping of people is the one who exemplifies Financial Acumen, and yet the traits that TNE best exemplifies are not included as weaknesses or virtues.

Goldfish is Murderous Tendencies incarnate though, you're right. :V

Hey! He prefers to present that as "not hugely focused on diplomacy", thank you very much :p

You know you embody Hard Mode, when your biggest advantage, and biggest weakness, can be essentially summed up by "is Russian".

Hey guys, I know it's been a long time and we've probably had this conversation way back. But have we considered bringing back Jon Connington? There should be an emotional connection there for Viserys and Danny. And the guy should be special enough to be able to reach Level 6 atleast if he can't become a PC.

You're thinking of Willem Darry.

Jon Connington is very much alive. He's the guy with f!Aegon the Blackfyre, in the middle of the Tiamat cult.

EDIT: That is, stuff that doesn't concern religions. I gave up on trying to fight Azel's Anti-Gods movement on that.

Ill vote for your plan if it includes touring the faiths. Its just Azels hateboner towards good dieties. Because theyve meddled so much, and its not like we can warn them to not interfere with sacrifices ect.

Edit: Sorry tired after work, no updates commuting home

My two main problems are:
- People tend to skip over the part where we check the tenements of their faiths to make sure they are compatible and immediately jump to proposing to build them a huge temple.
- It makes little narrative sense to acquire random deities for no reason.

If the Weeping Lady is actually only concerned with charity to the poor and destitute (needs a background check), I would have no problem to bring her to Tyrosh (for the reason of undermining Burnys position in that demographic).

  • [X] Go to the Archons palace to see if any of the magisters have started to filter in.
-[X] Before talking to them, dictate a few short letters to be send out.
--[X] Lys and Myr: Tell them about the Daemon forces in the Tyrosh and that you took over the city. Request a meeting at their earliest convenience to re-establish normal relationships between your polities.
--[X] Sealord: Tell him about the Daemon forces and that you took Tyrosh. You have some matters that you would like to urgently discuss with him, if possible.
--[X] Uthero and Fairwinds: Tyroshi trade is slightly disrupted by a serious case of Dragon killing Daemons. You will pay reasonably for prompt delivery of basic goods, coordinated through ACSEC.
--[X] Doran: Tell him that you took Tyrosh and it would be appreciated if he can leverage Dornes new trade fleet to set sail with food shipments to prevent a famine due to the trade disruption.
--[X] Rango: Tyrosh has fallen. The only reinforcements coming to the Disputed Lands will be his. You wish him good luck and a few glorious victories.
-[X] Take a peek at the treasury and have some small-talk with the palace clerks while doing so.
