That is... Not what will happen. Minotaur population is far too low and too often absent (Legion service) to be a properly structure-creating element of our city fabric.

Worst case building the expensive Sept there will attract Westerosi in droves and price the Minotaurs out of the local housing market.

Untrue. The minotaurs do not live like paupers... they are well compensated basically wherever they go. The people coming in are not gentrifying nobles, and we can discourage that specific migration in that location by building manses elsewhere, but people looking for opportunity. Opportunity the minotaurs have already eclipsed in their own right.

Also, all the dozens of children they have had and still are having live there.

@DragonParadox, what's our current minotaur population, including their young?

To be honest, while we talked a lot about minotaurs in the military, I don't see them as a fixture there. No Legion has a fixed contingent of them, they are far too few to form even a single company and mixing them in makes a royal mess out of those neat shield-lines.

As it is, they were always treated as specialists who crop up everywhere and nowhere. We got minotaur firefighters, raiders, dock-workers, etc. Just let them be normal people.

Also, this. We are the housing market for the most part and can just flat out dictate prices, buildings and so on. Also, the minotaurs are Large and Westerosi Medium sized, so they have literally no overlap in housing. A building large enough to accommodate minotaurs is too big for humans to reasonably live in (huge doors, can't properly look out of the windows, rooms are positively cavernous), while no minotaur can live comfortably in a human building (much too cramped in the everything).

300lb+Hooves

Goodbye wood flooring, hello kindling.

They'd like carpet though.

Dammit i'm going to be thinking about minotaur home design for hours now.

@Azel maybe want to add a note to speak with local Red Priest about setting up his own temple since after this you know he will ask?

This is an excellent point.
Of course I expected us to build houses built for Large size but still liveable by Medium people (vertically long windows that both Large and Medium people can look out of, some interiors separations or extra furniture in excessively large rooms for Medium people, high roofs calling for hanging candles or overhead storage if Medium...). This seems like a far better and more flexible solution than specifically building for Large only.

However our strong control of the housing market (we build and control the land and are the King) does mean that we can avoid that if we want to.

"Dozens"? In a city of tens of thousands of people?
No, they will be symbolic but anecdotal.

And upper-middle-class people absolutely can be gentrified out of a neighborhood, especially if they live right next to a 20 000 IM government megaproject.

That's true. Their faith is officially among the tolerated variety, and if Viserys can treat with the Magic-Hating Seven (man that has got to be stranger than fiction for some people who aren't blinded by LOYALTY), why not the Everyone Is My Slave religion? :V

Man, reality is funny.

no no, mind you, I'm very much shameless in adding minor actions to already-voted list unless it's nearing the end of the month.

While letting people know, ofc.

If we are doing Burny, we can probably get info on a bunch of other religions DP no doubt have statted up throughout the years and see if any are good.

The official Census will cost a hefty sum so its a major action.

[] Perform a Basic Census of Religions
Learn more of the gods who hold sway over the hearts of your new subjects and their priests, seeking to learn more of potential allies and enemies alike.
Requirements: None
Action: Government
Progress 16
Cost: 80,000 IM
Upkeep: None

We can do it next month, its ok.

I really liked this update since we got into ruling and it was fun talking about all the issues that were pretty grey for the most part.

We should hold court more often! Maybe a funny one will slip in at some point and cause us to face palm.:p

So on the go and haven't been able to read up on comments, but after seeing the rumor mill please tell me we're finally going to step on the Golden Company before those retards find something to fuck up half the planet. I honestly don't know why we haven't handled them already, we have the better army, and our PC can solo anyone of those blessed dragons.

[X] "Wise words. Likewise, it would be foolish of me to judge you by the actions of those preachers with less pure intentions, or to turn away a helping hand in these troubled times. Let it be known then that the Faith of the Seven now truly joins the creeds preached in my realm." // Making it clear here that the Seven are one of many.
-[X] Give him 20,000 IM in funds and the support of the Bulabar to erect a great sept between the Minotaur Village and the library. // This shunts the Sept to the outskirts of SD and into a less prestigious locale then the two Godswoods in the inner ring. Also encourages growth to the west to integrate the Minotaur Village into SD to become the Minotaur District.

Wouldn't it be better to have Viserys included in the design? His architecture skill would be an enormous boom in ensuring the Sept blows out the Starry Sept and the Great Sept of Baelor out of the water. That in turn would give our Septon disproportionate influence over the faith while also grant the appearance of piety to the Westerosi.

Hm... good point actually. Taking some personal interest in the project should earn us some browny points and we did heavily aid the design of both Yss and the Moonsingers temple. Let me formulate something...
Well, I rather like this Septon, to be honest.

Reminds me of our Septon guise.

Also, @TalonofAnathrax
You know, you shouldn't make fun out of peoples national sports.

Competitive summary executions are a hallowed and sacred European tradition.
