Warlock's Sceptre is probably a Warlock's Sceptre, very very good for Maelor.
Stepstones, it would not go amiss to send envoys to the Free Cities to solidify alliances or seed the ground for conquest. (Glyr, Maelor. 3 days)
---[X] Braavos (Helping the Silver Eye if needed)
I'd rather more identifying. Work down the list if need be.
--[X] Return of the Wandering Son: For over two years Waymar Royce has been your loyal companion, and an exile from the lands of his birth. While you cannot see that he is given the honor he deserves yet, you can travel in secret to those lands that he may look upon his kin... and you can gather support from the Royces and perhaps other lordly houses of the Vale of Arryn (Viserys, Richard, Waymar. 6 days)
Don't forget to have Viserys convince him his usual bronze plate is too conspicuous, he should just take his sword. Or just catch him at a time he isn't wearing it.
Have Lya Fabricate sets of Mithral Fullplate for Tyene, Dany, and Vee, using 82.5 lbs of our Mithral and leaving 194 lbs in reserve.
Reinforced Segmented.
--[] For now until we get her something better, Valaena receives the Blessed +1 Thinblade to wield against any monsters she faces.
I thought we all agreed on the spiked chain.
--[] Lya fabricates Dragonhide Armor and a Dragonbone Bow for Soft Strider, and we find out what else can be harvested from the Velroc's Corpse. We've already gotten a Dragonbone Bow for Theon, but surely there's more.
Don't forget to leave the aspect's corpse intact. We want that Dragonscale Cloak.

We could have the wrights craft at Planetos Tax until we come back from PoA. Better pay extra than waste time.

In that vein, if we need to drop Lya from PoA, so be it. Serious crafting backlog.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. :(

@DragonParadox, what would we need to do to train our smiths to be able to handle Mithral and Adamantium? Are there rare texts we could purchase? An extraplanar teacher we could hire?

The latter might help

Given that there are like five names at least that you'll have to consider, with Barriston the Bold and Jaime Lannister locked in, I can assume you'll get back to me on that one, @DragonParadox?

Yes, maybe I'll do an Aberi interlude that introduces them.

Braavos is due to Alysandre being convinced to spend a few months training in our scholarium and reading our library in exchange for some of our protection towards the city to replace her.

I think we're still divided on the (probably evil) chain.

I'd rather squeeze a few Viserys days than have Dark Sister either bond or brainmelt Maelor.

That's a fair point. We don't have any this month left, unless Lya has spells to learn from scrolls that are more important than what she can learn from Viserys.

I also favor Lya as the one dropped from PoA, but there's been some resistance.

[X] Diomedon

One of the spells Lya learns from Dany needs to be is Scrying. Right now Dany is our only source for that one. Another is True Seeing.

From Viserys, she should learn Wings of Cover and Greater Blink, or Starmantle.

Or we could just let Dany under Mindblank take it up as a minor action.

After years of complaining about identification you want to waste time on a sword Bloodraven thought to be safe?

If we drop Lya from the PoA, she can get started learning from her scroll backlog.

Anyone we want to talk with? Free actions really. If only to say we are happy they are there.

Also do we want to have some of the school Mages to do something to level them up?

Alysande already returned to Braavos last month.

you will yourself to Braavos seeking Uthero to speak both on the matter of Alysande's return to the Silver Eye and whatever sellswords he might have been able to find for your quickly approaching attack on Tyrosh.

"Aly is doing about as well as can be expected for someone in her position... cut off from so much of her life.

She doesn't have anything urgent to learn from Viserys.

I'd much rather drop Lya from PoA to learn or craft.
Fine, Lya can be dropped. :(

Part MDCLXXVII: From the Four Corners
From the Four Corners

First Day of the First Month 293 AC

Tales of the West:

A Clash of Stags:
Following the return of Stannis Baratheon from the power of their foes by the auspices of his youngest bother, strange tales have started to come from Storm's End. Rather than return to his fief of Dragonstone, dour lord Stannis remains in his ancestral seat. Some say he whisper's ill counsel into his brother's ear and even tries to turn back the word of the king himself to claim the Stormlands for his own. Such news has much indisposed the king with many claiming they were the cause of an outburst of fury a few days past. Others say that what truly drove the king over the edge was news of the mysterious vanishing of the Golden Hearth... something the fey masters of that wandering inn encouraged in full, the better to keep their custom entertained.

A Triumph at Old Town:
The heroes who plunged into the depths more than a moon-turn past and were long counted dead have emerged from beneath the High Tower, bearing many strange and fel treasures as well as tales fit to terrify the stoutest soul. What precisely these tales were none can truly say for certain save lord Hightower and perhaps the Septon of the Starry Sept with whom the heroes spoke at length after receiving their rewards, gold and accolades both.

Maiden's Mercy: Rather than spending her share of Hightower Gold, Danelle the Kind, called by some (though not in the hearing of the High Septon) the Chosen of the Maiden chose to pay for the construction and maintaining of the Halls of Respite. These places are meant to offer succor to young women who have been left without means of support yet who are not ready to take holy vows. Further, these halls receive even whores, beggars, and others of that ilk, which seemed to many septons to be rewarding wickedness. However, most such men of the cloth kept their discontent to soft whispers, for those few who dared preach against against she who seems a saint of the Maiden herself found a cold welcome and even outright attacks by the poor and downtrodden.

Shields Against the Dark: Frightened whispers from the Westerlands speak of entire villages scoured of life for by some unholy plague, and then the dead rising into a dreadful army which sought to march forth and scour the lands around them to add to their ranks until all would fall under the dominion of death. The dead were laid to rest by shining blade of Westerlander knights and the sorcerous fire of the Golden Shields, yet it has left many wondering if it is not the embracing of such magic that called the dead forth. Perhaps the wizards had even been the knowing cause of this to cloak their unclean deeds in seeming heroism?

Tales of the East:

Beasts of the Old Woods: Strange and uncanny creatures have been attacking loggers and hunters in the Forest of Qohor, making the roads unsafe for travel especially after dark. Where these beasts come from or what they seek none know, but in the past few days misshapen shapes could be seen on clear nights even from the walls of Qohor itself. There are rumors of the Priests of the Black Goat rousing not only the warriors but the very populace against the horrors in the woods.

The Pit of Norvos:
A Great gaping maw opened in the Earth before the great temple of the Bearded God, leaving the structure unharmed, but the priesthood in turmoil. Most took it as a sign, a warning of danger, perhaps of sin, but on what is the danger and who the sin belongs to, few were able to agree.

Old Sure Eye: More and more tales of the old warrior who slew the Harpy Queen of Meereen are spreading across Essos. Tis said the mysterious archer with his sharp, but kind eyes has righted scores, even hundreds of wrongs, some against monsters out of legend and others against those who wear the skin of man. They say for his deeds he never takes more than his agreed upon price, sometimes even telling those he has saved that 'his price has already been paid.'

OOC: Obviously the rumors from the west are much more trustworthy then those from the East because you could check them with Bloodraven.
