Hmmm... This is a good proposal. If we get enough Maenads that we can comfortably grow two Heart Trees then we should do this.
Even if it mean we are short on godwood sacrifices, 9HD sacrifice to the trees isn't worth a CR13 creature, sacrificing the super Maenad should get us something comparable to what the Mallor did, personally I would much rather have that than 9HDs worth of Heart Tree.

Don't worry, we're agreed on giving the CR13 Maenad to Yss. He'll be more likely to reward us proportionally. And then, as @Azel suggested, if needed we can use our Wayfinder to raid a Sahuagin village for more sacrifices. Personally, though, I'm hoping we get enough Maenads that we won't have to resort to that. It's a big time sink and we have way too much to do.

Harrenhal is nice, but it's also landlocked. On the other hand it could work if we get a huge population of griffon and hippogriff riders to make up for that.

We have SD for a non-land locked capital. It's more centrally located than King's Landing via the road system, which we're going to be improving once we figure out Valyrian concrete. It's also large enough for us to properly expand into (space for griffon/hippogriff stables. Space for minotuars. Space for a legion or two to just hang out, etc.) unlike King's Landing. It's also empty enough to let us remodel, and plan for a city to pop up around it (proper plumbing please).

And islands are infinitely easier to defend, especially with magic.

All good points... And it has the benefits of mostly being a ruin so we can just work from the ground up. Then again we'd probably have to sink hundreds of thousands of Iron Marks to get it to the point of being the capital for all of Westeros. :/ Here's to hoping TNE's steel scheme works as advertised.

While I'll concede Harrenhal could be a good Westeros capital, I stand firm on Sorcerer's Deep becoming the capital of world. A personal island is necessary for every megalomaniac. :p

I'm more thinking of power projection. Almost every major war seems to have gone through the Riverlands, so a well designed fortress (with anti-aerial defenses this time) in the center of the continent is quite nice. I'm not saying we should abandon SD for Harrenhal, merely that I prefer it to King's Landing (the putrid death trap that it is) for Westerosi Capital.

I'm actually quite fond of Sorcerer's Deep as our most permanent residence.

And if we do end up rebuilding Harrenhal for the Westerosii capital, we could remake the towers with flying mounts in mind. ;)

@Tomcost what's so great about magical plants? You've been really insistent about this for quite a while, and I still don't get it. Silver bells seem nice I suppose (loot!) but most of the other plants you mentioned don't seem fantastic enough to warrant our precious time growing them.

And aren't golems and constructs better than plants in every way? :p

Magical plants in general can be used as crafting materials, they can used for alchemy, and they can be used for poisons. And various other things. Don't underestimate the value of a magical greenhouse-effect tree. It will pay back its worth tenfold.

EDIT: If you're not convinced, just look at the memory moss. If we invest time and effort into that we could brew a potion that restores spell slots. That would be invaluable in the middle of a pitched battle. Having the Heart Tree helping it grow gives us a lot more to work with.

Golems are the expensive and loyal alternative. Plants are the wild, self-replicating alternative you use to drown your enemies with.

See Gluttongrass for cheap and awesome minions. You plant one, and it grows on its own.

EDIT: we can already use Memory Moss to restore spell slots. You just get your mind sucked and forget a day of your life, then harvest the moss and put it into a vial. There, you get the spell slots of said day anytime you eat it.

It is not nice, but it is broken.

Restore's spell slots? That would be a very nice boon. I want the memory moss as a way to make people forget the last 1/2/3/12/24 hours.
We can test it out on that dude in Pentos (he tested us first!) and then use it as a 'get out of consequences free' card when (if we go down this route) Diplomance Jamie Lannister about wildfire. And escalate to curces and compulsions if that proves to not work.

Magic working on magical plants tends to have unexpected effects however.

I know I'm a bit behind but this just seems silly. She's a poison mistress, she should always have poison.

Does she not carry antidote for the same reason?

"Wasn't expecting anyone to be poisoned today, soz guys."
The wonderful thing about character fuck-ups is that we can embarrass our PCs so they never make the same mistakes again. For example:
Sentinels from Bellow
In this update when we were conquering our island, there was a bit of an outcry because after scouting the island and flying back to our navy, Viserys decided to basically skim the waves. Of course, that lured Deep One Sentries who promptly attacked him. Relath had to bail him out. After that Viserys got lectured about the benefits of flying high in the sky since his enemies lurked in the ocean, and now IC Viserys has no excuse to make the same mistake.

Some lessons are really annoying to learn, but we can take solace in the fact that they stay learned.

Well, there are practical reasons not to carry poison around on your person as well, as DP mentioned. Getting Tyene a belt of many pouches or whatever it was solves almost all of them.

True. After the Amulets of PfE for all party members, that goes close to the top of the list. I want Tyene to have a collection with her at all times.

I dunno about top of the list...

It's definitely something to add to the list, but we have a lot higher priority items that need crafting.

Lya needs her +4 Constitution belt, Viserys needs his Robes of Mysterious Conjuration, our other casters need their +4 Wisdom items, etc.

True, we need to solve the problem of Lya's squishiness.

On another note, we need to link up with Dany soon. The fights with the rest of the Maenads will be a LOT easier if we actually have our buffs.

Wish list: item of speak with animals for vee, item of dimension door or at least some form of 100ft range teleport for tyene she can use in a grapple.
