A Reforged World (NO SV, You are King of Italy, in a Greatly Changed World)

The first generation of slaves would be natives at first it would not be until minimum a decade-ish after that they're were being replaced. And if Charles really REALLY needs more slaves he'll just buy from portugal or take it from in a trade war, that is much easier and cheaper then fighting a war to revive slavery in a region notorious for taking christians as slaves and pissing of Italy in to the hands of the French and Ottomans.

Charles is not a moron, he knows to secure his families (and his) European fortune and land an allied Italy is invalueble. He can choose to start another war for the Habsburgs after they're already being battered or make peace with Italy and get his slaves from Africa through peacefull or violent means. This is basic geopolitics, something that should be obviously clear to any one who thinks for just a moment. Sometimes I think you want that Spain would declare war.

Yeah but don't take it the wrong way, this idea that Spain is destined to attack us is stupid and is overtly alarmist and I didn't want to waste my time with it but I couldn't help myself when you said something wrong.
There is one problem with this. The assumption that Charles made the locals into slaves like OTL.
And instead of forced slave labor, the natives are, for the most part, being left alone. Though many continue to their old tribal ways. Some have moved into the new Spanish colonies, and become true Spanish subjects
While last quest we had confirmation that is not happening, likely because doing such would make enemies of the locals, which would be problematic because there are only so many Spaniards Charles has to try and build an empire many times spain's size. So, the crunch is coming sooner because he hadn't converted much of the local population, if any, into slave labor unless the situation changed since then.

While he has not made his native Ally's slaves as he is honoring his word, they are still his subjects.

Meaning a lot of things and not all of them good. Esspecially those that didn't convert.

A reminder tha Luciano's engineering rolls are +25 before bonuses….

I am going to laugh like a mad man if the rolls are as good as the navies.

i have a very bad idea we could use if we go to war with Spain...we ask the ottomans for help.
Edit: because they probably hate being stuck in the mediterranean as much as us.

While Realpolitik would agree with you…

We have a lot of ambitious neighbors and angry people who would hate us for that.

Also the first roll of the engineering roll:D100 + 35 => 121

Brings a tear to my eye.

The rolls will be bullshit.

The rewards incredible. :evil:

---------------------------------------------------------------

[]The Prince: You are going to learn from your master's book, and see what wisdom you can gleam. DC: 55 Reward: you learn how to be a Prince of a nation. Rolled:D100 + 20 => 112+D100 + 20 => 119+D100 + 20 => 115+D100 + 20 => 103=449

"Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are."

You took those words to heart, and did your best to hide, what you are.

Reward: +6 to Composure. +2 to Decorum.

As your Composure is now 15, you gain a +30 to one roll, in an action that uses your highest stat (Engineering)

If the Roll gets to 1000, you may invent something that is centuries ahead of your time.

Inventing Action Unlocked.

Engineering Action unlocked.

Rebuilding Rome Action Unlocked (currently locked until the Kingdom is no longer at war, and Bankrupt.)
Is this bonus applying to the second roll then? It's one we gained in rebirth.

So with this, it should be more like +65, if it's applying to this roll.
