To be honest, I didn't expect breakthrough to actually succeed first time. Interesting vote associated with it...
[X][breakthrough] To ensure that her wings could carry as much weight as she wished
So the bonus is for "over 20 qi" and is a flat amount tacked on... I suppose "double your qi" was too much to hope for
. A Mental/Social Attribute dot, eh? I favor Resolve, as 'determination' is a key factor in a protagonist. For those looking for "optimization", Resolve *is* one of the 3-dot attributes, so the most bang for the buck there. Composure is my second choice - although Intelligence would probably help in learning Formations... hmmm...

So - it looks like things you've mastered (or at least advanced sufficiently) upon breakthrough give "mastery" bonuses. Natural site bonuses x1.5 - that's a nice perk from Argent Soul Mastery; a couple successes for Argent Soul, a couple dice for cultivation, very nice. Stealth boost from Dark, initiative boost from Wind... and a mystery bonus. Looking at it, perhaps its from actually completing Zephyr's Breath? Or is from Argent Soul hitting four in conjunction with it? Regardless, faster advancement for wind techniques and for ranged weapons - growth bonuses are nice.
And all that was needed for the extra action *was* Early Yellow - I guess I was wrong there.
Now, Li Suyin and Su Ling. Li Suyin's injuries (fortunately) might be fixable by her in the near-future, she got some tempering, and she was thinking about quitting again - hopefully that'll be the last time. Her attackers didn't get away with it, though, and with some teaching, the talismans Ling Qi supplied and the latter's help if necessary, I would expect her to pay them back some more in the future. Su Ling seems grateful in her gruff way as well.
Huang Da is a bit of a surprise... but I kinda expected him to give Ling Qi minor assistance in the hopes of impressing her. For what it's worth, I suspect his feelings are genuine, although he's not very able of being not-creepy about it and how long his feelings will endure (he apparently has obsessed over others before Li Suyin), I suspect he won't be trying to harm Ling Qi or her 'followers' (I was right about that part, it looks like). I think he'll still compete with her for prizes, of course, and if Ling Qi is looking to get closer to some other guy he might react poorly, but I don't think he'll be a threat for some time.
Bai's definitely got a vendetta - I hope she'll keep it away from the sect's bottom line while she's here. Ling Qi's participation in the house hunt means she gets to sway Bai into a place near Gu - that could be useful. Also, Bai doesn't seem to disapprove of Gu's family, which is a start - I don't know if Ling Qi will be able to forge her three (perhaps four?) different social linkages into one large group, but I see it as conceivable. Gu's objection to Li Suyin seems to be in the latter's pacificism (and Su Ling's crudeness)... well, that first looks to be changing, while the latter seemed intrigued enough by Han Jian (or his swordsmanship) to try swords out herself. Bai, Li and Su are at least on neutral terms. Some of Han Jian's group (looking at you, Fan Yu) are problematic, and there's bound to be plenty more obstacles - but it's conceivable. Give Ling Qi some time to continue to shine in the sect and she might pull the others along eventually.
Actions. Well, going for Silver seems clear enough, so that's two actions. Celebrating breakthrough with Gu seems a reasonable return both for her helping Ling Qi with things and for the celebration she held for her; as a bonus, perhaps seeing if her view of Li Suyin might be mellowed by the latter becoming less pacifistic. Going to the Cai meeting, now that Ling Qi has hit Yellow, might be warranted - Ling Qi's advanced enough that strictures about "punching down" might be considered to apply to her... plus, showing up is giving Cai face.
That leaves two actions. I'd say its time to puzzle out the tokens, and pushing Argent Soul towards completion - 39/100 is substantial progress that Ling Qi shouldn't abandon, and the earlier that finishes the sooner she can start work on Eight Phase Cycle.
@yrsillar, now that Ling Qi's broken through, perhaps you could solve the debate over whether getting Argent Soul 5 before hitting Yellow would've been beneficial? Also, what does Ling Qi know about what Eight Phase Cycle would offer?
EDIT:
[X] Plan Clearing the Backlog
I want the tokens investigated.
