Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

If we absolutely must switch weapons, which I don't particularly agree with, at least go to spear instead of sword as that's closer to what was previously voted for.
Sure. I have no problem with going for a spear.

That said, I do think that switching at least until we have one dot in Sword/Spear is warranted, because:
  1. We've been told that knowing knowing Sword/Spear could be a social Faux-Pas.
  2. It is possible that we will have bonuses to other weapons.
  3. We don't actually have an art or a weapon that matches our current training, and we may find ourself finding an art/weapon in the future that requires us to use a particular weapon skill. In light of that is seems better to have a broader foundation than training exclusively in one weapon.

EDIT: Plan updated.

Yeah, as much as I was fond of Politics, the only difference between it and PrimalShadow's plan is the Condor/Disappearance and Shopping vs Han Jian. Honestly I think I've been convinced.

[X] Plan for Progress

I hope I don't egret my decision.

Hmm, I like both Progress and Ash. I'll just wait and see then. By the way, is there any need for omake points to spiritual cultivation?

Not really. We have a baseline of 37 to Spiritual before pills, and our pills push that to 44 for the normal roll and 47 for the bonus roll. That is 91 dice total, and we only need 43 successes; we get that that 92% of the time. I mean, we might get unlucky and fail anyway - there is a 1/12 chance, roughly - but most likely, we will do just fine.

No one wants to spend time with Su Ling given she might have broken through this week? :(
We'll congratulate her by inviting her to hunt wolves next week.

We need a bit less- @yrsillar forgot the +2 auto-success to the second action, and you are forgetting the +4 auto-success there.

Hmmm... @PrimalShadow is there any specific benefit that you are looking for in the Han Jian political action? I mean, if we do the shopping action next week, we wouldn't be able to use the nice new pills we will have access to until the week after.

So my question is, what are you hoping from the Han Jian action that can not be gotten next week? Also, it might be nice to have some more exposure to the council before asking Han Jian political questions and I'm pretty sure that the council is set up at the end of the week.

I just think that having the options to use better pills next week is more valuable than any political advice that Han Jian could give us this week.

Also, might want to add the qi expansion pills because you are now getting two new qi rolls.

If I had been writing up a plan this week, one thing I would have done now that Suyin had stabilized was invite her to train with us with the Jian. We've done the setup, spent social capital on making sure Xuilan doesn't bully her again, and with hunting I suspect Su Ling would benefit because she would get to be the expert in a group, which would be good for her. She's too used to being the outcast, a moment of leadership might help her.

But I'm not going to split the vote, and Ash does enough of what I want not to rock the boat.

Then there's the fact that we don't even know if she broke through to Yellow or not. If she did, great everything's peachy keen. But if she didn't then she's going to be frustrated and things will probably go sideways when an angry Su Ling meets Fan Yu and Gu Xiulan.

Yes. We are about to go into the gov't meeting, and given our growth I would not be surprised if people actually asked our opinion on stuff. I'd like to have a better idea of how the power-structures among our peers would normally be laid out so that if we have to make any decisions they would be informed decisions. Does that make sense?

I do sympathize with this perspective, and I can't say I'm not tempted. On the other hand, if we do end up challenging someone next week and take their stuff, a shopping action would be much better situated after said looting, so that is at least a weak point in favor holding the shopping an extra week.

We own Qi expansion pills, so they are being used from the inventory.

Some of the pros for the Han jian political talks is that we get even more info to work off of. Plus empire fluff maybe some knowledge on what's going on in the golden fields etc. It helps us get a bigger picture of the outside world and will help us make better decisions with less toxicity and guesswork. ( knowledge is power yo)

Also It allows us to spend time with him without it being "date like" which would alienate Gu who he is ignoring atm.

We could possibly even bring up the topic of why he's ignoring her which might help him a bit and also talk more into the politics of the situation with fan yu etc.

As much as I don't want to get dragged into the major political games its better to know what's ahead then to be ignorant.

We also get to pet best cat.(also egg will hatch soon eeeeeeeeeeee)

Alright, time to talk about politics!

Do people feel that it will be more valuable to challenge people by Xuilans side, get loot (which can be used to make us stronger), and be proactive in crafting an image of ourselves as an upstanding cultivator that has no need to resort to cheap tricks like picking on red level cultivators and in fact doesn't appear to want to do that?

Or should we create a new social link in the hopes that he will be able to be a buffer against the enemy cultivator, providing useful insights on avenues of attack using formations and different production methods that could be used to imitate us?

I accully don't like formation guy. I would much rather stay with xuilan and get sweet loot.

10 Points, from the moonfill mission. If we do the Condor Mission successfully, that would put us at 20 points - enough to buy a 2nd floor art if we want to, or a bit more than what we would need to get a single day of tutoring.
Single day of tutoring are... lacklustre. They certainly have their places if we want to train specific skills and gain specialities, which is good, or if we want to open meridians.

But, well... They actually give us less than a halved roll of training. So if we assume every sect missions give us 15 sect points, it's still flat out worse to use them for tutoring than simply doubling up our action instead. And doubling up actions is not very efficient.

Don't forget, tutors are pretty good at raising our stats as well, and they can give us an additional Physical or Spiritual roll depending on which attribute/stat we train with them.

That's not completely true. Look at what we got from training with Meizhen. We didn't just get a big dice bonus on the roll, we also trained a bunch of skills at the same time. I think trainers will do the same thing.

That said, I would rather save up for a week trainer and pick something we can spend three actions on.

I'd much prefer for the week tutor guys.

Remember the tutor is more then just stat buffs, it's a new social link , chance of getting new arts, items, and info.

But only if you go for week tutor
