Running back - yeah, no.
This just won't work, because it is such an obvious move, Sun Liling cannot be unprepared for this.

Fighting we never managed to come close to defeating Bai in our spars, and Sun is her peer.

Thus the only option I see as not ending in our defeat automatically is to go for Zequing.

Fuck Sun Liling then, beat us if you will, but looting our shinies? That means war!
 
Staying and fighting has a high chance of failure resulting in loss of the dress, and maybe storage ring, slippers and flute if the fight is even remotely in Ling Qi favor at any point. On the very low chance of actually pulling a win, Sun wouldn't lose much, beyond her gear which is probably easily remplacable (she obviously isn't going to carry valuable stuff unneeded to a fight).
And while it would be a social blow, it's far from crippling. Sure, the boost in rep for Ling Qi would be amazing, but it's not worth the risk.
Also, we will end up fighting her in the Tournament anyway.

Fleeing to Zeqing has a ... rather random chance of success. Alien mentality counter Zeqing probably noticing she screwed up (though definitively not understanting why and how). Considering the fact that the Sun princess is not retarded and will obviously not provoke the OPed Yukionna, and will more probably try to argue some sect or duel rule/law or an other, i'd say the overall chance of escaping that way is rather low.

Jumping down will obviously have some countermeasures from Sun, but with flying, shadow-step, raw speed, counter-formation/trap knowledge, and mist-form I'd say this is the best chance of getting out of this with our gear intact. Sun already proved her defensive formation/traps are sub-par.

Really. Our overconfidence (and stupidly bad luck I admit) from last week comes back to bite us and people are actually voting to fight Sun Liling? Good god the hubris is unbearable.

It would be absolutely hilarious if we could catch her in one of her own net arrows at some point but it's unlikely.

I am tempted by the fight option. You learn more from an opponent who is better after all.
However, losing a couple of weeks to imprisonment would not be good for our tournament prospects.

We would certainly lose at least the dress, I doubt we would be imprisoned or lose our storage ring/more, still, it is possible.

Also, because she's a blood knight, she might accidentally cripple us and make us take weeks to recover. Nope, nope, all the nope.
 
One good reason I can see for fighting her is that it means this ends now. If we put up a decent enough fight, then even if we lose Liling should regard that as sufficient repayment for our infiltration of her fortress, meaning she won't specifically come after us again unless we do something else to poke her.

OTOH, if we successfully run and this ends inconclusively, she won't have repaid us for the poke in the eye we dealt her. Either she has to come for us later on, or she escalates and goes after one of our friends/our home.

Sun Liling is an optimized face puncher, Ling Qi is built around supporting people in mass fight. Thinking that Ling Qi can match Sun Liling in ber specialty is the height of hubris.

Sun is almost certainly prepared for Ling to run to her allies, but I don't think she knows about Zeqing, and Zeqing has no real motive to give Sun even an inch instead of protecting what's hers.

Also I hope for Hanyi interrupt.

Disappointing lack of write ins. Really people. At least try to win.

Zequing might not help us, she might be mad. Although... Look at Cai, sun, the high realm cultivators. We're probably the weird one.

Fighting her... She might respect us more. But she's still going to beat us. Bad. I don't want to bleed out stranded on a mountain.
