A Reforged World (NO SV, You are King of Italy, in a Greatly Changed World)

Renaissance: RealOtto Edition
"The Italian Peninsula is at a decline after the death of King Luciano XIV 'The Sun King', with many in the Italian Senate doing their predecessors from the Roman Republic Era proud with increased assasinations and political violence, not to mention of the rising "Tribunes" - The Republican Radicals - demanding more reforms in dedication of the people..some even planning the end of the Senate and the 'Corrupted Line of Luciano'.

The French are looking to retake their title as the Master of Europe, with a strong agitation after their colonies in the 2 Years War taken by both Spain and England, with their fleet taken by the Italians.

The Ottomans seeks to begin a return to the Islamic Golden Age, with many of the last Traditionalists convinced for this new change to retake their revenge on the Italian Army.

The Austrians plans to retake Germany, and to annex the Italian territories of Venitia.

The Perfidius British remains neutral, with clear goals to achieve a true hegemony across the world.

In such divided times, can the Kingdom of Italy pull itself together?"

The playable Characters would be:

- Napoleone Buonaparte: The Idolizer of History, not to mention of the Great King Luciano. He dreams of forming what his Idols never did: Forming the Italian Empire. One grander than all Romes.

- Luciano XVI: The New King and Husband of Marie-Antoinette of the Habsburg-Lorraine line. The two of you are considered as populists, but as the matters of state as it is, many blame you for spending too much money on "Not on the People"..not to mention you are quite timid against the more Old Ways Senate.

- Octavian XVII: The Moderate Tribune that represents the Radical Centre, supportive of reforms left and right of the spectrum in encouragement of a people's state.

- Randino XVIII: The Radical Tribune that represents the radical left, he calls for the head of King Luciano XVI and "Madame Deficit", he is also friends with the Tribunist-Populist Frenchman Robespierre and French Philosopher and Writer Voltaire II.

- Alexandros II: The leader of the Senate, with a clear agenda to purge the Tribunes once and for all in favour of returning the hegemony back to the Senate (that became infiltrated to basically mimic the Late Roman Republic).
Real Otto, I love you (not in that way)

But it would be in the 1900's not a french revolution quest.

I've done that.

Not sure what the Ottomans are thinking on this one. They are dictating terms, that they don't have the ability to follow up on. They have next to no navy to speak of at this point, against the premier naval power in the Mediterranean at this time. Northern Italy has their brand new array of fortresses that are terrifying, and those are not going to be easy to crack. Plus Spain is getting involved in the war.

I don't know what Sulaiman was thinking about going into this.

Edit: this was for the last vote, but my phone lost it, and now it pops back up... worse than my college online course services I tell you.

The Ottoman Fleet:D100 => 1
The Ottoman invasion force:D100 => 5
The Italian Fleet of Rhodes:D100 + 20 => 71
The Italian Army of Greece:D100 + 10 => 96+D100 + 10 => 15

For the Fleet of Rhodes was there, bolstering the Army, having only 30 ships, against 200.

And they found the Fleet lacking. For the fleet fled, if they were not outright destroyed.

Nearly 50 fell beneath the waters. And the rest fled.

With their only hope for escape lost…

The Ottoman forces surrendered.

Reward: Total victory among the Italian forces in Greece.

Utter humiliation for the Ottoman invasion force.

Suleiman: *throws his hands up* "Fine, fine, I can take a hint, Allah. No more conquering for me. I'll just focus on reforming the Law Code."
So....

"Quick! They are distracted!"
"Rule Italia"
*Ottoman navy sunk AGAIN*
Suleiman:" Why did I attack before Italy's navy actually left the Med? Oh well"
*Proceeds to punt the Pharoh off his/her throne*

If I had to guess, the boogieman of the sequel is either

¹an emerging African super nation because of us harming the slave trade so bad they start keeping slaves to build up instead of trying to ship them elsewhere.

²Spanish Monarchist America that Charles actually manages to finish with a grand army of French war criminal indentured workers.

³Some kind of neo Mongolian Empire in mechs.

wrong on all fronts.

But good guesses.

No. depening on what happens...

You'll see.

So I'm doing a second part, then we'll be back for the next turn.

Mostly because the only real actions we can do is baby making (THe wife seems to want more kids), fluff, inventing shit, and preparing for another election.

So instead, I'm doing part two, and giving a bonus to our actions, and are getting a peace conference turn like we did during unification.

However, know that the theological and political consequences will set the stage for the epilogue, and... will drastically effect Luciano's final legacy score.

And you may not have a total victory. The peace may (Very likely) have to be conditional.

What happened to this?
That is not the main army of France under the Pope King, which is being affected by that additional -20. who is currently doing battle with the Two german army for the fate of central Europe.

That is the French Army of the Netherlands that took over the Netherlands and is rushing back to stop the Arditi from fucking destroying everything in their path.

And only barely succeded in such.
Magoose forgot. I think that is both the more likely and most beneficial to us option.
no I didn't forget, recall This from the update.
The Main French Army of Germany (Pope King Louis Army)
I put that wording precisely because this army, the main one with the King in it, is suffering a -50, not the -30 that everywhere is still suffering.

