Old Sure Eye: More and more tales of the old warrior who slew the Harpy Queen of Mereen are spreading across Essos. Tis said the mysterious archer with his sharp, but kind eyes has righted scores, even hundreds of wrongs, some against monsters out of legend and others against those who wear the skin of man. They say for his deeds he never takes more than his agreed upon price, sometimes even telling those he has saved that 'his price has already been paid.'

Bahamut seems to be enjoying himself.

Such news has much indisposed the king with many claiming they were the cause of an outburst of fury a few days past. Others say that what truly drove the king over the edge was news of the mysterious vanishing of the Golden Hearth... something the fey masters of that wandering inn encouraged in full, the better to keep their custom entertained.

Also, this brings me joy. WE STOLE YOUR INN, ROBERT!

Shields Against the Dark: Frightened whispers from the Westerlands speak of entire villages scoured of life for by some unholy plague, and then the dead rising into a dreadful army which sought to march forth and scour the lands around them to add to their ranks until all would fall under the dominion of death. The dead were laid to rest by shining blade of Westerlander knights and the sorcerous fire of the Golden Shields, yet it has left many wondering if it is not the embracing of such magic that called the dead forth. Perhaps the wizards had even been the knowing cause of this to cloak their unclean deeds in seeming heroism?
Fucking suspicious peasants.

They should learn to thank their sorcerous saviours, or I'll ask the Lich in Lys to help us with our own "More Zombies, less peasants" project.

The rumors in Westeros were also looked over by Bloodraven, so I don't know the peasants are entirely wrong.

And considering it's the Lannisters we're talking about, I could totally see them engineering a disaster so they could "save" the people and paint themselves as heroes.

Maiden's Mercy: Rather than spending her share of Hightower Gold, Danelle the Kind, called by some (though not in the hearing of the High Septon) the Chosen of the Maiden chose to pay for the construction and maintaining of the Halls of Respite. These places are meant to offer succor to young women who have been left without means of support yet who are not ready to take holy vows. Further, these halls receive even whores, beggars, and others of that ilk, which seemed to many septons to be rewarding wickedness. However, most such men of the cloth kept their discontent to soft whispers, for those few who dared preach against against she who seems a saint of the Maiden herself found a cold welcome and even outright attacks by the poor and downtrodden.

You get to live if you convince your Goddess to go out of her father's basement :V

I have a feeling Tywin might have tried to recruit a Necromancer...

A Clash of Stags: Following the return of Stannis Baratheon from the power of their foes by the auspices of his youngest bother, strange tales have started to come from Storm's End. Rather than return to his fief of Dragonstone, dour lord Stannis remains in his ancestral seat. Some say he whisper's ill counsel into his brother's ear and even tries to turn back the word of the king himself to claim the Stormlands for his own. Such news has much indisposed the king with many claiming they were the cause of an outburst of fury a few days past. Yay. One day we might kill Robert with a heart attack!

Breaking news: I love Danelle. We must collect her.

Speaking of Oldtown, what do we want to do with the Maiden champion and the Other Brandon?

Also Viserys talks with Stannis are paying off and when he learns we helps his daughter will be even better.

At some point we need to go to the Westerlands and do somethings like Intel and Sabotage.

bearing many strange and fel treasures
Too bad it's going to take them ten years or so to identify it all.
Okay, instead of WoC, what about just Greater Blink and Starmantle?
Dark Sister.
@ trade items: silk + fabricate = masterwork silk carpet (etc etc).
hahahahaha no.

It has inherent Ghost Touch properties. Lets see if we can't make it into armour padding.

I was hoping to stay the hell away from them and keep them away from us.

If we end up having to kill Danelle we might as well murder all our chances of good PR in the future.
Agreed. @Diomedon, can you have Lya study Dark Sister along with learning spells in the leftover time while we're in the Plane of Air?

But it wasn't Lanna or under her control, I'm pretty sure. She has never shown that level of evil.

So the peasants would still be wrong about most Lannister mages, even if Tywin hired someone else who fucked up.

*Magpie Intensifies*
Seriously, someone who exemplifies whats good about the 7? The PR boon for the new king alone would be fantastic, along with, you know, she's actually a capable PC and a wonderful person to be around

No, have Viserys study it. From the days freed by not teaching Lya.

I know it might surprise some, but his +20 Spellcraft score does have its uses.

Drop Viserys's spells for poking Dark Sister, and have Lya learn Secret Chest and Dragon Eye Rune (or Track ship), and maybe take care of the Procreation Ritual?

Alternatively, a much longer spell learning list for Lya. (9 spells from scrolls, assuming Viserys on Dark Sister).

You don't think we can work with them? We only have to humble the Seven, not destroy them.

With Danelle, she is the most likely to work with us.

By the way, with Tree Stride, getting to Bloodraven becomes much easier provided we have a sacrifice to appease the Old Gods. @TotallyNotEvil, how's that list of desired Druid spells coming along?

I don't think it can work any time in the near future. We're enemies of the Seven right now. We're better off avoiding conflict entirely rather than risking it where it isn't necessary. Just leave her to take care of problems in Westeros while we focus on empire building.

Maybe after we humble the Seven and start taking Westeros back, or when the Long Night rolls around and we have a clear common enemy, then we can initiate talks.
