So, highlights of my plan above. I've started using Tutoring, which means better dice for FSA and TRF, which people apparently feel strongly about. Also, this frees up an action... that I've used for another Arm Meridian. Since we already had one Arm Meridian open, that puts us in position to get:
And of course the plan still has Dragon.
- AC3 (uses previously-opened Arm Meridian)
- FSA5 (uses Arm Meridian)
- TRF4 (uses Spine Meridian)
- FZ5 (uses Heart Meridian)
And of course the plan still has Dragon.

A small chance of getting that last Art, and an implicit show of trust towards CRX by all but telling her we train in all other three.
Pretty sure CRX will note the subtext here. Might even trigger something if the Art Set is actually Important to have before joining the Inner Sect.

I'll also not that with buffer extraordinaire Ling Qi joining, it actually raises the chance of success of the whole thing. It would be a shame to have GG go "alone" and get wrecked if we don't join.

You burn a favor for an arguably better effect (CRX should go out of her way to look/ask for it). Said favor is significant, the last one got us an two tiers ahead flying robe!
There's also that considering how significant said favor is I very much doubt the thing is valid as a "free action".
I'd say, IF CRX responds negatively to the mentioning free action, then spending a minor on in next week would be reasonable.
Also it has dragon, which imo is a waste of 2+ actions, at very least before breakthrough.
And no actions with expected stealth or larciny for free weekly autosuccesses.

Not saying there are hundreds of Trials. But not every trial needs be a handcrafted test with Elder Tutoring as prize. A number of Sect points and some pills to the tune of Highsun/Starlight would né plenty as reward, and so would an Argent Art.
Same way we did Dragon Fruit.

Why? The reasoning is entirely IC, and Ling Qi herself felt there was something to accumulating Argent Arts.
I have to say the low turnover in missions weirds me out. Sure, we only list the missions that catch Ling Qi's interest, but we can't be the only disciple running these kind of missions. Appease the Forest feels risky to me not because of Yan Renshu but because it's been on the board for so long that it might well be too late.

Eh, there are likely dozens of Missions at a time, and we are only looking for high-end yellow or beginner green missions.
The amount of first and second years thst are Green can be counted with one's hands, perhaps on one hand.
Not to mention not everyone is dirt poor, especially those who made it this far. Or can level up arts quickly. Or has cultivation arts that base off one type of sux.

It's not a matter of the cost of making the jade slips, it's the value of keeping it rare.
IRL printing money doesn't cost the gouvernament (much), but printing too much leads to (among other things) devaluation of said money.
Having 4, and only 4, slips in circulation for hundreds of Outer Sect disciples (depending on how many 2nd+ years can actually get them too) makes it a valid method of selections, as only the most powerful and/or lucky disciples among those that actually go out and put themselves at risk in trials, have a chance of getting these.
Having dozen slips makes them worthless as a method of selection.

It's just another measurement of success, but far from an absolute one. There are plenty of people in the sect that are Inner/Core material and only really practice Argent Soul because it has synergy with literally everything.
Money gets inherently less valuable if one prints too much, but jade slips still ultimately countain the same art, they have inherent value, unlike money.
For all that "luck is also a skill" talk, it's undeniable they would be wasting high talent cultivators that just so happened to take a right instead of a left while exploring.
A bunch of jade slips with the Argent Arts circulating also gives factions something to fight over and hoard, something for the fighty types to duel for, something for the business types to trade for, something for the thief types to steal.
It's absolutely nonsensical there be four Argent slips for hundreds of students.
Not to mention how absurdly unlikely we've found 3/4 of them in less than a year, without really trying too hard.
It's far more likely that there is either a number of complete sets, and/or some Trials have bonus objectives which might drop one of the Argent Arts.

I have zero interest in giving gifts to Li Suyin and no interest in even contemplating traveling down that path again. I think we've all seen how cringy our interactions with her were after we gifted her into eternal debt and I for one do not enjoy them.

I feel "[] Plan Emerald Sea with Gan" is superior to the default Emerald Sea. Could I perhaps convince any of you to switch?

If there were even three of each we'd likely(~51%) have encountered duplicates by now. The more copies there are the more the odds increase. Not to mention others already using the techniques.
A point in favor of dealing with Dragon stuff now.
Zhengui started hibernating at the beginning of week 32. That means that if he sleeps for a full month, he is going to wake up on week 36.
We are currently making plans for week 35, and since this is merely making plans and not carrying them out, the very earliest we could possibly appease the dragon is also week 36.
In other words: if we don't start on the Dragon questline now, we are going to be losing out on the ability to let Zhengui cultivate there. Given that at least half of the point of the site in my eyes is to help Zhengui, that is a hefty cost to pay.

I see the Gan action switching with the Ma action. Since I prefer the Ma action I will not be switching.