The Second Part of the War Of Religion: (Or as it will be known in the future, Restoration of the World, or as it's known in the Eastern Islamic World, The Jihad for Greece)
The Second Part of the War Of Religion: (Or as it will be known in the future, Restoration of the World, or as it's known in the Eastern Islamic World, The Jihad for Greece):

The Southern French Front:

The Italian Army of Sicily (The Scum of the Earth): D100 + 10 => 12
The Spanish Invasion of Southern France:D100 => 1
The French Army of Aquitane:D100 - 30 => 62
The Defense of Aquitaine:D100 - 30 => 54

Pain. Suffering…. Destruction. That was Aquitaine and Toulouse. The Spanish Army and captains gambled their forces. And lost.

The defense of Frances's southern Region, turned into a disastrous nightmare, one that the Italian Army suffered greatly from.

Every farmhouse, a fortress of radicalism and fear, and pikes and shots, turning simple attacks to secure supplies into a hellish affair of hand-to-hand fighting. A rifle and spear and sword and pike behind every blade of wheat. Because that was what they were dealing with.

And any attempt to push forward was utterly stopped at Aquitaine itself, the city's walls and fortresses too much.

Five thousand dead. Another ten thousand were wounded, and Prince Cosmo fled to Tulon, and requested an immediate evacuation of the Army of Sicily.

But the navy controlled the waves so that they were able to.

But it was a disaster, one that many barely survived.

Reward: The Entire Spanish invasion force was annihilated by the French Partisans and the French Army of Aquitaine.

Cosmos Scum of the Earth was only saved from total defeat by two rifle regiments armed with the latest of the Grazini rifles, and the Italian Navy's uncontested control of the sea.

The invasion has failed.

Spain is dredging for its heroes to rise to build a new army, but no one can come until the harvest is over.
--------------------------

The Army of Northern Italy (The Arditi):D100 + 10 => 60
The French Army of the Netherlands:D100 - 30 => 60

The Arditi smashed into the French Army of the Netherlands.

They smashed for every inch of ground they burned that could not be used by the French King.

And their enemy knew it. And it was just barely able to stop them before the winter.

Reward: Nothing has been gained, and nothing has been stopped.

Nothing has changed other then men had to die.
------------------------------------------------------
The Main French Army of Germany (Pope King Louis Army):D100 - 50 => 35
Gotz the Ironhanded:D100 => 15
The False Emperor:D100 => 36
Is the Pope King captured?: D100 => 61 (No, He escapes, but only just)

Victory, but only just.

The False Emperor looked to the battlefield and saw the slaughter, and to his wound that had nearly killed him. One that he had barely been able to squeak by by the last desperate charge of not only his army but himself leading the final charge.

The French Army was broken. It's king in retreat. Slipping through his grasp like a damn snake! He wanted to continue, but with what army? Gotz's forces were mauled, almost completely shattered, scattering into the wind before that final charge saved it from oblivion.

But his forces could barely continue. But they had faith… but he didn't know if he could push forward.

The False Emperor then sighed and looked.

He could still move, he could still fight.

His nobles, his peasants his people could abandon him.

But he would never abandon them. Not while he still drew breath.

Reward: The French Main Army has been destroyed, but the Southern German army has been shattered.

The False Emperor's army barely exists, but still able to fight… even though they should have died in that battle. But for the Emperor's personal bravery, turning the tide.

Germany would be free.

But what Germany would be, would be a matter for others to decide.

But Germany would never bow to any master, save for one she chose herself.
-------------------------------------
The Italian Navy:D100 + 20 => 112+D100 + 20 => 53
The Spanish Navy:D100 => 53
The French Northern Fleet:D100 - 30 => 61

Destruction. Revenge.

Terror.

The French Navy tried to keep itself together and did good progress on the Spanish fleet.

Yet nothing remained once the Italians came. And destroyed them all. They had saved their brothers in Tulon. Now they would exact their revenge.

Reward: Italia Rules the Waves.
------------------------------------------
The Italian Fleet of Rhodes:D100 + 20 => 90+D100 + 20 => 85
The Italian Army of Greece:D100 + 10 => 79
The Ottoman Defense of Greece:D100 => 65

Athens Fell. The entire Peninsula was considered Italian Territory, and the Greeks met their heroes as liberators.

And all that could be said of the Ottomans, was simple. They fled at the sight of Italian Ships.

And Colonel Bonaparte was making a name for himself.

An incredible name it would be. if he wasn't stopped.
-----------------------------------------------

Ottoman Forces Elsewhere:D100 => 87

But even with setbacks… Suliman's ambitions went unchecked elsewhere. But he did not know just how dangerous Bonaparte was.

He was no Severin. He did not fear any man, not named Severin.

Reward: Let's see if Bonaparte can make a name for himself.

And Suliman is pushing south, east and West... and somewhat succeding everywhere but in Greece.

The French beat us up, the False Emperor barely managed to expel the French but now a good part of Germany is destroyed, at sea we managed to maintain superiority. Bonaparte appears to be defeating the Ottomans, although Suliman is still advancing on almost all fronts.
