Okay so with the forge we would have to research any breath weapons and biological abilities but for templates we can either research it or melt some thing with said template. Is this correct? @DragonParadox.

Also if we were to resurrect a creature and melt it in the forge would its template still come through? Like if we resurrect a tazlewyrm and melt it will it give us the template?

If you try to resurrect something with the intent of killing it the being will sense that intent and the spell will fail regardless

@Goldfish, perhaps it is my paranoia speaking, but asking a immortal fey to serve the Imperium as long as it stands doesn't seem like a fair deal.

for one a thousand years from now she might want independence and might work to end the Empire to be free of her oath.

Normally I would say even if we made it actually safe, that would be a bad idea for the sake of their mental wellbeing, but since the threads psychologist proposed it, I will second making this idea standard practice, for children blessed with instinctive knowledge.

I see I should have put a /s at the end of my suggestion.

@DragonParadox @egoo

There are quite a few study actions missing.
@DragonParadox, under the new mechanics, how much progress will we need to thoroughly screen, recruit, and train candidates for Waymar's Knightly Griffon Rider Order?
I'd say about a 16 point action with so many knights having already made their way to SD. Most of that will be training not recruiting.
@DragonParadox, how long would it take for Lya to study the Land Wards? My thinking was she just needs a bit of time to observe the effects in the real world and the dreamlands along with learning the maintenance rituals to be able to reverse engineer it.
Given that she already has a good background in rune-crafting I would say it's a 15 progress research action.
Also, out of curiosity, how many research points would it take to upgrade Valaena's Coils of Agony to Valyrian Steel?
12 points
I think @Duesal wanted to know if Tyene could retrain Ocular Spell to a version of Reach Spell that only had a +1 spell level adjustment.
A 8 progress action.
@DragonParadox, will we need research to get the teleporting construct smart-bombs @Goldfish proposed?
I would say it is niche enough to require a small amount of research something like 10 progress.
If it's just about quality of life we might want to look for a temporary solution rather than any true changes.
Look at this for example: Mantle of the Icy Soul – Spell – D&D Tools

It negates a Fire subtype for 1h/level. A fiery version of that would be perfect if she just wants to feel warm and humans for a bit.
@DragonParadox
Would it be a big project to inverse that spell? Rina certainly knows the icy version here.
No, that would take 10 progress. You could probably just put Velen on it for a month
Idle question I meant to ask then, @DragonParadox how difficult would it be to moderate the racial trait that Rina has so that she can actually work with positive energy and/or not be cold all the time?

Like what we did for Garin and Wyla, basically.
It would be a moderately difficult research project. 22 progress needed, though chances are it would slightly lower some of her positive attribute too.
Do we need to spend a substantial amount of time to create cosmetic variations from our current Leshys?

I mean, Black Lotus and Black Poppy Leshys could play as the funerary service for our population. I just don't want to shove an all colorful magenta flower in their faces while we suggest they give us their deceased granpa. Black implies respect for the dead.
That would be a pretty brief research. I'd say something like 4 progress needed.

Holy fuck that is a lot of research actions... do we need to make a research agreement now? Should we drop some on this past Volantis and Braavos?

on second look though, Griffon Knights Order doesn't seem like it has to do anything with Research?
:/

And if I remember correctly, @Snowfire decided to forego going for that "make Rina slightly less Cold"-action?
Kinda why I didn't add it either :/

And totally not because I think it highly unnecessary, honest!

The Griffon Knight Order is an action that uses progress to get through, and we're definitely doing it. That's enough to keep track of it.

They are propably doing their own thing.

Once we have absorbed the Silver Eye and the Mysterium we can put their casters to work too.

And get their respective researches too. Well then good news is that we have more researchers and PCs to work on actions. Bad news is that we have so many research actions. At least Waymar is done with his fucking alchemy shit meaning we can put him into his Griffon Order for the next two months. Or take him out adventuring. Either or.

If you want a warg just ask Bloodraven to send us some spares when he has the time. We have a direct line to the Old Gods. We don't need to waste any time looking for wargs the hard way.

I know it is easy to get some but.... I just want that book out of the way honestly. It is just there and it bothers me every time I see it. Like it is such a low research number and it is just there. Do you understand what I am trying to say? Ahh its fine I can ignore it. The other research is much more important.

Soft Strider is busy training Rangers for us.
No.
No she isn't.

For the last 2 (or 3?) months she's been doing anything but training our rangers.
I'm still salty about that.

The only person we have on Rangers is that guy we bought the services of at Ammun Khellisk, and we still haven't heard a whiff from him since, although DP promised to note him and his successes down with the next batch of Scholarum mages being ready .

Alright, and what has she been doing then? Training rangers is her default.

Since Ser Swann won the archery contest I wonder if we will bend knee to us and take up land offer.

Any particular land in mind?

Look up the turn schedules, she's been on various missions all over the place, if my memory don't wrong.

Um, no. No I didn't. It's meant to be baked into her going to the Djinn and helping out.

@DragonParadox I think you said that this was reasonable.
Well then.
I disagree with that being necessary, and would prefer her to actually do stuff there, instead of focusing on her own project, but whatever, helicopter all over her if you want.

If DP okayed that, though, I think its better to write that in in the turn-action itself (the one sending her to Jinn and helping out with Ice Heart), than making it a RA? :/
