@Artemis1992 maybe add something about organizing gathering dead in settlement itself since likely lots of dead bodies there as well that are at risk of turning into undead and doubt we want this place to become like Lys since we plan to claim it.

Doing the whole settlement will take to long for a small group.
We'll have to organise something with the survivors in the morning, not much we can do alone now.

The palace clearly has the worst of it, so it's priority for now.

Guys - speak with dead for a witness record.
Anything else you want undead for goes directly into the 'morally dubious' bin.
And I don't think the OG are fond of 'let's create undead to sacrifice and get a boon' approach.

I have already changed.

My point would have been that an actual talk is usually more comprehensive and gives more contextual information than the limited questions from Speak with Dead.
A Ghoul's damaged mind and memory makes this less useful than I though, so I voted for something different.

can we have a tally an example
  1. [X] Heal until you are fully recovered
-[X] Tyene expends the rest of her 1st level spell slots casting Cure Light Wounds on Viserys.
-[X] Viserys casts Mirror Image on himself, plus Invisibility on Azema. Once Tyene finishes healing him, Viserys will cast Greater Blink on himself.
    [X] Leave then with Azema
-[X] Place an Arcane Mark on the Maenad we just defeated. It deserves...special treatment.
-[X] Have her tag along with us while Invisible.

    Number of voters: 8

Goldfish, Duesal, Artemis1992, Helo89, MTB, Tomcost, das_slash, Takesis

at the beginning of every chapter so we know what going on and the chapters make greater sense
especially people that just start or want to binge read

Eh. I'm sure that the city will have a decent undead plague by tomorrow. We can harvest those guys instead.
Ghouls from NPCs are decent fodder for low-level adventurers to clear up...

I want in no way to sacrifice a town just for Leila, Azema, and once they have the basics down Hermetia and the Velaryon-girl to have a training-place...
But we can't do much besides cleaning up the palace right now.

It feels odd to start doing it so late in the quest. If one makes it through one million words without it than I do not think it is going to matter going forward.

I think dodge bonus stack with itself, since almost nothing gives dodge AC anyway.

Dodge bonuses from different sources certainly stack, I don't dispute that. What I'm talking about is that 35 AC is a result of having dodge feat twice (once from Maenad, once from quickling) and you cannot take a feat twice, unless it is specifically permitted.

Ferry over our B-party and have them train after we are finished?
It's more a case for a C-Party.

If we assume the NPCs here are mostly level 1-3 they'll result in CR 1 Ghouls.
Azema alone can take almost any number of Ghouls, the only danger would be if an attack both passes her DR (unlikely but will happen with enough hits) and succeds on Paralysis (DC 12 is easy but not certain to beat for her).
Straight damage is easily restored with her vampiric toch Su-ability.

Basically with Azema as meatshield and Leila as healer we can put level 1 PCs on a Ghoulhunt and will likely succede.

If we can help it, we don't want to let any of the victims rise as Ghouls or Ghasts. Right now they can only be created under specific circumstances, but once they have risen, Ghoul Fever exists on Planetos. The disease is not extremely communicable, but all it takes is one bite and most level 1 commoners are going to die without magical medical treatment very few can provide.

Planetos sucks enough as it is. It doesn't need a zombie plague on top of all the other shit.

We have our priorities straight, don't we?
"There are undead in our city, we need help!"
"Oh, fine, next week starts the summer vacation in our wizard school, we'll send some."

This is why I think we should send Moonsong to Goggossi, We coulf scry on her arrival there. Then move the Shadow tower and minotaurs over and tell them + B&C teams to have fun!

(Asking Yss if there are any dragoneggs in Goggossi - and if visiting Naath on the way back would be beneficial for us.)

So, we should be extra-careful with that Enervation.

In a software project I would call that feature creep - so many things we could do, and so few QMs to make it happen ...

Am not sure I am following but...

Most of Goggossi would not need Viserys there, so not worse than background rolls already done by our enemies. We've been reactionary for too long, it is time to send out our own minions.

For the record, the Old Gods wouldn't care. They only care about the amount of HD they're being sacrificed. And also if we break any of their tenants, which we haven't.

That being said, we don't actually need this particular sacrifice. Not when there are lovely 9 HD Maenads to hunt. It would have been nice, sure, but also inconvenient to herd all the undead around.

that defeatist talk at lest give it a try before you quite
also in the past you write the opening lines in such a manner that it is easy to guess what was chosen even if you did not see the choices

it was only a few months ago for you but after a while of not reading your work for me that i notice your style changed, it might be because in the far past their was a limit on abilities and allies can do
now we have no choice but to search if i want the chapter to make sense it is a bit of a enthusiasm killer

Eh. Personally I'd rather not have it up there. It just looks messy on the updates. And even if you're confused about what vote was chosen in an update all you have to do is backtrack a few pages before the update and the vote count is usually prominently displayed for you. It's what I've been doing with minimal effort.

As Duesal said, it's easy to go back and find the voting results. There is rarely more than two or three pages of thread content after a vote is closed and a tally posted before DP adds a chapter, so it's not like you're having to hunt through 20+ pages.

Ah, but in reader life that's a huge pain sometimes. Voting isn't always very clear, because there are other discussions on the thread.
And for those us us who read this on our phones, it wastes quite a bit of 4G :'(

@DragonParadox I completely agree with @Warlord D Thoran. You could just put it in a spoiler at the top of the update, it would be much easier.

And in reader mode, going back through the thread isn't quite as simple!
