Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

I'm not sure it's that useful? We only have ZB as a Wind art, and it's a pretty basic and weak one at that. I'm not sure FVM counts as a Water art. It doesn't seem amazing, just good.
At the moment we only have ZB as a wind art, but we know that FVM is a water art because it is also affected by our gown. Also, we are planning on getting an art this upcoming week and a wind art would be a decent choice because of ease we will have in leveling it up, meaning it won't be that big of a deal to switch out of it. Also, I believed we were thinking on getting the upgraded version of ZB in the archives at some point at which point this would be much more useful.

Mmmmh.
[] Tunnel
Great way if we want to take some risk and going stealthily, trying to ambush our ambushers.

[] Retrace steps
Possibly the safest option, but possibly has the ambushing disciples waiting for our exit that way as they must have guessed we went in another way.

[] Find a new path down
Certainty of no ambushing disciple, though anything can happen (finding other disciples, finding spirit beasts, whatever)

Pfft, moon rabbits~

Anyway, nice accessory talisman. We lose the extra point of defense from Hawk Talon Armguards, but the extra offensive dice is very helpful, whether we use ZB or FVM.

[X] Retrace steps

Worse comes to worst and we have a possibility of being saved by the ice spirit we just made friend's with.

As for coming back when we increase our melody , it most likely wants us to take on its offspring as a spirit to help facilitate her growth but we can't really bind a spirit that strong yet.

We really do feel like we are gonna become a summoner character with our high qi and specialty in exotic .

Wonder what was up with the rabbits tho? Anyone have any ideas. There was even a grade 3 mixed in there

"It was… no trouble at all." She wasn't sure how sincere that had sounded.

Going by the slight twitch of the older spirits lips, the answer was not very. "Is that so?" She said, managing to sound dubious without changing her tone at all. "Regardless, you have my thanks for entertaining her. Be on your way, and perhaps we will speak again when your melody has matured."
Blizzard Pin: A silver pin with a snowflake ornament. Icy cold to the touch. Adds two dice to offensive clashes in which the user casts a wind or water art. Reduces the cost of wind and water arts by one to a minimum of one.
So we got a shiny, gained another overpowered spirit's attention and got to hang out with the adorable Hanyi. We know mama plans to wait to see us again but I'm kinda hoping to see Hanyi next time we do this mission.

Well I'm thinking that we still want to find a site so we shouldn't retrace our steps and also probably best to avoid a possible ambush in the tunnel

We got some super rolls earlier and I'll be damned if I let them go to waste! (If you're gonna make us reroll them though I'll be sad :()

They've been scared off by the adult Yuki Onna? Makes sense that she'd reward us for our patience that way.

Let's play it safe yeah?

Edit: I might swap to find a new path though. I'll see how the discussion goes.

Edit 2: Methinks I'll swap to this

In eastern cultures, the rabbit is associated strongly with the moon. Since this was the moonflower, we can assume that the spirit rabbits have a connection to it. Whether it is that they like the scent or are the guardians of the flower, or something else I don't know. It could be that the clause "forbidden to damage the flower" was because of these rabbits and what they would do to the person that would do such a thing. It would also protect the sect because they can just tell the rabbits that he was forbidden from hurting the flower, so there is no need to unleash the killer rabbit on the rest of the innocent disciples.

Hmm, 29/39 Qi.

At any rate, without a yukimusume bothering the path, a normal storm is probably less dangerous, especially with the Crescent Grace.

I'm glad people caught that. Of course it'd be lunar rabbits. Also sheesh, a grade 3 lunar rabbit? How exactly do people survive this mission normally (as an OD mission, the highest taker will probably still only be 2nd realm)? Or is this more like a horror mission - run away under a moonless night while being chased by a pack of thirsty rabbits? That's hilarious.

So ways down -

Retracing steps - least risk
New path down - explore the mountain roll
Tunnel - possible ambush, chance to loot

We didn't actually spend that much qi for an encounter with a peer (2nd grade spirit) - 10 is about normal and our available qi is still high - so I think we can mostly freely choose which way to go dependent on our risk analysis.

We got pretty lucky / good rolls on the strength tests for climbing though. Sheesh.

FVM is a water art, since it uses a water Meridian. If that doesn't convince you, note that our robes give a 1 point discount to water, and it applies to FVM.

It's highly likely that if we'd damaged the Moonflower, the rabbits would have gone all Monty Python and the Holy Grail on us. If people have completed this mission before, then I'm inclined to guess that the Lunar Rabbits are there as guardians of the flower. Possibly a test of courage also, to deter those who would give up rather than face the swarm of spirits.

I might point out that they're probably trying to hint something if they're filling the pass in again after we left.
Well, I don't think the snow storm was caused by those spirits. I think it was a normal snowstorm but Hanyi decided to start manipulating it in order to give us a harder time. The Mother was probably able to alter the storm somewhat, but only for a time and has let it go its normal course now.

However, you do make a good point about how the ambushing disciples might be trying to track us down and are in the pass and the snow spirits are interfering with them in that regard.

Hmmm... Decisions, decisions.

Hmmm. I like Momma.

We must have a bonus to Spirit Diplomacy. Or maybe it's the fact we aren't an asshole.

Maybe Spirits have an Asshole-dar?
