See, when I searched for different images of Ji, that type of halberd was one of the images that popped up.
@yrsillar if one of the weapons that are chosen has multiple variations, such as the Ji, will we be able to pick out the type that we want or will you decide what type it is?
@yrsillar, I guess Glaive and Chinese Halberd/Ji are two different votes right?
I love spears TBH.
Not sure if this stuff falls under spear or halberd though. Although TBF, if Ling Qi is going to sneak around her mists shanking people, a short sword would be better.
I disagree. Our fights won't necessarily be always against human opponents, as we will be doing a crazy number of sect missions. I would rather hunt with a bow than with a knife. Also, because bows are specialized at dealing damage at range, their DV will be higher and the hope is to get something armor piercing. This means that we can set up the mists, get into a position, fire the bow and then move and fire again. The mists will make it much harder to dodge the arrows and the better DV and potentially armor piercing means we can end fights faster with it.Which I wager will almost never happen in Ling Qi's time at the sect, and probably not all that often elsewhere. Meanwhile, something like a knife? Can suddenly come out of a sleeve or from behind the back while the eye is occupied elsewhere.

@yrsillar, Hong Lin was using STR as her base stat with her Guai, but Hang Dua was using Dex. How do we know if a weapon uses Dex or STR as primary stat?
I encourage you to vote for what you want! Because Ling Qi after Instructor Zhou's second test had the spotlight shown on her, and refugee in audacity is a thing. Besides polearms are practical for mounted combat whereas a sword short is significantly less so.Feeling conflicted, this is why I wanted to stay with knives
Polearms are awesome, especially for wind but they just don't seem like Ling Qi's sort of weapon. Too ostentatious. I'm kinda liking the chain whip idea, plus it'd sort of fit in with the plan to become a knock off (and eventually real) Bai. Also think it would be one of the best ways to get distance and complement wind abilities but this is mainly for Meizhen.
